What is a good 3DS game to pick up as of recently?
What is a good 3DS game to pick up as of recently?
I don't really know any good recent titles but Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 is coming out in a week or so in North America.
I really wanna play happy home designer because I like making themed houses and AC in general but I don't want to collect a hundred cards to do so- let alone cards of villagers I hate
binding of isaac rebirth is now out on the NA eshop
I'd hold off till impressions come in. When it launched on the vita it was bogged by slowdown and ran like a turd. I heard they managed to fix most of the issues but on a weaker system who knows.

That's why trading things exists, somewhere someone has to like the ugly villagers.
So it turns out that my 3DS crashes only when the Wi-Fi is on, so now that I turned it off, it works flawlessly.
If I send it to Nintendo, they should be able to fix it, right? If so, how do I send it?

0/10 no kickass doom soundtrack

you have to go through there support site ( http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/index.jsp ) . Although sending it in may cost you a lot of money depending on how recently you bought it. I'm sure you are eligible for a free fixup. I would suggest saving all the data from the sd card onto your computer before sending it in.
Guys, quick, I need a recommendation. Animal Crossing New Leaf or The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time?
The two are drastically different.
Animal Crossing is pretty much endless- it only ends when you get bored of it. I know I still open it once in awhile to see what's going on but it's a very relaxing game. I'd suggest it if you want something you can play in short bursts consistently as it frequently tries to reward the player with something new and interesting to do for at least a full year. It's slow and just mellow all around.
OoT is a classic that plays just about the same as the original with a punched up framerate and updated character models and the like. If you've already played it you know exactly what to expect as they didn't change anything up really (aside from adding a master quest which I always found kinda eh.) But if you didn't and you want a medium-length adventure it's worth checking out. May make you want to play MM which aside from length (to some) is improved in every way.
Do you want to save the world, or build it?
Alright, thanks. I'll go with Animal Crossing New Leaf, but I'll probably still buy Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time after that when I can.
[snip you already decided]

Well, since it is a New 3DS XL, it's pretty recent.
How do I do a backup of my micro SD? Do I just copy everything into a folder in my PC?

Yeah, thankfully it is a really easy process to back up files.
Man I wish I had someone to play Monster Hunter with. Actual legit online play didn't happen until 4, and I only have 3U. No one I know has a 3DS or even lives close to me.
I bought MH4U with a friend recently since we really enjoyed playing the demo together. I've had a lot of experiance with other MH games, but her only experiance is with the demo. I can tolerate all the grinding, but she can't bare it, but I don't want to shoot of in progression without her ;~;
My heart can't handle seeing Rhythm Heaven 3DS and Fire Emblem IF in the stores in Akihabara, knowing that Nintendo still does region locks.
For those in the UK

Might be a silly question, but the game is going to be available without the NFC reader, right?
Yeah, though you have to have it for the Normal 3DS
Really digging that K.K plate.
Dragon Quest 11 has been announced for the PS4 and uh, the 3DS?

Topscreen is in 3D, Bottom Screen is spritework.
Here is the gameplay video

It looks like dragon quest 9 but with better graphics which excites me a whole bunch. Dragon quest 9 is a really, really great rpg, and is always fun to play.
Really cool idea. I'm digging that.
Now imagine remaking old games like that, where they keep the original at the bottom as a map and the upper screen as they imagined it back then.
Something like Zelda 1 or other games that only needed one screen and had a top-down perspective.

Ugh don't fucking remind me about Rhythm Heaven. I'm pretty much never going to be able to play it properly if they don't translate it. However long it takes to emulate the 3DS, the input lag will make rhythm games unplayable (which is also why i couldn't get far with the GBA game) and they'll probably keep making flash carts impossible until no one uses the 3DS anymore.
Times were so much simpler when Nintendo had no fucking clue how to prevent piracy. Imagine if Mother 3 was a 3DS game and everyone outside Japan never got to properly experience it.

I'm having a kind of strange falling out with Mother 3 currently. Been playing 1 - 3 and I think I'm starting to understand why the Japanese reaction is as lukewarm as it is.
When 3 came out I played through it and I cried like a babby and was mad we never got it. To this day I still get all softened up by the ending to a insane degree and I love the cast members but when I play all 3 back to back... I wonder why it had to be a mother game I guess. It shares almost nothing in common with 1 + 2 and if you changed the villain in 3 cosmetically and themed his army differently nothing would be lost.
I think the combat is good, and I think the story is as heartwrenching as ever but outside a few earthbound NPC's and 2 rooms in the entire game there's literally nothing holding it to 1 and 2 and that's kind of a bummer.
So is Cave Story 3D worth hunting a copy?

I think the narrative style is the main thing that ties it together for me. All 3 games are parodical of western society, to a degree, it's only in Mother 3 that this is brought to the forefront of the story. There's a lot of things the first and third have in common too, like the emphasis on Motherly love [sp]Maria towards Giegue and Hinawa towards Lucas and Claus. To an extent you could even say the lack of love Porky's parents showed towards him is one of the things that messed him up so much.[/sp]

I dunno, I won't exactly argue that NO YOU'RE WRONG but it just doesn't feel like there's enough tying 2 and 3 together other than super super super vague themes.
I still love the plot like I said and I think if it had another name entirely I'd have *ZERO* problems with it, it just feels lacking without anything similar to a Magicant for example. [sp]The talk of Drago's and Dragons and all sorts of mythical beasts and the like also make the world feel more generic to me. No angry taxi's, no mad ducks, nothing terribly out there.[/sp]
