This safehouse customization hype is bullshit. It was an offhand comment among others made by Goldfarb several years ago that didn't make it into the game, and people are treating it like it was the game's single selling point, flinging shit and screaming whenever someone brings it up and they're reminded that it's not out yet. I mean yeah sure a dev said it was gonna be there and that sucks, but shit. Calm down. The game's still there, and it's clear that they're working on it as we speak.

It was something that was [I]supposed[/I] to make it into the final release build, and didn't, with no explanation other than "we're working on it." That was almost 3 years ago now. I'd say it's understandable that people are pissed off about it, especially since OVK keep saying that they plan on bringing it to us "soon."

Cloakers have actually been in the game since before the beta. They just caused your game to crash when they kicked you and it took Overkill over 2 years to fix that crash.

If Overkill was actually putting time into safehouses, I'm sure they would've at least shown off some concept, or early development work.

I have no idea why people are so obsessed with safehouse customization What are you going to do jump up and down a whole bunch in your safe house by yourself? The only feature that would make me interested in a safe house is if you could use a firing range with all the weapons from your inventory of a place to test skills and stuff

The 'new' Cloaker was a an impressive piece of work even if most of the tricks are predictable after a certain amount of time playing have passed. I just don't understand why they went backwards, and refused to make something as interesting, and entertaining as the Cloaker's Payday 2 iteration with their two newer enemies. Laziness seems like the only reason as to why we just got a shield variant, and rather bland turret sponge instead.

Safehouse customization is one of those things that should be in the game from the start, but if it's not, I don't want them wasting time on such a useless feature that the majority of people don't even care about. Just apologize that you lied, move on, and improve the game by fixing annoying bugs and working on quality DLC, both free and paid. Simple.

I mean Winters especially, they hyped up the Gensec enemy as something so scary it'd make you shit bricks and talked all this stuff about it like it'd need a ridiculous number of new voicelines and stuff...then a few months later they realised "Oh shit, we can't actually program this awesome idea we had and the fans are getting annoyed and want the Gensec enemy now", so then they threw together a Shield 2.0 that has more health and causes an endless assault when he spawns.

I know as a business they're obligated to try and make money off their product, but damn, there is such a thing as too much hype. And hype is mostly annoying when it's the developers of the very same product trying to propagate it.
Literally the only reason people are making a big fuss over Safehouse Customization is because they said they would do it Watch people barely do anything with it once it comes out
The thing is with safe house customization, if it's an area that replaces a lobby or something that'd be alright. but we're going to need a reason to go there, otherwise it will be like the current safe house, next to nobody goes there other than to test out a weapon or to have a glance at how much money they physically have in their vault. The safe house customization needs to have an in game effect or it's going to be useless and it's going to be disappointing as shit, that is the only reason I can justify it taking so long.
