PAYDAY 2 V9 - 900% More Chromatic Aberration and Lens dirt Edition

I don't even know what the fuck am I running. I slapped skillpoints around and somehow got an acceptably functional build.
You think that's weird, I'm running concealed vest with like, 5% dodge accidentally, but apparently I'm a fucking tank. No idea what weapons I should focus on...
Also what the fuck happened to crit damage? It used to be that even body shots could set crits off, but apparently not anymore? Body armour still eats my shots entirely
Damn, Overkill's stream was chill af. The devs answered a lot of questions and were really nice.
Gambler is actually useful now that grinder and muscle's hp regen has been nerfed. Getting 16 points of hp every 4 sec for the whole team is nice, along with another player using Maniac to make up for your squishiness.
Ex-Prez is new grinder for soloing. I have found it works best with the heaviest of armors since you can actually build up a decent charge before your armor breaks. With the lighter armors, it's not as good since you now lack dodge and the amount of armor is too low prevent it from breaking every two seconds.

Any questions/answers you felt stuck out as interesting?

Is it archived anywhere? I'd like to watch it when I have some time.
I did a brawler tree melee build thanks to Maria mentioning it and it's OP as fuck, screw sentries, Cook off Melee build + sociopath, 4 man team with katanas
Just checked out the Artwork section. Holy fuck never again. If Valve had any brains, not that they do, they should have removed the artwork section a week after they implemented it

You might find it archived on their Twitch page. It's Starbreeze. As for stuff that stood out: well I asked Jules about the posibility of a melee rework. He said they will be doing something since melee has become a big part of the fugi tree and such, however this change won't be a complete overhaul or anything. Not much besides that. They talked about the possibility of more flame weapons and about implementing more akimbo smgs which is pretty cool.

on the last one

good joke
Okay, so let me explain what can I do with my current "Assault Rifles fuck everything" build. I can knock Cloakers and Dozers on their asses, I can shoot and melee shields to make em do ballerina moves, I can pierce body armor which makes tans my personal bitches, AND I deal lots of extra damage through bodyshots with Body Expertise aced. Oh and some armor skills and Muscle on top of that and yeah...
I can pretty much kill anything. Like literally I can stunlock Dozers. Shoot him a few times, he falls on his face, shoot him again, he falls on his ass. So goddamn hilarious. I can even knock Winters and his gang around. I make a joke out of most enemies, except TWAT vans.
Also, after Dozers get up, they no longer "walk" but instead, they do this weird "squatwalk" crouching thing. I don't even know.
If DW was "easy" for some before, it's a goddamn walk-in-the-park now. Just stun everything.
I wish the pistol crossbow's regular bolts were a bit stronger. 100 damage seems underpowered for a gravity-affected projectile that will likely miss after ten meters. And I don't want to use the poisoned or explosive darts to get better results, I want to keep using plain ones, but if they can't even one-shot a taser, I don't see the appeal.

I mean that's pretty much how it goes anyway
Me and my crew were always crashing whenever we toggled the fire mode on sentries. We also couldn't place more than one or two sentries for some reason. I figured it was just the game but I see people are using them fine so now I have to play the fun game of "which mod is making me crash?" when both the Payday 2 crash log and the BLT crash log aren't descriptive at all of which mod could be causing it.
We also couldn't place more than one or two sentries for some reason.
This is probably because Sentries use up 52% of your total ammo rather than the ammo you have left, the perk description was kinda misleading.

Ah, that makes sense. There should hopefully be some kind of message displayed if you try to place a sentry but don't have ammo when the beta goes live, similar to "you cannot interact while in casing mode" warning or the warning that you can't get in a car with a bag on you. Allowing me to place a sentry, but having it disappear as soon as it's placed makes me think something's wrong on my end.
[editline]30th April 2016[/editline]
For anyone interested, the mod that was causing the crash was Inspire Priority. I got rid of it and now no crash. However, when you switch a sentry to AP rounds, are you supposed to get some video or audio confirmation? I don't get any notice if it's even switching fire mode.
Do you still need to refill sentry guns?
Was playing with a friend of mine who built for Sentries, and they seemed to shoot forever.

