I absolutely love it when Overkill gives us this backstory stuff. Considering that Payday has such a wide array of characters and personalities, it makes me sad the way they gloss over their backstories, and don't really give most of them a chance to shine. So I treasure every snippet of it I get, and this is a big one. Also, I get the feeling Sydney's a lot like Bonnie might have been in her 20's, before she went to jail.
Sadir oughtta write up the backstories for everyone else too. We know details, like Dragan's history as a pit fighter, and Dallas trying to pull a Yojimbo.

One good example is the relationship between the heisters. We know what's the situation between Hoxton and Houston, but why stop there? What about Chains and John Wick? Hoxton and Clover? Jacket seems like a dude who creeps everybody out; why isn't there more mention of this? Or how about Dragan's past as a cop: What does the gang think of that? After all, weren't there "early suspicions regarding his loyalty"? Do Wick and Sokol speak in Russian to each other? They're all minor details, but I'd be really satisfied to see them inside the game as voice lines, instead of having to look for them in a separate page. Something more creative than just "Hey, <heister>, come with me!"
I think having Wick and Sokol occasionally making snarky remarks to each other in Russian would be a fantastic touch.
I think having Wick and Sokol occasionally making snarky remarks to each other in Russian would be a fantastic touch.
Is John Wick's knowledge of Russian even acknowledged in the game?
tbh I'm still remarkably dissapointed Jacket has no unique lines for Sokol, given his intense nationalistic hatred of russia
I think having Wick and Sokol occasionally making snarky remarks to each other in Russian would be a fantastic touch.
Not just to each other, but speaking his language overall would be cool. It's sad that it's either no native language lines (Sokol) or all native language lines (Jiro) I would love to see a least one "CLOAKER BLAYD!" or something. I mean, cmon, he even speaks russian in the trailer. On another note, why doesn't Jiro speak english? He clearly knows how to considering he sometimes say "Silent but deadly." after stealthing a heist, but that's about it.

Doesn't he also say 'politisya'? (I don't know the Cyrillic word for it, sorry :c)
Also, I get the feeling Sydney's a lot like Bonnie might have been in her 20's, before she went to jail.
Bonnie: You know *swigs from bottle*, you remind me of meself when I was a lass Sydney: Really? Bonnnie: Yeah, I used to have a duck's arse haircut too
oh too bad pocorose isn't a standalone, I really hate pocohud
Well, you can use this mod to bind voices to buttons (an organized version of Basic Voices mod)
Sokol also speaks in russian for one of his "What's that smell" lines Also one of his Turret callout's is your typical "Blyat cyka"

How so? What's the difference between this one and the one on LastBullet?
I play exclusively dodge for the most part and I gotta say it really needs to be tweaked. 15% dodge on Maniac or grinder will get you absolutely torn to shreds on most maps. dodge is already weak even with 40% so at 15% you're fucked for snipers or most mobs

I usually run gambler when using a suit so the entire team gets HP. I will run maniac or ex prez when I'm in armor.

Remember the Out of Frame teaser that was posted a few pages back? Here's another. Coming real soon.
A-Z sorting with dividers for each category of lines. And more good lines in general.
Hmmm.. Question. How do I rebind the keys? :v:
I got the game on the ps4 since it was pretty cheap on sale, since i only played the first one for a few hours any tips or should i just play it like i want or? And i'm more of a support player and took the vigilante (?) skill tree that starts with a first aid kit, is there a better one or?

Overkill tend to take a while to update the console version and as far I'm aware not all the content gets in (I think this only applies to the CS:GO Heist). Other than that, feel free to try and experiment which kind of style fits you better. Right now there is a skill beta in the PC version which changes many ways how you can make your own builds and makes easier to get what you need for you and your team. Payday 2 has a lot of stuff that never explains so there will be a long road of things to learn. Remember to also to check perk decks. Edit: If you want to be a support style character, try Mastermind which has skill for pistols, medbags (Those restore your health and all your downs) and stability. Fugitive is more about light builds and the first aid kits only restore health but are good for a quick fix.

Oh booooy, the akimbo Chimano Compacts aren't working on the Viewmodel Tweak for some reason - does anyone know the id for it? 'x_g26' isn't registering anymore.
Isn't it missing Jacket as well?
Anyone got a guide for replacing audio files? I found a guide a month ago, but now I can't remember what it was, nor can I find one myself. NVM, I found it. Anyone know what might be the armor sound filenames? Like armor damage, armor broken, armor regenerated and health loss. Or what folder they might be in...
Pretty sure it's "jowi".
Yeah, figured so (thank you btw <3) but it's still not affecting the viewmodel, no idea why. Tearing my hair out at this.

Christ, those skins look awful compared to the others they have released.
"Reduced the chance of Bulletproof triggering a knockback with ranged weapons." But why though... Even with my 216 damage M308, it barely triggers on shields. Wasn't the chance based on damage? And even then, meleeing them triggers it 100%.
