Ghost being actually combat viable is awesome
I super dig these skill tree reforms they all seem fun
I'm excited because it seems every single person just plays FugMind or TechForce with no variance so some tossuo is fun

I'm just worried, because as somebody who doesn't play with a build fitting with what I usually see among other players, I have a feeling the skill revision might end up actually cutting my effectiveness down when it comes out. Perk Decks replacing tier bonuses felt the same way for a while up until they started releasing more interesting ones.

The new ghost tree looks pretty great, aside from needing to have stealth only skills to get lockpicking expert and the fact that silent killer doesn't penetrate armor anymore. I used to be able to spend an easy 12 points on lockpicking expert for my ghostforcer build after getting silent killer aced which is now 18 points because I need to pick up cam loop or additional body bags to acquire it now, and silent killer's armor penetration was useful for suppressed shotguns.
Oh well, after a thousand hours of running the same build I can try something new.

I'm hoping it turns out to have a whole heaping of brand new skills that make being a pure pistoleer both awesome and useful. And since they've given Mastermind FAKs, I'm guessing it's gonna have some kind of prison jury-rigged new deployable. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing what they come up with, since everything else so far has been great.

The new deployable will be the First ammo bag, aka FAB cause it's fabulously made out of prison materious

Is there any sort of mod or method that allows you to kill Winters? I actually remember at one point killing him back when he was new, but that was a while ago.
I can't stand his immunity to damage when he retreats, and I realize that killing him would be trivial, since he just runs away and despawns at a set amount of health, which essentially serve the same purpose. I just want some sort of gratification from fighting such a poorly thought-out enemy, a payoff to getting rid of that stupid phalanx of shields.

Good to see that they are reforming the skills trees specially Ghost. Is definitely something that will bring me back to this game. Something fresh and new to experiment on.
All they need to do now is make shotguns not shit. Still baffles me that I need to download mods just because they pretty much fucked a already decent system for guns stats.

Are shotguns really bad now though ? I've been using them a lot and always get the most kills out of the crew. Like... always... regardless of which shotgun I pick.

It's not that they're really bad, it's just that other weapon classes simply outclass them.
Give me shotgun slugs and flechette ammo without the shitty drop off damage. I'll take the ammo reduction any day as long as I can do damage beyond sneezing distance.

flechettes are all about increased range though. Slugs have an increased maximum range to my knowledge but not minimum or something contrived, so they kind of have range increase but kinda don't. Imo their biggest flaw is lacking an accuracy bonus

The only way to kill Winters is to get him killed by Elijah the sniper you hired. Elijah bypasses enemy health and just sets it to zero, iirc.
Why do some guns have these awful closed sights? I get that they're authentic, but some of them could be adjusted to have a bigger FOV.
Seriously though I have a distinct hatred of closed iron sights, they're so bad

It's more of how games render models. They have yet developed a render system that simulates the human eye. Most iron sights on guns are alright, but it's because how your eye can focus on things and make other things out of focus.
What you're asking for is the sights that were used in COD4. Some of them weren't even aligned right just to get a good view of your surroundings.
