also, can the new 3DS still play DS games? I have a flash card with a shit ton of DS games and it would suck if I couldn't play them.
DS flashcarts don't work with the 3DS at all. You need a special 3DS cart.

The one I have now works perfectly fine on my old 3DS XL
[editline]14th January 2015[/editline]
Also, limited editions are cool and all, but when they're so limited that they get sold out in 15 minutes? That's just unfair. I hope they ship out more majora's mask bundles.
I'm really butthurt over how left out NA is in everything Nintendo
Giving NA only the N3DSXL and not the regular N3DS is flat out terrible to me
I seriously want to hear a statement from them why there's such drastic segregation in how they treat regions.
I kind of wish that limited edition MM 3ds was purple instead of gold.

Yeah, NA's really been screwed over region wise all these years. Don't know why NA's been last in line for literally everything.
Getting back from Gamestop, I looked at my receipt and it had a general Item Description for the N3DS and they double charged me for a Zelda Amiibo I bought also. Called them and went back to pick up a Kirby Amiibo and double checked with them, they said the given SKU was for the Zelda bundle.
I feel good :D . This is a great birthday gift for myself :D
I just picked up Fire Emblem: Awakening last Sunday.
Currently trying to hook up my avatar character with Sumia.
Also, from what I'm hearing around the net, the NA N3DS doesn't come with an AC adapter.
What.

None of them do.
They assume if you're getting a N3DS, you already have one laying around.
What they don't realize is that most stores don't accept 3DS/XL for trade to a new system without the AC adapter (and even if they do, they frequently knock as much as $30 off the value without it), so you can't keep it, and have to shell out for a new one unless you want severely reduced value at trade. No matter what, you're spending more money, and that really sucks.

Well gamestop will accept the 3DS but will give like $20 less trade in value. It happened to me with Zelda XL
Either way, that's $20 more you're spending, whether compensating for reduced trade value, or having to buy a new AC adapter (which you can bet will be sold out everywhere on release day, or have their price increased in anticipation of demand)
What if people end up scalping N3DS chargers
What if people end up scalping N3DS chargers
I don't think that's a "what if" question, I think it's a "how badly" question
I don't think that's a "what if" question, I think it's a "how badly" question
It's probably gonna be even worse than Amiibos because you need a charger to use the system more than a few times.
I'm getting hounded by people asking where to order the MM XL from for UK/Europe. Anybody know?
Seriously, any advance on this? I've got a OCD collector friend who is pulling their hair out on not being able to order it, and neither of us can find where to buy it for the UK/Europe.

Unless they restock or put it up on another dealer, then it's completely sold out.
Eiji Aonuma sits down and plays Majora's Mask 3DS. I'm really liking the amount of detail and the added space in the South Plaza, feels weird to see the bank behind the Clock Tower now.

Just realized, we are getting MM3D earlier since it isn't Autumn (Or Spring) till March.
Why the hell is the Majora's Mask New 3DS only exclusive for Gamestop?! They don't ship to my damn address so I'm screwed. I just pray Amazon has it eventually.
I just realized something. If you're going to be pre-ordering a new 3DS system from Gamestop and plan on trading in your old 3DS for the extra credit towards the New 3DS, remember that your Nintendo ID is linked to your old system so you won't be able to re-download games you bought from the eShop on your new 3DS without having your old one there to do a system license transfer.
I called Gamestop and I could pre-order the special Majora's Mask 3DS but I have to pay in full so I can't put money down and pick it up on release with my old system so I can do the transfer and then pay the rest.
At EB Games they transferred all the stuff from my 3DS XL to the New 3DS
Unless they restock or put it up on another dealer, then it's completely sold out.
I cannot find the listing for it anywhere.
Eh. Without the game preinstalled it kinda loses it's flare. To be honest, I'd really rather get that faceplate

Which is pretty much this.
n3ds chargers are the same as 3ds chargers
so just save your charger if you already have one. that's all it takes.
so just save your charger if you already have one. that's all it takes.
... And lose trade-in value (or the ability to trade your system in at ALL at some stores; Gamestop doesn't count "incomplete" 3DS sets towards upgrade discount) as a result.
THAT is why not including an AC adapter sucks. Either you part with it and have to buy a new one (more expensive), or don't and have to compensate more towards the trade-in (also more expensive). It's a lose-lose, unless you already own two for whatever reason.
At EB Games they transferred all the stuff from my 3DS XL to the New 3DS
The new 3DS isn't out in the US yet, it's only up for pre-order, and if you want one of the two limited edition versions (Monster Hunter or Majora's Mask) you have to pre-order them because they'll run out and you'll have to either hope they have some in stock after release or buy a normal one. I was just mentioning the license thing so people who are trading in their 3DS' to pay for a pre-order of the new one using Gamestop's current deal that's going on would know.
Does MH3 not work with the N3DS' C-stick? My friend is saying it doesn't work for some reason.
I'm not sure whether I should drop $130 on a used XL or spend $230 on a New 3DS. I'm guessing I should get a New 3DS at this point.
Does MH3 not work with the N3DS' C-stick? My friend is saying it doesn't work for some reason.
It does.

It does, you have to enable it in the options.
