My BLT flat-out refuses to work. Any idea why? It's not any specific mod, it's nothing to do with mod_overrides, and I've done three clean reinstalls of BLT. Shit was working fine last night. This is the log. Try and make sense of it.
Looks like an underlying hook problem. It may need an update.
Anyone seen hardcore henry yet I hope it's better than the last tie in movie
It's not on for another hour [editline]7th April 2016[/editline] at least if you're going to see the weird ultimate fan experience one, Im going to a normal one so I gotta wait til 9:55 est
Looks like an underlying hook problem. It may need an update.
I probably sound like a complete idiot, but could you elaborate?
I think he meant "Update BLT's Main Hook" as in, Update BLT
I think he meant "Update BLT's Main Hook" as in, Update BLT
The latest version is r11_r5-1, right? Because I just downloaded it, and it still ain't working.
The latest version is r11_r5-1, right? Because I just downloaded it, and it still ain't working.
Not sure then, I don't know what the latest version is. It might not be updated for the latest version of PD2
congrats to him
When will baby crying be added to the soundtrack
I don't understand why Overkill decided to put a limit on the gore effects on the Katana and Platypus. Is there any real reason, or is it actually just laziness? I'm also shocked the Platypus can blow a hole in the face of a taser, but something like the Thanatos doesn't. I guess I really am back into Payday now that I'm being vocal about my gripes again like I was about half a year ago, but at least I'm having fun on the side. So, I've had this idea lingering in the back of my head for a while ago, but people like the traitor, the commissar, and Jimmy with his perk deck make me want it even more. I think there should be a new item in the throwable slot, something that isn't a weapon, but rather a buff. Think an epinephrine auto-injector that slows down time akin to what happens when you get downed or unmask in front of hostiles, or drugs that make you more resistant to damage, both lasting a short amount of time before expiring. I just think it would be cool to have access to temporary buffs instead of just throwing grenade or molotov.

I thought it was pretty obvious why they did restrict the gore, because those are supposed to be abilities unique to Bodhi and Jiro. It might seem silly, but it's understandable really. Overkill want to make characters special, so they give them perk decks and bundle them with weapons and melees. These are available to everyone regardless of character choice though, obviously, as it would be a disaster otherwise. They do the same with Bodhi and Jiro, but to make them even more unique, Overkill add a special effect that triggers when particular conditions are met. It's limited to one enemy type with one weapon and is purely visual; and in that way, it's not an overwhelming difference in regular gameplay. In fact, it's such a minor effect that in the heat of combat, the only one who notices it will likely be the one who made it happen. People got mad that they couldn't chop heads without playing as indecipherable Japan Man, but that made sense because it's a samurai sword, being able to use one effectively needs practice. You have to stretch the logic a little with Bodhi's rifle, but the concept is there. It doesn't make sense because several rifles are more powerful and I can't imagine how only Bodhi could make that happen, but it fits the game's logic. [editline] [/editline] also that last idea isn't even a throwable - new features are one thing but "instead of grenades, why can't we activate bullet time instead?" is a little far-fetched

Understandable, eh, not really. I find it harder to appreciate the ability when it's artificially restricted for seemingly poor reasons. Even if it's minor, it's still an interesting effect I find disappointingly limited to a specific scenario. But whatever, all I can settle for right now is MORE having its own unique effects since Overkill decides to be stingy with theirs. I know it's not a throwable, but I don't see it as a reason it can't exist. The slot can simply be renamed to accommodate new entries that aren't explicitly something you throw, a tertiary weapon/item slot if you will. Similar to the way grenades that used to be found in grenade boxes were replaced with small boxes containing whatever throwable you use after new ones were introduced.
I get why they do it but I don't really have to agree with it. Players love feedback and players tend to love gore. You can argue about Samurai Man (even though it makes no sense because you still cut someone up with a blade), but you can't argue about Bodhi man. A sniper rifle, or any gun to your brain, will fuck your shit up. Its a cute little gimmick and its not going to hurt anything and so I really don't care. But I don't see the point of restricting it either or better yet, not adding onto to it to make PD2 a game with better feedback
Well any ranged weapon effect wouldn't make sense being character locked really (except maybe the bows, you could have like a boxing glove arrow for stealth kills or something), but I'm glad that it wasn't another melee effect because that would get old fast. It doesn't make sense but at least it's different. Honestly I think all of these problems stop being problems when every character can do something special. Who knows if Overkill will ever do that though.
Can Bodhi blow the face off of the Russian merc Tasers or is that exclusive to the American ones? Ditto for Jiro, his katana and Cloakers.
Can Bodhi blow the face off of the Russian merc Tasers or is that exclusive to the American ones? What's the sequence.manager do?
Hardcore Henry at credits for me. Song at end credits is saying I am Overkill Other than that nothing payday yet [editline]7th April 2016[/editline] Actually that mighta been "for the kill"
I really wish battle rifles can penetrate shields.
I really wish battle rifles can penetrate shields.
Just use Blazes weapon overhaul, makes the game so much better
Just use Blazes weapon overhaul, makes the game so much better
DMC's Weapon Overhaul master race.
Oh, they made it to look like an actual whiteboard, nice.
I think the old one was actually the place holder they used during development of the map .-.
Just use Blazes weapon overhaul, makes the game so much better
I'm actually using that right now, liked the convenience of handcannons penetrating shields, and shotguns back to being powerful again
Jimmy's hair is amazing. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/509279488221843131/1E39CF6F4FA56CE4D3828E06205EC1150C2F73B3/[/t]

God damn Jimmy's gloves are screwy. It would've been a lot less work for OVK to give him retextured Bodhi gloves.
Shockproof??? For GHOST? What for?
Shockproof??? For GHOST? What for?
Don't forget, only works 30% of the time ;)
Looks like Fug really is just gonna get Zerker skills now.
So finally I decided to try DW, solo with Better Bots (Set them to perfect accuracy, fast speed and 'Grinder' health (low health but ultra fast regen)). What are good weapons/builds for such situation? Right now I'm using this with a suit.
[t]http://media.overkillsoftware.com/2016/04/skill_progess_system-05.jpg[/t]
This is a nice new skill tree. Makes me wonder if Fugitive is gonna get the boot, a lot of Fugitive skills are jammed into there. I'm also loving that a lot of the skills are more combat-effective.
Fug might be getting pistol skills, melee skills and Zerker (+Swan Song)
