Yes, but in the name of "Balance", they gave it great ammo pickup rate, large ammo pool, piss poor accuracy, very few mods, and craptastic damage. The suppressor bonuses actually make it usable. There is no real excuse as to why an assault rifle would have the accuracy of a smooth bore shotgun.
Really, the sniper stock should a ton of accuracy, which it needs badly. The barrel mods should be separated into two different mod categories. One for barrels, and the other for hand guards. It can be a good weapon, but the stats that matter are crap.
It might actually reflect the gun since some of the german soldiers were complaining of losing zero in the middle east. Turns out excessive heat causes the barrel trunion to melt the frame. Hence, I nick named mine the "Trunion Melter Supreme".

You may have a point there, that it's for "balance" reasons.
But then explain the Compact-5's accuracy situation for me. 28 accuracy, base.
Even with silencer skills, I wasted half a freaking mag to hit 1 guy once, yes, [b]once[/b], at medium range. What is this things excuse?

Yeah the high ammo SMGs got fucked over accuracy wise for some reason. The 150 ammo SMGs are pretty much the same as the 150 ammo assault rifles stats-wise, 40+ damage, ~80 accuracy, 100 stability, but for some reason the 200+ ammo SMGs suck ass compared to their assault rifle counterparts. I can get the JP36, Commando, Clarion, etc to ~60 accuracy easily but the Cobra, Micro Uzi and Compact-5 can barely get 40.

The irony of open bolt SMGs (Mac10, Swedish K) having more accuracy over a closed bolt SMG (MP5, Skorpion).

with the right skills and mods I got the swedish key to 102 damage and a shitton well accuracy :V

Did they fix the recoil on the Swedish K yet? It's been recoiling downwards since the weapon balance.
There still need to be balance passes on weapons, this isn't news. That full balancing of weapons can't feasibly come before the skills are shored up, because skills interact with the viability of different weapons on so many levels.
Armor bags are still pretty useless. What would be a good way to make this deployable item more valuable, or should it just be removed?
I doubt it's possible, but the only way I can see it as being useful in its current form is if it could also change your entire skill build, perk deck, and weapons.
The amusing part about the armor bag is how quickly it became obsolete, because I'm almost certain it was a added, and then not too long after we gained the ability to restart our heists, so there was no point in using it unless you're the type of person who runs a heist all the way through, even if you fuck up stealth and cause an alarm. Something for those people who are into that self-imposed challenge things.
Another way I can see it as being of some use is like giving you the ICTV without having to spend the points at the expense of your deployable. Or if using it when you already have armor, it reinforces your current one for like an additional 40% or something.
Make it an actual deployable that double your armor until it completely break and has 2 uses or something.
This has got to be the 1st time in a long while that I have started to loose money in the game.
Thanks to playing about with different skill builds and buying new weapons that I gave up on using after the weapon rebalance.
Granted I still have over $4 Billion spending (never had anything to spend it on), but at least it has dropped by a few million.
Also some of these stealth based builds can get a bit on the stupid side.

That's a CAR-4 DMR (with all the concealment stuff) that does 210.6 damage, a Baby Deagle that does 157.9 Damage, Lightweight Ballistic Vest, Drill Skills(apart from the mele to restart chance), Silent Killer, All ECM Skills, Thick Skin, Optic illusions.
And I have a 3 detection risk, so if you take a health regen perk deck (Muscle or Grinder), you are still set if you muck up stealth and want to continue it in loud...

I also have the concealment stat modifiers equipped on my weapons.
What does Optics Illusions do?
Basic
You gain +1 concealment on each silenced weapon you have equipped.
Aced
Reduces the concealment penalty of silencers by 2.
I noticed while trying to make a stealth based build that you will have such an insane abundance of extra points
Yeah, you can cram a lot of stuff into 1 stealth build that normally were split into 2 or even 3 separate builds in non beta.
It's because now most of the skills you take actually matter to what you want to do, instead of having random skills you'd never need
AMR-16 + silenced skills = 110 damage. With Body expertise, it drops greenies in 1 bodyshot.

Car-4 at 210 damage with silencer skills, 65% crit chance, and frenzy berserker. Drops dozer's in 3 shots.
Combined with crook's 143 lbv armor and 25 base dodge for a fun glass cannon build. :v:

What's all this talk about a beta? Are the redoing aspects of the game or something. Just looked on steam most played. Payday 2 went from being on of the most played 30,000 plus people on steam at even given time to around 4000 in a couple of.monthz

Jeez, and I thought the +3 concealment boosts for the Bernetti and Bronco made things a bit crazy.
With the current system I can already take a 23 concealment CAR-4 DMR and still remain at only 3 detection rating, if they keep this as is we'll almost be able to take sniper rifles or much more optimal assault rifles stealthing without a problem.

They're completely redoing the skill trees, so most old builds are now dead but many, many new ones are now viable (6 sentry technician ftw)
