Surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but here's a press release for the Hardcore Heist Pack:
You're right, it would be surprising... unfortunately if you look 10 posts up the page...
It's a shame there no proper character modding tools for Payday 2, I'd kill for a mod that made jacket wear a re-textured version of jimmy's suit that looks like a bloodstained mobster suit. [t]http://puu.sh/nYacM.jpg[/t] like this but with bloodstains.
You're right, it would be surprising... unfortunately if you look 10 posts up the page...
right, my mistake.
http://www.overkillsoftware.com/games/hardcorehenry-heists/ stealth only heist, neat
http://www.overkillsoftware.com/games/hardcorehenry-heists/ stealth only heist, neat
The files indicate that this heist will have a unique soundtrack like Shadow Raid, so that's pretty neat.
Now you can play as Wick, Jimmy, Bodhi, and Jacket, wear a Hotline Miami mask, a Speedrunners mask, the StarVR mask, and the Alienware mask, then play the Alesso heist while listening to PAYDAY by Alesso feel the advertising flow through your veins
So uh, 14 lobby stealth?
So we're supposed to steal the EMP? What happened in the trailer then? Murky teleported it to their station?
So we're supposed to steal the EMP? What happened in the trailer then? Murky teleported it to their station?
In Hoxton Breakout we save him in the trailer and save him again in game. This is most likely a Bomb style thing where only one actually happens.
Or maybe overkill don't give a fuck about what is or isn't canon. Both bombs heist are mentionned in the FBI files after all.
So we're supposed to steal the EMP? What happened in the trailer then? Murky teleported it to their station?
At a guess: The gang steals the EMP from the station, and are ambushed per the trailer before the loud second heist.
So uh, 14 lobby stealth?
Inifinite ECM loop, oh !

Someone already made a mod to have other heisters wear Jimmy's suit (though it's in pdmod even if it doesn't need to be.)
Is concealment Sniping even viable? I'd love to do it on a heavier dodge/crit build, but I can't feasibly get it under 20 concealment
Is concealment Sniping even viable? Drops you to 14 detection. I have no clue why a bulky semi auto rifle is more concealable than a chopped mosin. Really, your target for overall detection should be 25 max if you aced both skills, which is not hard to do.
So, who is gonna do a 14 player stealth of the new heist??? Probably these guys. We practiced on Shadow Raid [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/295357583645532566/F7D150CD3058ADB53E2DFCEDEB9909057D08F7FB/[/t]
Screw stealth, let's do loud DW quests :v:
The files indicate that this heist will have a unique soundtrack like Shadow Raid, so that's pretty neat.
any idea if it will be restricted to the heist or if it will have a heist track variant (like "and now we wait" and "and now we run")

Can't pass any judgement on the heist itself yet, but isn't stealth a little odd considering that Hardcore Henry is OTT action?
if drones are purely just a moving camera, i'll be not so happy and I do mean purely. if there's no like, moving "detection box" or something and instead it's just assumptions on whether this moving drone camera will see you or not, i'll be pissed
Desync'd drones will be hell to hide from lol
Can't pass any judgement on the heist itself yet, but isn't stealth a little odd considering that Hardcore Henry is OTT action?
overkill had to please the "STELF??" people somehow in all seriousness though if the heist is as well designed as fwb's stealth/shadow raid it's a keeper in my book. otherwise it can go sit in the pile with car shop/big oil and fade into obscurity for all i care
I never understood why people dislike Big Oil. For me it's one of the most diverse, interesting and well-thought-out heists of all time, along with Framing Frame.
it'd be fine if they didn't do it all the time remember when they said they weren't going to do microtransactions? remember when they said we were going to get safehouse customization? remember when they said we were getting twice as many heists at launch than we actually got? remember when fucking cloakers weren't in the game for like 2 years after the game came out despite being in the fucking loading screens
I don't think they really care mainly because they know people are going to buy their shit anyway because this is the only fucking co-op heisting game on the market. It fills a niche, so even if it's an incredibly unfinished game (honestly, I bought this game like last year and the fact that I see "guys look they updated the NPC ak so that it doesn't look like shit" this long after the game's come out is pitiful) it's still good fun most of the time and it does its job as a fun 4-player coop heisting game very well. However, if a dev were to come out with a heisting game on an engine similar to Source in terms of modding capability, I imagine this game would fall so quick Starbreeze'd go out of business if they didn't cancel half their projects. Think about it, if a developer made a game like this and stuck to Valve's microtransactions-for-mainly-cosmetics-but-loads-of-user-created-content-like-maps style and released it for $15 that game would fucking flourish. Maybe one day someone'll figure this shit out and release such a game one day but until then PD2 is all we've really got, and that's a good motivation for OVK to not have to do all that much all that fast. Crashes and shit are something they've got to fix asap when they start happening, but as far as content goes? They don't really need to worry.

Sure, community maps would be something but chances are 95% of them would be shit. It could come out with better graphics, netcode or strategy mechanics but it couldn't even come close to the amount of content this game currently has. Like what ? 50 maps we have atm. That's an insane amount of missions. And we do have quite a lot of weapons and skills as well. Just like new MMOs never come close to the amount of content WoW has, most of them fall flat even though they might have better mechanics.