Yeah, you can refill them by picking them up and putting them back down, which will replenish their ammo (granted you have the ammo to place the sentry again).
Does anyone have blender .obj files of the masks? Eg Dallas, Houston, Hoxton, Chains, Wolf, Clover?
Was needing them for reference images. Viewing the masks ingame isn't as reliable.
Don't bust your ass getting them if it's too much trouble. I could always use ingame.
In the beta I can keep upgrading a drill and servers on hoxout day 2 were goats when thrown
Seriously though I can't do body-crit damage anymore, this kinda makes crit builds like 75% less useful if it's headshot only

I can get em for you, not much of a problem. Outta curiosity tho what are you planning on using them as reference sfor?

The model tool can convert the game's models to .obj, there's probably some tutorial somewhere. it's not very hard.

Haven't noticed such an issue
I think dominator is busted as well, I can literally make any cop give up regardless is they are injured
Hell my crits have been melee and explosions too. Can you even register headshot with melee/splash?
Also I've tried a couple builds.
Grinder/dodge silenced sniper - tried this first, it was really good as a DPS role. I had like 50 special kills and 150+ regular kills day 1 hotline. WA2000 and some smg, think it was the HM DLC Uzi.
Yakuza Shotgun/melee frenzy zerker, iron man armor. Simply amazing, AA12 was as BS as in KF with this one, and the melee was oneshotting pretty consistently.
Burglar stealth/silencer dodge combat - they surprisingly made it so the stealth skills can be obtained without ruining your combat efficiency. Burglar not being loud supportive means I still wouldn't advise using these builds when you know it's gonna be loud, but for grey areas like Firestarter and such the plan b is still extremely viable.
Crook shotgun/melee frenzy zerker - found this one relatively impressive. Used Raven and pistol crossbow aswell as the skill making the LBV same conceal as suit, katana as melee. Managed to hit 3 detection with that. The armor and dodge were good (getting hit didn't seem to hurt too bad, dodge at 25% base static was pretty good, and crits add a bigger utility)
I think the best part is these builds seem to be ones I'd never be able to use pre beta. It's almost as if most of the builds are viable and thus skills are actually spec and choice and not mundane "classes" in the sense that previously your options would get limited by the requirement of one skill.
Feel like I've been seeing people say "all builds are viable now, even randomized ones" like that's a bad thing. The entire point of a limited skill tree is so people can fulfill different team roles in their personally appealing way. The less "one build is definitely more effective than another" the better. They call it balance, the concept that each option is somewhat equal in effectiveness, for different reasons.
I think dominator is busted as well, I can literally make any cop give up regardless is they are injured
It's because Overkill decided it'd be a great idea to give every single enemy the "easy" domination preset. Which means exactly what it means, they'll surrender if you even LOOK in their general direction.
Though that's the least of my concerns with how stupid this beta is. My favorite is the FAK auto revive thing, seriously who thought this was a good idea especially when it has no cooldown.
The new melee skills make Sociopath so much fun to use now. No idea if it makes it Deathwish Viable however.
I'm curious. I'm using a Heavy Ballistic Vest, and I noticed that Duck and Cover aced gives a 25% increased chance to dodge while sprinting, and 15% when crouching. My armor has a base dodge chance of -35, making the total dodge chance 0. I'm not using any perk deck that gives a dodge bonus just to be clear.
While wearing the Heavy Ballistic Vest with this skill aced, would I under any circumstances have a chance to activate dodge in a sprinting or crouching situation, or does the -35 base cancel out the dodge bonuses while sprinting and crouching? I'm wondering because if the chance is negligible or non-existent, it would allow me to remove the aced version to get some extra skill points to spend elsewhere.
