Black Ops Election Day 1
The Setting:
The neighboring freighter will spawn, as on Death Wish. When players get around it, they will discover that there are no trucks! Bain will decide to pull the information on where the polling machines are from onsite computers. There are two computers, one in each building. There will be no civilians on the map. An equivalent number of Black Ops guards will spawn instead, walking different patrol points. The vantage point will spawn, containing a guard.
Stealth: In stealth, each hack will take about 120 seconds. Both hacks can be run simultaneously. Bain will mention that he is surprised by how smoothly things are going. Note, however, that things aren’t entirely safe-first, any guard that paths by will alert off of the hack while it is running. Second, during each hack, one black ops guard will receive an earpiece call (silent animation) and path to check on the computer running the hack. If the hack isn’t finished or paused, the guard will alert off of the computer.
Loud: Going loud triggers a substantial police response. Each hack will now take 400 seconds- if you finished a computer, it will be done, otherwise you will have to start over. Powerbox defense occurs as normal.
Special Spawns: A Turret van drives into the area where the trucks normally are and spawns a number of enemies. Winters is on the normal timer, and camps out at the corner behind the right building. Overwatch can occur.
Extra Loot: Loot will spawn in open containers randomly distributed across the map- these will include 6 Diamond map artifacts (medium bag weight) and 2 paintings.
Election Day 2 (warehouse)
The Setting:
This is the warehouse Bain traced the machines to, but something seems off- the gate is open, and a SWAT truck is parked in the middle of the yard. Getting inside will reveal other clues: all possible crate positions have spawned (no crowbar necessary) and there’s a Black Ops guard on the camera system. In truth, all of the crates will be empty- the warehouse is a trap set up by the g-man and the police. The actual polling machines are elsewhere.
Stealth: In stealth, the player will need to open all crates, as Bain gets increasingly freaked out. Bain will figure out that it’s a setup and have the player hack a computer to figure out what went on here and how the setup occurred. This computer will always spawn at the opposite end of the building from the camera controls. The hack takes 100 seconds, and will alert any guards that path by (unlike day 1, it cannot be paused). The real danger happens when the heist (almost inevitably) goes loud.
Loud: When things go loud, the trap swings shut. Overwatch occurs immediately, and spawns detailed under Special Spawns occur. The escape van is destroyed by unseen enemy fire, respawning any secured bags next to it and zeroing out your prior secured bag loot on this day. Additionally, pathing into the area with the van will reveal that the truck contains an explosive surprise akin to day 2 of Goat Heist. Your first task, opening all the crates, remains the same. Afterward, a pair of hacks- one to wipe security footage, and one to figure out how this happened/where the machines are, will be required. Each takes 400 seconds, and they can be run simultaneously. The twist is that each computer has two powerboxes powering it, one outside and one just inside the building on its side.
Special Spawns: The other two turret trucks drive in immediately, and the one in the middle of the yard goes active, simultaneously disgorging a large number of enemies. Overwatch can occur, with sniper positions varying across the front of the map, and also spawning on the skylights in the warehouse in 2 positions. Winters will camp out by the dumpsters near the stealth spawn when the first hack is finished. Finally, additional C4 traps will be set on doors leading outside. Each door will be trapped no more than once.
Extra Loot: Due to the lack of polling machines and the trap in the truck, no gold is in the truck at the stealth escape location. Instead, 12 bags of cash spawn in cages, another 4 spawn tucked into corners around the main warehouse, and 4 weapon cases spawn in static positions on the lower side rooms of the warehouse.
Election Day 3 (bank)
The Setting:
The gman was not expecting the payday gang to get out of the warehouse alive, so they will be caught flatfooted on day 3. While police presence will ramp up, it will not be as bad as day 2.
The Heist:
1. Hacking: There will be two servers. Vlad’s hacking device will stall 1-3 times, random, on each. This is mostly to let the police arrive/assault build.
2. C4: Gman will hack the elevators to stop Bain from sending bags containing the C4 and drill- it will keep stopping on every floor. Players will need to keep hitting the call button to get it going again. The first two elevators will be traps, containing a Cloaker and a Black Bulldozer, respectively.
3. Opening the bank: Blowing the C4 will reveal… rebar and steel girders. Bain’s understanding of the target building isn’t quite what it should have been. To actually get into the bank you will need to run a 240 second hack at the security room. This area is normally accessible from 2 possible routes in the area behind the elevators- both doors and routes spawn on DV, and cloaker vents are added to the hallway. Police can/will gas the room containing the server/cameras itself.
4. Drilling the vault: the vault door will spawn on the side facing the polling place. Police (with better explosives) will blow the wall you tried to open earlier shortly after the drill is started. Demo dozers can spawn to stop you, but it is otherwise unchanged.
5. Looting the vault: 12 bags of cash will spawn in the vault. The interior cage will be closed.
Special Spawns: A turret truck will spawn at the escape exit of the building. Winters will spawn at whichever location is not the escape point about 1 minute after the thermal drill arrives.
Extra Loot: The safety deposit boxes will contain an additional 3 bags of cash and 2 bags of gold. 2 additional ATMs will spawn out at each exit of the building, for the adventurous.
none of that sounds particularly fun especially since every twist is coupled with "but wait, there's more!"
also there's a reason every computer hack/mandatory drill in stealth is relatively short -- unpredictable enemy pathing + instant detection is not fun

