Have you tried using the PD2 FP group announcement? Chances are you'll get at least one person to join.

I play DW semi-frequently. Feel free to hit me up.

Double me on Sam
Altough DW is not my most enjoyed difficulty, i'll have to bite the bullet for my next and only goal
Man, our first heist, Boiling Point, was pretty dull. When we got to the EMP bomb which landed in the warehouse, thank god, and in the far right corner too, at that time, we sat around with out thumbs up our arse because noone attacked. Also, since when can Thanny 2-shot a SWAT turret on OK?

The EMP in that position appears to trigger some possible pathing issues for enemies- they get stuck on the exterior balcony of the sawmill. I think the Thanatos has pretty much always been able to 2-shot an OVK turret- they hit the turret and the shield simultaneously.

Didn't the turret have a damage cap or something, making Thanny useless?
Didn't the turret have a damage cap or something, making Thanny useless?
No, either damage cap was raised or removed entirely since RPG can one kill it too.

Well that's good. Rarely see Thanny used nowadays.
Well that's good. Rarely see Thanny used nowadays.
Well it should be used more. The beta's marksmanship bonus of regening a round every few headshots or so make a thanatos go from having 15 rounds of ammo to 24 rounds if you are on your game and land every headshot. Even better with the ammo bonus from the enforcer tree.

The damage cap is still in place- the turret and shield HP is just low enough (and the cap high enough) that damage is still enough to take the turret out if you're hitting it through the shield. That's my understanding at least- the guide also says the weak point isn't available for penetrations shots while the shield is up. The turret is weird in a lot of ways.
There's also a desync bug related to incomplete explosive or fire damage by clients. While flametrhowers no longer instantly kill turrets, it's still possible to (as a client) take off the shield with fire or explosions, then destroy the turret, which won't know to retreat. This is getting patched soon, I believe.

Getting the shield down is only 2 shots, but shooting the weakpoint itself(third life as it were) does bugger all. It's like tossing asscheeks at a wall.

My understanding is you're still doing damage. It may or may not still be applying the 100x multiplier- the long guide's language is ambiguous on that point.
I still wonder why cosplayers never use the correct suits for characters or just go with plain black suits and ties
Because a legitimate and properly-tailored suit is very expensive.
[editline]30th May 2016[/editline]
Like, Dallas' suit? to get a legitimate, proper looking version of that you're going to be dropping $700+ easily for a suit you're never going to wear again.

Also the safe bullshit was dropped. New safes are gonna be available that don't require drills, and the old safes will stop dropping ( though they will still exist )
I actually really like Dragan becoming one of the "main" crew
Holy shit, you won't need drills for safes anymore
[editline]shit[/editline]
Any trust lost in them by me has been regained oh my god
We own PAYDAY again
The PAYDAY franchise is ours again and to celebrate it, we’re giving away a community grenade, the skills tree and we’re making the black market free for everyone going forward. Check out the video above for more details.
This is really nice to hear.
Mainly popping back because of the Update 100 announcement, but damn that actually seems pretty solid.
So I'm guessing Starbreeze owned the franchise rights before this point? Because the fact they're now ripping out the old safe system and actually allowing everybody access to grenades kinda implies that Starbreeze were in fact the reason behind a lot of the more questionable choices in the last year or two.
You can't really say no to the guys paying your bills unless you can demonstrably prove that their idea will lose them money after all.
This is really nice to hear.
Them signing a deal to regain the rights to their own franchise pretty much confirms what I (and I assume others) knew, that Starbreeze has been milking this shit.
With Overkill owning it again? I'm actually very interested to see what happens.
I like this new direction at Overkill. I know I've shit on them a few times in the past, but it is honestly endearing to see them come this far. Being a player since the first game causes me to reflect on how things were back then, and compare to how much they've grown now.
If they keep going on with this current direction, then I'll definitely be looking forward to these remaining 18 months.

Yeah they owned the rights, I think more and more over time (?) they took more control of the game but thats pretty much how it went. Payday 2 made Starbreeze a lot of money, man.
I hope them getting the rights back means exactly what I think it means.

Actually, I'm wondering if it was 505 Games.
All the previous announcements in extending the game's lifespan have all been tied to 505 Games.

It's not going to stop people jumping on Overkill for any of the shit in the past, which is a shame as the team do seem to actually give a fuck about the game and the content (both in game and out) they put out is still quite strong. But the monetisation practices Starbreeze employed have ruined their image for people who refuse to separate publisher and developer.

Mm true thinking of it. 505 have just kinda been there in the background for all these years. Nobody ever really talks about them.
This update is off to a good start. Free grenades and no more bullshit drills. If the rest keeps going like that I might remove my negative review and reinstall.
(I mean, I haven't spent so much time on a Kawaii Mask Gallery just to never see it back)
Holy fuck I super want this to be Biker from Hotline Miami
The fact that safes not requiring drills anymore as soon as they branched away from Starbreeze really does say something as to what Starbreeze was doing to Overkill.

Overkill is still a Starbreeze studio, the video description says as much.
