Unrelated, but it's comforting to know that even 3 years after the game's release newbies still immediately go guns blazing on Rats day 2. Makes coming back after almost a year much less intimidating. :')

I installed Hawks sound mod just because of AA-12(The Steakout 12G), I hate how the original "pooff pooff" sound from this weapon looks bad.
Does Frenzy reduce all damage or just Health damage? Or has it been patched? Gonna try it later

Currently it applies to ALL damage, not just damage to your health like it used to (and is supposed to.) Apparently Overkill introduced this bug when they tried to fix the issues Frenzy had with damage grace but in the most asinine way possible, resulting in it also applying to damage to a player's armor.
Should be patched soon according to Jules.

I love it when guns are [B][I]LOUD[/I][/B] in games. It just makes the guns feel more powerful and the added temporary deafness really adds to [I]~the immersion~[/I].
Fuck, I got a mod that replaces the Buzzsaw's sound with Bad Company 2's MG3 and it's so loud that I could hear the automatic firing from across the room despite the audio device being set to my headset :v:

Go to the "Engine Layout" section and use the table there.
Inside the house (even sometimes in the basement), there are two notepads. You might want to memorize their possible locations. One will tell you if it's D, He or N, and the other will say if it's 1, 2 or 3 nozzles (if it's written "∞", that means 1).
Finally, in the basement, one of the PC monitors will have a graph with either < or >.
Regarding the ambiguous cases, it's [I]never[/I] Engine 3 or 10. It's always 6 or 7.

I'm a little disappointed it's going to be nerfed. Running around with a sword, the sociopath perk deck, and the frenzy+zerk combo is so much fun.
What would you guys hope from difficulty rebalance?
I hope that damage delay gets removed.
What I would like the new difficulties to be:
Normal: stays the same.
Hard: more or less like Very Hard used to be.
Very hard: remove it.
Overkill: stays the same.
Death Wish: ramped up difficulty.
Normal: Probably Hard right now
Hard: Overkill right now
Overkill: Death Wish without the headshot reduction and maybe slightly less damage. Increased amounts of max cops at once, more sprinting cops/flanking cops and maybe a few sprinting dozers. Cops are also more aggressive.
Death Wish: Current DW with fuckloads of more cops at once along with even faster sprinting and increased use of smokes (and maybe flashbangs if they rework them good) and faster aiming and frequent dodging maneuvers.
I basically want them to pull off a KF2-style of difficulty where shit in general just gets faster and enemies gain newer abilities as you go up the difficulty ladder. I'd also add in difficulty-specific map changes like Watchdogs DW, but that might take too much effort as opposed to just buffing the enemies in general.
Overkill should have skulldozers, they're always fun to take down.
I'd also love to somehow see these april fools stuff implemented beyond concept art to be honest

I'd like to see cop AI improved (will probably not happen), more 'death wish changes' (I always liked stuff like the two servers on Firestarter made it a bit more challenging and interesting), more super versions of the specials, like the Skulldozer or a major Captain Winters remake to make him an actual threat/interesting to play against. Really, I don't care much for the difficulty rebalance, since it's most likely just going to be flat number increases or decreases and nothing more.
I want more logical balancing with cops. A shield should not be able to accurately snipe you from across the map regardless of difficulty.
I think its a really big thing to do, honestly. Like every difficulty below Overkill is pretty much worthless and Overkill once you know what you're doing is just the norm. Deathwish is slightly difficult but it depends on the heist and what you're doing, its more involved but I wouldn't say its super super hard like it used to be. But at the same time, its not something I can see drastically changing, difficulty in Payday is always artificial like more enemy health, more enemy units, stronger units are more common, more bags required.
Part of me wonders if its just best to leave it as it is, beyond fixing issues like how flashbangs are dumb gimmicks, it seems like a difficulty overhaul would be a huge game change which while sounds appealing, you have to question the return on investment of it.
I have a massive (~90 pages) design doc for what I'd like to see in a higher difficulty, mostly focused on qualitative differences to heists and enemies. I'll post the general concept and an example heist this evening when I have access to it.
