I like that goof-face so much I've made it my avatar. I'm proud of today's accomplishments.

As much as I like OVK making pages for all the updates they do, it would be awesome if they asked Simon to make new music for it, like when First Person Animations Update introduced Collide, that was nice.
You gotta keep in mind that Viklund isn't part of the team anymore and he's probably paid to make new songs now that he's independent
It'd be a lot more cost efficient to reuse old songs for web pages that people don't revisit often and just keep it for game songs which people will listen to over and over

Speaking of which have people made use of viklund besides payday yet?
All i remember is that music kit for CS:GO

I bought his EP recently and its beautiful. It includes classics like From Stockholm With Love and Hold on Tight.
100% worth 5usd (cheaper than parking when you're hardly there)
I reckon Three Way Deal classic is one of Viklund's best. So fucking intense.
the remixes of the original tracks in PD2 are probably the funkiest ones on the soundtrack. Home Invasion, Breach, Gunmetal Grey are all fucking god tier. Only one I think is a bit "ehh" is Crimewave.
So ever since the most recent update that allowed for the saw skin to work on the secondary version as well, I made a quick little script that made it so every skin was available to every weapon (excluding legendaries since those have gun specific attachments included with them).
The results varied from "oh, this actually looks pretty good" to "FUCKING GOUGE OUT MY EYES"

From the latest update:
-Replaced some voice line for securing bags for Bodhi, Sydney, Jimmy and Rust with ones not mentioning numbers

Does anyone know of any bugs concerning the biker safe? I've played for like 10 hours in the past week and haven't gotten it yet.
Does anyone know of any bugs concerning the biker safe? I've played for like 10 hours in the past week and haven't gotten it yet.
Seems to be very random now, as opposed to the old safes which were instantaneous.
Took me 10 hours to get mine. My brother took 8h.
I remember another guy saying like 3h, 8h and 13h on his steam accounts.
Some sort of confirmation from Overkill would be nice as to what the requirements for a safe are but it's probably under NDA from Valve.
I think making the chances to get them random and less common is fair given they are free now. It's basically akin to getting an infamous mask or the like I suppose.
As it turns out, damage your sentry guns deal will count toward Hysteria stacking with the Maniac perk deck. Makes it a whole lot easier to keep toward the max amount, since you have multiple sources adding to your stacks.
It's a lot of fun to pair Maniac with a sentry build because of this.

My sentry build uses Maniac for this reason, it's super useful for keeping teammates alive.

There's a new custom heist which is basically a properly stealthable Mallcrasher, but I long for the day we start seeing actually interesting and memorable custom heists.
If you want to try it out, it's pretty okay. Couple of cool things thrown here and there.

Loved the part when I got ambushed instantly after spawning, which forced me to do the heist loud with stealth equipment

Try restarting then.

this you coyo?
You know, something struck me while playing the first game recently.
In every heist in PD:TH, everything feels like a cold routine. The crew follows procedures, everything is planned ahead of time or quickly arranged on the spot. The police uses some pretty standardized tactics to fight the Payday gang. Deploying sniper units around the location, Bulldozer units, trying to turn off the power or disrupt the criminal activity in any way... But there's one heist that stands out - No Mercy.
The whole heist is a disaster in the making.
The crew's contractor is willing to pay a hefty sum of money as long as the crew doesn't ask any questions. Usually you'd be briefed with what exactly you're supposed to do. Why exactly would a contractor approach the best crew in the city and try to be cryptic?
The isolation ward of Mercy Hospital is completely guarded by armed personnel - something that doesn't really happen in your usual hospital. That's another clue that something is off. Not to mention the amount of police units that arrive AFTER the alarm has been raised.
Then there's our unfortunate patient. The doctor lists an abnormally long collection of symptoms for one person. Not to mention what happens to his body after blood is drawn from him. It all happens in a matter of minutes.
And THEN there's the heist finale. This is where the game drives the point home - you're doing something VERY bad. Bad to the point where THE ARMY is called in to fight four men. And it's not just a mere step up from the usual police opposition like SWAT or FBI - they are entirely willing to bomb the hospital full of innocent people, just to make sure that the Payday gang does not complete their mission and that whatever they're stealing does not get out of the hospital.
I don't even remember if No Mercy is canon or not, but still... damn. It feels like No Mercy is the only heist in the game (if not in the entire series) where you can feel just how MUCH the cops want you DEAD.
i want no mercy in pd2 so badly

Both Valve and OVK confirmed that this heist is not canonical in any means. And thank god it stays this way, because otherwise Payday gang is indirectly rensponsible for events of L4D

That wouldn't be even that much of a stretch considering what the gang have done

Well, to be honest, even Bain didn't knew what is going on, and promptly berates Vlad for it.
Wanted to see if yow could use camera loop the first camera on day 2 of the stealth basics, but the dumpster is just in the way, would be funny if there was special dialogue if you could do that.
Well, to be honest, even Bain didn't knew what is going on, and promptly berates Vlad for it.
Bain's morality is still weird.
You can murder cops by the million, manufacture and sell drugs that are going to cause widespread suffering, he's not overly bothered by the human experiments in the Hardcore Henry heist, questions the gang taking a stance against them and wants you to grab a briefcase presumably full of experimental data from the lab, etc.
But stealing nukes or shooting a civilian? You fucking monster.

He only cares about shooting civilians because it makes things harder for the crew and by extension him, I also imagine he similarly doesn't want to be responsible for fencing nuclear weapons too.

Money talks.
Money talks.
And as they are already got in problem with Murkywater (it was before Locke heists) might as well finish the job.

He also doesn't shut the fuck up about the cocaine in the Hotline Miami heist if you get lost in the maze and the coke starts getting to dangerously low levels
Is the perk deck from the sydney dlc and the shotgun from goat sim worth picking up?

Anarchist is amazing for high armor builds focused on killing. It's also perfect for berserker builds since
you have a ton of armor to protect your already lowered health.