I feel like you never played Framing Frame on loud. That computer hack sucks, it's not even fun. Having to restart a 400 sec hack from scratch is way too punishing for the players to be fun.
Most of your heists don't even sound fun, just adding tedious baby sitting shit is not how you make a fun heist.
after spending an hour on it I think it's fair to say Armored Transport : Train is the least fun heist in the game.
but what about car shop, beneath the mountain or goat sim? you might say
nope fuck you it's train heist
between having to keep an eye on 23 bags at all time, having RNG fuck you over so the drop off point is all the way down a valley that you are nowhere near, literally zero cover besides the train cars, and having to not only drill open each door, but also drill open each vault, Train Heist seems less like a heist and more like an overdrill challenge
I have no idea how I'm ever crossing that one off the DW list.
I was doing the Frenzerker and was surviving at the least, but cloakers were still an asspain, and my teammates were getting shredded
I don't really know how to describe Finale's "Black Ops" difficulty. I want to say its supposed to be what some people wanted deathwish to be like. The difficulty looks like it would be like the jump from normal to deathwish.
Its sadism at its finest.
but what about car shop, beneath the mountain or goat sim? you might say
Wait, people don't like Beneath the Mountain? I love this heist, it's so much better than Birth of Sky, imo.
About the others:
Car Shop is just bad, it's a demonstration of the "driving mechanic" but the heist is bad and boring.
I hate the Goat Simulator game but I like the heist, but I understand why people don't want to confront a bunch of snipers with 99% of accuracy and the only problem with AT: Train for me is the RNG drop off all the way down and lack of cover places to hide bags and move safe, you can't walk safe in the train or bridge, never.
I love beneath the mountain ovk but beneath the mountain DW is a nightmare
There's no way to pretend that's not cheating.
You could be RPing real life radios and shit where getting shot in the head doesn't let people on the other end know you're dead.
But for pure gameplay purposes I guess not.
[editline]a[/editline]
You know what's great? Getting a stealth build on for Framing Frame, taking out a guard outside the security door
and then you friend goes to grab a painting before you give the all-clear and gets his ass caught by guard #2 and fucks the entire heist and you have to terminate because you're not gonna be able to do that crossing-the-street shit with my stealth build.
imo,
there should be regular pager checkins for guards instead of going off the moment they die (allowing you to kill a guard right after he answers it for extra time which would be neat)
you should be able to answer them while carrying a body (with a perk) so you can pull bodies away from cameras
and there should be a perk allowing a player to hack the camera room computer to halt them for the rest of the mission

Having to run back and answer the pager on a dead guy at the other side of the building sounds incredibly frustrating and difficult.
That would make stealth incredibly easy though. With cameras and pagers disabled you can do whatever you want since nobody is going to catch you.

