Watched the 2015 Point Break, mainly to see how much, if anything at all, was taken from 2015!Bodhi to create Payday!Bodhi. The answer? Very little. Payday!Bodhi is almost entirely based on 1991!Bodhi.
2015!Bodhi is a Venezuelan Eco-Warrior who commits crimes to "give back" to nature, such as raining money out of a cargo plane onto a small mexican village. The 2015 Point Break has only one Ex-Presidents reference, during the beginning where they're using motorcycle helmets painted with caricatures of presidents. Payday!Bodhi looks nothing like Edgar Ramirez and he's not even got the same arm tats.
On the flip side, 1991!Bodhi is an adrenaline junkie with the same kind of "fuck the man" attitude carried by Payday!Bodhi, in addition to both Patrick Swayze and Josh Lenn being from California.

Point Break 2015 was not actually pitched as a remake ; it was supposed to be a new IP altogether, but Hollywood higher ups thought it would have sold more with the "Point Break " name

Only "use" I could see from getting facial animations is maskless characters making a funny face when killed.
Any idea what game that is? Looks fucking intense, dude.
If Bodhi in game was based on Swayze visually I'd probably never not be playing him
Also here's an image I put together comparing Jimmy's face with Sharlto.

I assume they couldn't get Edgar Ramirez's likeness for Bodhi, or else they would have made him look similar.
I watched the movie and there are a few references to 2015!Bodhi and his personality although they're not very obvious:
-When you mask up during assault/before assault with project:phoenix, he says stuff like "if we die today brothers, i'll see you in another life" (i dont remember the exact line), which definitely fits 2015!Bodhi's lines and general attitude in the movie.
-Then he has a few references (i think) to the "line" he follows to do the "Ozaki 8" challenges in the movie, such as "I can see my line, right through your head Taser." (VERY cringy once you know the context) he also has "This is what happens when you follow your own line".
But yeah after watching the movie, i was very dissapointed how little 2015!Bodhi and PAYDAY's Bodhi have in common, they could have done so much more with his personality but in the end he's just the guy with a boring voice that says "bitch"...
I like Payday!Bodhi, he's a silly macho git. Also, his viewmodels are super good.
Tbh I thought 2015!Bodhi was a pretty lame goddamn hippie.

Payday!Bodhi also has the best inspire lines

yo shoutout to the guy who ruined my DW Train Heist stealth run by when he walked by the train car and I capped him quick proceeded to fly off the bridge as if I had tossed him like a garrysmod ragdoll
Shotties for stealth are bad.
Except if you want to send flying a body to a corner and save a bodybag. It helps too when needing to answer a pager after you surrendered a guard and you don't want to answer it in the middle of the room. The Judge is really useful in heists like Shadow Raid.

Your point would have value if I wasn't using the Crosskill.
Just got into this game, and apart from everything being extremely confusing and kind of overwhelming, I'm really liking it so far. A friend told me that abusing the Four Stores job on overkill difficulty was like, the best way to farm up to high level/money back when the game first came out, and I'm having a good time with doing that, but I don't want to get stuck not knowing how to do anything else other than break into 2 ATMs and then jump into a van. I've tried a couple of the other jobs, but they're kinda tough and drawn-out for what I get in return, and I'm afraid of joining a pubbie game and getting shat on by veterans of the game. Can anyone offer any pointers?

Buy the gage courier pack, and stay far far away from four-skull lobbies.

Yep. I like to take a silenced Raven and a Deagle for all scenarios in Stealth; guard launching power, quick kills at a distance.

You know, I still think Time Window and Sirens in the Distance are my favorite tracks.
[editline]30th June 2016[/editline]
Sirens in the Distance especially, something about it does really good for building tension. A lot of the music is mostly just ridiculous and over the top, where as Sirens is much more subdued and frankly makes things feel less like a Michael Bay movie and instead like there is actual danger to the situation.
what is there to spend spendable money on anyway besides weapons? it used to be REQUIRED for skills but now that all skills are free, it doesnt really have much use after you buy your favorite gun.

Before you get your hopes up for "omg custom maps!" be aware that when weapon safes were announced, they also announced Workshop support for custom skins would be coming up.
I wonder how skin creators will get paid now that the safes are free

And let's not forget the Steam thread "Workshop F.A.Q.s" where it was confirmed MULTIPLE times it will be only for weapon skins

Valentine confirmed it's skin only.
Also custom maps are already a thing and there's an unofficial level editor coming soon-ish

As much as I like OVK making pages for all the updates they do, it would be awesome if they asked Simon to make new music for it, like when First Person Animations Update introduced Collide, that was nice.
These new masks are pretty sweet.
