I'm curious. I'm using a Heavy Ballistic Vest, and I noticed that Duck and Cover aced gives a 25% increased chance to dodge while sprinting, and 15% when crouching. My armor incurs a -35 dodge chance, so the chance to dodge by default is 0. I'm not using any perk deck that gives a dodge bonus just to be clear. While wearing the Heavy Ballistic Vest with this skill aced, would I under any circumstances have a chance to activate dodge in a sprinting or crouching situation, or does the -35 base cancel out the dodge bonuses while sprinting and crouching? I'm wondering because if the chance is negligible or non-existent, it would allow me to remove the aced version to get some extra skill points to spend elsewhere.
If your base dodge is 0 it should indeed give you 25% and 15% dodge while sprinting and crouching, unless some mechanical changes that I'm not privy to took place. An easy way to test this would be to load up a game and run around for a while and see if you dodge.
Anyone up for tackling Beneath The Mountain and a couple of other heists on DW? http://steamcommunity.com/id/VietRooster/
Wait, did they completely change how concealment works? I have a weapon that used to be basically 26 concealment on its own, but now its around 19/20, meaning I can use it with my dodge/crit build
It's because Overkill decided it'd be a great idea to give every single enemy the "easy" domination preset. Which means exactly what it means, they'll surrender if you even LOOK in their general direction. Though that's the least of my concerns with how stupid this beta is. My favorite is the FAK auto revive thing, seriously who thought this was a good idea especially when it has no cooldown.
You're not gonna talk about Heavy Impact smacking Cloakers and Dozers around? Or Body Expertise which is essentially a DPS boost, paired with Fast Fire Aced making Tans trivial?
Hmm, I've done Crit, Dodge and inspire to give myself a good start for a build, but I'm at level 71 and I'm not sure what weaponry to focus on, so many weapon trees.
Everyone's talking about how busted and OP the new skills are, and I'm just wishing the beta had some skills to keep you from moving like a geriatric walrus.
Everyone's talking about how busted and OP the new skills are, and I'm just wishing the beta had some skills to keep you from moving like a geriatric walrus.
It's called Inspire. Seriously, use it. Makes the team move at Sanic speeds.
You're not trying hard enough if you havent found out how to move fast Seriously did you even read any of the skills? There's almost too many movement speed boosts
I can get em for you, not much of a problem. Outta curiosity tho what are you planning on using them as reference sfor?
Making a dumb little animation in flash. Somewhat half assed because I have a template, somewhat not because I have to edit approximately 900 frames by hand. I planned to throw the masks on top, I would need the models as reference images to draw off. I found the model tool off lastbullet, I'll go dig them up myself.
i just solo'd ovk meltdown it was long and painful but god damn it was fun with dual krinkovs and hipfire sprinting
At what point do I stop getting instakicked from every lobby? It's pretty shitty only being able to play if my friend does too. People just seem to rather play with one less than with someone new to the game, which kinda annoys me, I don't feel like I'm doing too bad, just tend to get carried away killing stuff sometimes and forget the environment around me. And the lobbies aren't even Deathwish, because that would be excusable kicking someone new. It's Overkill, overkill feels pretty easy imo, so I don't see why playing with a newbie would be a problem.

This beta is stupid? Sure This beta is broken and unbalanced? Sure But this is the funniest and freshest experience in payday 2 so far
All I can say is that I hope Overkill takes their time with this Beta, because at the current time there's a ton of stuff to sort out. For starters I think they need to tweak sentries, reevaluate Uppers Aced, and High Impact needs to stop sending Bulldozers into a ballerina routine. High Impact is only good for weapons like LMGs or shotguns utilizing Low Blow like the Raven. Otherwise, High Impact just makes it harder to kill the Dozer because you're scattering him all over the floor. I think they should go back to the original 100 point limit, in order to encourage committing to a certain role/tree rather than everyone being a jack of all trades. Also, I hope things like Kilmer Aced see a return. (oh and I'm still looking for people to properly tackle DW heists with (preferably with voice chat or Skype) http://steamcommunity.com/id/VietRooster/)
So, while doing Birth of Sky and looking for the rings, I got stuck between two chairs and a desk. [t]http://puu.sh/oCfem/03c7e22b0b.jpg[/t][t]http://puu.sh/oCfgE/6213937a11.jpg[/t]
So I got DW Beneath The Mountain finished (love you Martinz) We attemped Birth of Sky and he somehow managed to get stuck between the manager's desk and the two chairs in the car shop. I couldn't burn him out, and even I got stuck eventually. [t]http://i.imgur.com/fUh7b1L.jpg[/t]
Congratulations! You're the manager of the car shop now. Report that ASAP in the discussions board, though. OVK crew have been doing excellent work responding to & following up on level issues lately.

I heard you were gonna consider integrating Project PHOENIX into it, which would be great because I liked the extra bit of life it added to the game.

Soon, though, I want to make an announcement regarding what exactly 6.0 is bringing. My intent is to make it a mod that most PD2 players won't have a reason NOT to install.
My intent is to make it a mod that most PD2 players won't have a reason NOT to install.
So a rebalance mod?
So a rebalance mod?
There are so many rebalance mods now that I'm pretty sure most PD2 players won't need another one.
I'm amazed people install rebalance mods at all
well the balance is kinda fucked up and mods like DMCWO have additional ammo types and other good stuff
I'm amazed people install rebalance mods at all
I'm not. Sometimes you get bored and wanna mix it up in-between updates.
well the balance is kinda fucked up and mods like DMCWO have additional ammo types and other good stuff
They'd be fairly ineffective or cheaty if not played offline, no?
I wish the Realistic Sound mod was still being worked on. Makes guns sound so fucking powerful, with headphones it's earsex.
(oh and I'm still looking for people to properly tackle DW heists with (preferably with voice chat or Skype) http://steamcommunity.com/id/VietRooster/)
i'll help you with any loud ones. stealth is just something I prefer to do as host and on a "really really need to do" basis which is not the case here, hahah.
There are so many rebalance mods now that I'm pretty sure most PD2 players won't need another one.
I miss the days of when there were only the two weapon rebalance mods, and they were actually distinct enough to justify them being seperate mods. The massive influx of rebalance mods only really happened because DMC was on the brink of quitting Payday 2 forever because of the Crimefest fiasco, hell that's why most of the rebalance mods try to emulate it anyway. That blew over thankfully.
I'm amazed people install rebalance mods at all
Not everyone agrees with Overkill's horrendous idea of what's "fun" or "balanced", and modders have proven time and time again that they can actually do a better job than Overkill at times. Seriously I can't play vanilla Payday 2 because it genuinely isn't fun, their idea of balancing overpowered weapons/skills is just to make everything overpowered.
I think some of you people just worry too much about stats Every gun is fine Vanilla as long as you know how to use them the best
