Before the release of PDTH, Overkill actually had a problem with publisher about black character called Chains, and even considered renaiming him to Chance or Chaynes (All the voicelines were done at that point)
Yeah IIRC he's called Chains because of his hard ex-military life, not because he's black and black people used to be slaves.
Fucking damn. I got bored and decided to do Sound of Silence for the Alesso heist on Deathwish. Lot of close calls, and right as I'm in the area where the bag chute shits out your money, I see a guard wandering around the area, and I'm wondering if he's going to wander in at some point. So, I wait a good two minutes just trying to see if his pattern will cause him to wander where he'll see my bags, and he doesn't. I figure it's safe, so I start throwing them in the vent, and right around my eighth bag in, the prick THEN decides it's a good idea to walk in and see what I'm doing, and I'm fuming, because I can't kill him, and I already had to dominate a guard earlier. So, I just very quickly drop an ECM, get the remaining 4 for the minimum, and get the hell out of there using the container exit on the upper floors. I had to dodge like 3 tasers, and several HRT that pretty much immediately spawned with no gradual build-up like you'd expect. I was really worried that a Taser was going to stun me right as I was making the jump in the container, but I made it. I'm glad I succeeded, but I'm really annoyed at the dick who designed the patrol routes for that guard that set off the alarm. You'd think they'd be nice enough to make it so they wouldn't patrol in that back room where the chute is, just like how they're nice enough to not make guards patrol in the basement when you use the circle cutter. Just another reminder of why I don't play larger heists in stealth very often.
Once you get all the bags and you get the option to take off your masks, you can literally throw a fucking grenade in the arena and alert everyone, and by the time you unmask yourself everything will be like it didn't happen.
Guards select randomly from the list of possible destinations. The safe thing is to not use the chutes at all.
I figured it would be the most safe thing, but I was already nearly an hour in, and doing it alone hauling each one individually probably would have added another 10 or 15 minutes. I just wanted to be done, since the worst part about large heists done solo is that the bag hauling is complete fucking torture. The only precaution I'd take if I had a chance to do it again is to be more careful with my single intimidate, so I can non-lethally disable the guard who wanders in the back of the Red Squares location in case I get that spot again.
Overkill is late as usual, no beta skill trees in sight
Overkill is late as usual, no beta skill trees in sight
But it's not even past the 28th yet, we had content updates much later than this.
But it's not even past the 28th yet, we had content updates much later than this.
Well since they have 5 weeks preparing for this (maybe more), being late is kind of unusual

Camera speed? Incoming in-game cutscenes?
Camera speed? Incoming in-game cutscenes?
Camera speed is what controls how fast your freeflight camera moves. Allows for better precision when navigating the level in editor mode.

Thats pretty neat
Okay, I'll definitely have to wait a while so that people can make builds again, because getting back a dodge build that's good with the new trees will be super confusing
Why not just hop in and theorycraft? That's usually pretty fun.
Oh my god the LBV can have the same concealment as the Suit with the new skills.
New highlighted monitor on second level of Hoxout (this run was pro), anybody got any ideas? [thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/449608559593942470/6350473133428C241B532A05B43D0339EDF0141E/[/thumb] no obvious way to get to it
I have literally been dominating cops the entire heist, it's fucking ridiculous, even freshly spawned cops I fucking domiante instantly, 5 or probably even more dominated cops, I dont know if it lists more than 5, I saw it update when we had 5 and it didnt go up Domination new meta pls

I think it works as a medium to hack the computers and progress the heist. Today's update just accidentally highlighted this one, it's related with the First World Bank computer.
As usual, tiny patches taking 40 minutes each. Greaaat

I'm feeling mixed on the pistol ROF nerfs. I'm fine with the deagle/baby deagle ones, and I like that the revolvers were buffed, but I'm mixed on the other pistols. I think most of them will be fine, but some like the Bernetti and Interceptor, I don't know how they'll be with such low ROFs now.
Oh... apparently they nerfed dodge again
Oh... apparently they nerfed dodge again
But they buffed armor :godzing:
I wonder if gambler is actually good now that grinder got nerfed
Grinder got heavily nerfed, both directly (less regen time) and indirectly (suit nerf), and it's VERY noticeable. Say goodbye to the reckless days. Muscle is still alright I guess. I don't think the game will get easier with this skill tree rework. There's just way more choices of playstyles now. Only time can tell. On a side note, just ran a Inspire + ICTV + Brawler + Yakuza build, always under the effect of Berserker dealing a fuckton of damage with everything, coupled with very quick reloads after every melee kill. It's pretty fun, but very vulnerable. Also, I absolutely love Bulletproof Aced, it feels good to knock shields around with normal guns. It needs better damage scaling for stun chance though, assault rifles knock down shields so easily with just a few shots.
So.. is it just me or trying to buy a 3 points skill with 3 points remaining not working ?
I'm kinda mixed. Some of the stuff I can do now is nice, but on the other hand, sometimes it feels like a gimmick that makes me prefer the older system. I enjoy being able to reload super fast using two different skills that can stack your reload speed to absurd levels if under the effect of two different skill buffs, but sometimes I think I'd just prefer a flat passive rate instead of having to activate a buff to get it working. Despite the efforts of Overkill, it still feels as though there are some clear-cut amazing skills that can probably be considered mandatory, and then there is still stuff I feel like I have to invest in that I don't need to get what I actually want. As for other things, I can't say I'm a fan of how walking speed has tanked because there don't appear to be any more movement skills except when you're sprinting, but I'll probably get used to it. Something feels different about police, it feels like the damage cooldown before you can take another hit with the same damage has changed, but maybe I feel that way because I'm a lot slower and more things can hit me now. Oh, and Aggressive Reload doesn't appear to work for the Repeater 1874, unless it's intended to not work with it for some reason. It worked with the Lebensauger, but not the Repeater.
