Since the battle rifles have been buffed, those are some of the assault rifles in the game. Having 80 damage base, a good ammo pool, and very accurate, it's hard to not use one. My favorite setup right now is a Falcon with the bigger the better suppressor and a barrel to offset the damage loss. OSHS tans on OVK without fear of being spotted immediately.

Pretty much all of them are good now. Post rebalance, the only real differences between guns in the same 'class' are ROF, reload time and sometimes magazine capacity.
Pick what you like the look of, mod it to max out stability first and get accuracy as high as you can second (unless you plan on using it exclusively in single-shot), go shoot cops and have fun.

I wish the Fednet icons were the default so I didn't have to update my mods with every new weapon and mask added.
They look 100% better.
Reinstalling the game as i'm (partially) convinced that Overkill are getting their act together.
Meta-wise, is there anything I should know? What standard should I be modifying my weapons to, what numbers do I need to hit for each stat? What weapons are now good and what weapons are now bad? Which ones aren't great but still workable?
I think every single weapon is viable, as long as you use it correctly

You know, Golden Grin was fun when I played it a few times around, but if there is one thing that's keeping me from playing it again, it's performance. My framerate is just horrible, and borderline unplayable at times. I'm normally used to playing at around 75-100 FPS in most heists.
So, when I saw this in the 97.4 update notes under Golden Grin:

I got excited thinking I'd be able to play without having to worry about my frame rate hindering my ability to play. Unfortunately, it seems despite Overkill's attempt to optimize the level, my performance seems to have gotten [B]worse[/B]. When I was playing a few moments ago, my FPS stayed 40-55 range almost all the time, especially while on the main floor of the casino. It only seemed to get as high as 80-90, and that was only when I was looking at the damn ground. Is the game properly culling stuff out of the player's view? Even when I'm in a completely different room, if I so much as look at the general direction of the main floor, my FPS dips as though it's rendering everything there.
Performance seems to be a problem in the larger heists I've noticed. Stuff like Meltdown can kill my frames in certain locations, but in other heists my performance seems fine. But curiously enough, not all large heists kill my frames, since I've got playable amounts in crap like Forest, and Beneath the Mountain. Even Goat Simulator plays nicer than Golden Grin up until I get to the bridge.
Sometimes I wonder if my HUD mod is causing performance issues, but I don't know.
What HUD mod are you using?
And, do you have GPU Flush enabled?

I doubt PocoHud is at all tied to your problem, but try disabling it anyway.
Akimbo SMG's are fun if you pair them with faster SMg reload and the ability to both shoot and reload while sprinting

my personal favorite is the AMR16
I don't get why more people don't use it, ammo pool is low but the way it shoots with such good recoil makes it god tier

AMR-16 + DMR Kit + Bigger The Better Supressor + Silent Killer/The Professional Aced = godlike gun on DW.
Use single fire for one-shot kills, switch to auto for disintegrating Dozers.

Or you can go with basic loud DMR-kit setup, it still is insanely good.

Compact 5(MP5), micro uzi, Skorpion, MAC10(Mark10), Swedish K. Take your pick.
Just remeber that you will no stability and accuracy with a 30 concealment SMG.

Now more than ever because of the current popularity of accurate, hard-hitting pistols, I really crave a semi-automatic carbine for the secondary slot. Not an SMG modified for single fire, something semi-automatic by default.
I hope we get something since Overkill totally missed their opportunity with the Cavity back in Golden Grin. Still hoping to see something like the M1 carbine, or the Mini-14, or whatever else falls into that semi-automatic carbine category. Using SMGs and pistols as substitutes just doesn't do it for me.

Speaking of the Cavity, did Overkill make it affected by pistol skills or something? Because looking at the base stats, it kinda sucks now. Has 99 ammo like the battle rifles, but it's locked to semi and only does ~65 damage instead of 80 so it's like what's the point?
Did anyone else notice that when they fixed the Lion's roar's arm they actually changed the animation set