The mod's existence is purely ego wankery. I've yet to see somebody who isn't a total asshole use it.
That guy's attitude about new players is so shitty. I like playing with newer players personally, because most of them appreciate any tips and just want to have a good time. And 13 hours is more than enough for DW imo.
Example:
[t]http://i.cubeupload.com/N6T75J.png[/t]
I have 556 hours and a legit DW mask, I know what I'm doing.
this is exactly why I host my own lobbies and will continue to do so for as long as I play this game
so I don't have to deal with people running mods like NGBTO and whatever dumb restrictions they may put on players that try to join their lobby

lol what the fuck? Is this guy for real? Not only is he acting like a complete fucking jackass but DW isn't even all that hard to warrant this kind of crap imo. I understand not wanting level 20s or something but being this big of a douche is crazy.

What a cunt
Wait, what's with all NGBTO hate? It's what made DW public lobbies playable for me. Besides, I didn't see anybody setting filters for anything but less than 200 hours and an incomplete deck, which is fair enough for DW lobbies.
I'm finally in the XXV-100 club!
also holy shit does the China Lake turn Winters and his Merry Men into swiss cheese
I played Train heist today with 2 guys who were sub 3 infamy (one was like 1-70) and they both kicked ass
Yeah I still think guys who are level 30 shouldnt play Dw but we underestimate too much
NGBTO allows for some really bad ego stroking which pd2 has enough already. Someone else got kicked for havinf 200 hours too and apparently to the fuckface running theobby that wasnt e ough. It generally creates a really vile, toxic and caustic [sp]soda[/sp] environment.
[editline]6th July 2016[/editline]
I gotta admit I too kicked someone once for really fucking up... But we told numerous times already what was going to happen and when he can put the ingredient in. It was Proverkill HM, he picked up the Cs while another guy picked up Mu and Hcl. Despite being told numerous times to wait he still threw in the Cs in the wrong vat as soon as he could. He then said 'i dident know :D'
I mean there's accidentally making a mistake... And then there's doing this.
[editline]6th July 2016[/editline]
I mean just like any other game Pd2 has its fair share of genuine idiots but combating it with elitism just makes YOU the fucking retard
funny how most of the people who use ngbto are ~~clan~~ retards
it would be great to see that mod removed from mod sites just to see how assblasted the users would be

Sorry if it's too late, but stealthing Train Heist is a reasonable solution for DW. You just need to secure the lumberyard.

They'd whine about it for a week then just dive straight back into the game.
If they're this serious about the game maybe they should organize games instead of ruining the already fragile public scene.
Would it be possible to make the no pagers mod only work if it's a melee in the back and 1 hit kill? That'd balance it a little
it still let you kill more guard than you're supposed to.
it basically make a bunch of stealth heist super easy.
the only solution is dont have the pager answer if you dominate a guard, because then there's a risk/reward to it as opposed to just killing them and bodybagging them
Or if you want to do it the hard way, have modifiers to the chance of triggering the pager.
- Shooting an alerted guard: 100%
- Shooting an unalerted guard: 75%
- Meleeing an alerted guard: 75%
- Meleeing an unalerted guard: 50%
- Dominating a guard: 25%
Those numbers don't seem to be very generous in order to stay close to the original game balance, since that apparently bothers some of you.
Also reminder that IIRC you can't dominate more than 2 or 3 guards in stealth.
Yeah but that's more RNG
Yeah but that's more RNG
Fuck me, I forgot how people don't like RNG.
RNG is not necessarily bad. The whole game is about RNG, it's just a question of balancing.
RNG works in some places and doesn't in others
Pagers being tied to RNG would mean you couldn't reliably employ a certain strategy so it doesn't. You'd be able to kill 7 or 4 and it would be a gamble each time, meaning resets would be even more plentiful
