source?
The video says "Nintendo 3DS" instead of "New Nintendo 3DS", so it's implied that it's for both versions. Apparently (and this is the strange part), it wasn't meant for the digital event at all, but for Friday. The E3 reference is because it's gonna be at Treehouse Live, not because of it being at Nintendo's E3 video. That's...peculiar, because there's a lot of hands being played from Nintendo that are happening around their event but not during it. We'll have to see, I suppose.
This year's E3 is just weird. Nintendo seems to have so much on their hands, it's like they have to space out reveal before, during and after E3. Most people seem to think they have something very big but I can't help but think they'll pull a Wii Music on us.
Hyrule Warriors for 3DS was probably going to be a segment during their E3 presentation, but now it'll be the resident sleeper segment because we all know it exists.
So someone spotted an interesting detail.

Reupload of the Hyrule Warriors 3DS trailer since the other one went private

If we get a female Link, I want a male Zelda. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CutFiwJ.jpg?1[/t] Like this or something.
^That actually looks pretty well-designed.
A spinoff that deals with alternate dimensions would be the perfect way to gauge how people would react to a female Link.
Plus it's not canon so there would be no consequences towards the main series. I really hope she gets in. The design itself is really cool.
I'll be honest, if there is a Zelda game where the only option is a Female Link, I probably wont be happy with it, I'd prefer an option to play as Female or Male Link. It's not that I don't want a game to have it Female Link Only, it's just that I am really use to being a Male Link and it is easier for me to identify with a Male Link than it is a Female Link. This would be the same if Link was a Female in the first place, I would be saying the same thing if they were going to have a Male only Link game. If you have tons of games staring a specific Gender, I am sure a lot of people would be rocky about having the opposite as an only in a future release. I am not against it, it just wouldn't sit well for me, I'd still buy it. Nintendo having an option between the two genders would be fantastic, and I'd prefer that. I hope that made sense, it's just my opinion on the whole what if Link was a Girl debate.

I could see what you mean if they featured a previous Link in a new adventure but suddenly he's a girl, but if they're all different people anyway I don't see why there would be a problem with that new person being different in that way.

All I am saying is that since I am used to playing as a Male Link, it doesn't sit with me if they suddenly released a Female Link Only game as I would have trouble getting used it. Probably due to my Autism, I am not fond of changes all together.
I wouldn't mind it at all since all it would do is probably change a few lines of dialogue and the model in from of you in the main series. Unless they add romance like in Skyward. That's where it can be a little more complicated. Or not depending on their views on relationships. Another option would be similar to how Tecmo imagined Linkle: as a separate character. When they said that she would have been a "sister-like" figure, I thought of Aryll in Wind Waker. She doesn't offer much in the WW besides an objective for the player but they could work it out as a 2nd Quest option, where the sister takes the reins and saves Hyrule. This concept would allow to keep the male Link the main icon if that's what Nintendo is going for but still allow the player to play as another gender afterwards. As a reward and a massive surprise since I doubt they ever reveal it. Plus we need more 2nd Quest options. Not just Hero Mode. Bonus: They could even emphasize on Link's laziness, which is a recurring theme in the series. Imagine a thing like TP where you have to deliver something to the castle but Link is just so lazy, his sister decides to do it and ends up in the adventure instead. Add the fact that each time you go back to the house, Link is always caught sleeping but there are signs that he did shores around. This would effectively ruled out the problem of him actually speaking. This is just stuff that I pulled out on the spot. Either or not we get an option will not influence my decision on buying it. It's a Zelda game and I enjoyed all of them, even Zelda 2. I am not difficult to please.

Yeah I think I'd be alright with a Female Link only game now that I thought about it.

Legend of Zelda has always been about Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf being the playable hero, the princess, and the villain. You can change what they do, but shifting playability away from the traditional Link would feel weird. I love doing stuff with Sheik where Zelda gets some shit done, but a female Link would feel weird in a main series, a series that always had certain constants.
I think the talk of Female Link's flame got brighter because of a few things last year: -Mr. Aonuma dropping the "Never said it was Link", which he retracted afterwards. A little tease. -Link very androgynous design, both body and face. -Same man said a that they are trying to change the Zelda formula. -Hyrule Warriors Linkle concept. (Which weapon, the crossbow, appeared in the 3DS HW character pop-out) It's those "hints" that keep the idea alive. I wouldn't be surprised that Mr. Aonuma is testing a lot of ideas with Hyrule Warriors, like roaming Giant Bosses and items being combat weapons. He expressed his liking for roaming bosses and they might be added to Zelda U.
You're honestly kidding yourself and a little bit narrow-minded if you can't ever see Link being female. Link's gender plays no bearing on his character and it shouldn't even be an issue if it were changed. Honestly, I'd really, really like to see a female Link, or a Zelda game where Zelda herself is the protagonist. what I'd really love though, is a Zelda where you play as Impa.
Zelda U and the whole revamped formula idea are the perfect opportunity to implement new concepts and ideas. Both Miyamoto and Aonuma expressed their feelings on the fact that loads of their original ideas for LoZ never made the cut in older games because of limitations and that the Wii U might make them become reality. Not only the massive world and extensive exploration but probably combat things (like horseback fighting being a lot better now has Epona has her own AI) or even upgrade systems (Skyward Sword's system was simple and fun. Imagine that for tunics and Epona). They have loads of room to work with.
New Zelda that seems to be testing new stuff like different tunics. And yet another hint at a possible Female Link with that Zelda garb.
So I'm planning on upgrading my New 3DS XL 4gb micro SD to a 32gb micro SD and I'm very wary of losing all my game data (especially for MonHun4U, I DO NOT want to start that over again). I've read through the IGN article on upgrading (http://www.ign.com/wikis/nintendo-3ds/Moving_3DS_SD_Card_Data) but I'm still concerned. How can I be sure this works? I feel like everywhere I go, there's a slight difference in what I'm supposed to do that I honestly can't trust anything or anyone.

Just copy the files from one SD to the other and your good. It's only a pain when your moving to an entirely different 3ds because of DRM.

I mean, it's Nintendo, they make you jump through hoops some times.
