New 3DS Megathread v6 - Games

Majora's Mask 3d certainly looks a lot more vibrant and colourful than the original. Which I don't think I like in the ocean segment. It loses a lot of the murky, bleak feeling as the 3DS version is a lot more tropical.

This is sold out everywhere except for best buy, apparently.

Would inserting my SD card from my 3ds into my new 2ds be viable? I want to transfer my saves.

Follow the instructions carefully and you'll have it done in no time.

This is literally the worst time they could announce the Majora's Mask 3DS for me, let alone the new 3DS in general. Christmas made me fucking broke as shit, I hope they'll have plenty made for the upcoming month so I have a chance to get a hold of one.

I don't know, right now i don't see much of a reason to upgrade to a n3DS but I have to admit that limited edition is pretty sweet.

Ill get a new one on Black Friday.

How can a place even sell out on preorders? Like, isn't the whole point of preorders is to be able to secure an item before its released?

I'm really grappling with the choice of getting the "New" 3DS Monster Hunter 4 bundle: [img]http://www.gamestop.com/common/images/lscreen/268553_440x350.jpg[/img] It's $229.99, which is a lot of money to drop, but damn, it's so sexy.

I'm gonna have to wait for a while to get the New 3DS. My wallet is empty and Nintendo is already digging pretty deep in it for this year.

I'm kind of conflicted on my own thoughts. I want to try and go for the MM N3DS set or the MH one, but at the same time I've been REALLY looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Do you think they may release a special bundle for the series, or is that probably a no chance?

Hint: If they do, it will probably be JP only.

Nintendo makes say 100,000 units and then sells those units to Best Buy or whatever. Nintendo then sells no more. So Best Buy only has 100,000 to sell. They are limited for a reason. Nintendo is not doing a "we make 1 copy per preorder" sort of thing. They are making X copies and that is it.

When the shipment from Nintendo came, they only received 3. So he had to go tell 6 people to fucked themselves and gave back their money. So it just goes to show one of the variables that can cause Pre-orders to go wrong. [sp]In hindsight, that had nothing to do with your question. I just wanted to share that story.[/sp]

And sometimes stores panic and cancel all preorders because they don't think they're going to be able to meet the number they need. The reason why they do this is because the number of people who call in to reinstate their preorder is always lower than what it was before. It's sort of like a very rude test of faith; the people who REALLY want whatever it is will put down for it again, while the impulse folks likely won't.
