sit on ma' dick, cloaka.
probably the best line from sydney, to be honest
i feel that if they added a heister who only communicated in swear words it would be the best heister
Why did Wolf, Hoxton and Houston leave? Where are the girls? And why is nobody talking about the end of mtxs here?
Is the dlc worth buying? I was thinking of picking up the goty edition during the summer sale.
I have set up a Facepunch Payday 2 Discord channel, for those that are interested: https://discord.gg/012lk9VLZW9CXTzUd
Everything should be (mostly) set up right.
Holy fuck I super want this to be Biker from Hotline Miami
It almost certainly won't be.
The engine noise in the trailer was of a v-twin, which means cruiser. Biker rode a sportsbike, those almost always use inline-4s.
It's kind of weird to see that the truth pretty much was that 505 or w/e was twisting their arm after all, lol. [sp]Personally, I blame the VR but of course, I can't prove this.[/sp]
Well, here's to the future of Payday. Glad to see it's finally looking bright again. Can't wait for Thursday.
Thursday will be fun.
And not due to the safe\drill changes. But due to the skill tree\perk deck changes going live and all the players that have not been paying attention to it, spamming the PD2 steam forums with their usual "logical" posts, crying about the changes.

Clover, Bodhi, Jimmy and Sydney were pretty much that, I'd prefer a cold-blooded professional heister for a change.

It'd be pretty neat if the biker was that kind of person. Looks like a thug, acts like a pro.
The guy who came up with manager mayhem came up with another heist
I love that the E3 trailer was basically 3 friends ribbing each other. I am 100% in support of Dragan replacing Wolf as the main 4th heister.
I like that in all the trailers Dallas and Chains are the only consistent members of the gang.
I'm in love with the bodyshot skill branch in Technician. It makes life alot easier. Like they say: "Center mass! Center mass for fucks sake!"

I agree with this honestly, unless they can get someone else to do Wolf's voice,
So I tried out Manager Mayhem and Turret Takedown, 2 of the first custom heists. And... it's a promising start.
Manager Mayhem, a loud-only 2-day heist, has custom objectives and a couple cool things (like driving out of the Hoxton Revenge mansion) but most of it is not particularly fun and doesn't make a lot of sense.
Turret Takedown on the other hand, a stealth-only 1-day heist, is a lot more enjoyable. The objectives make sense, and it's a genuinely hard stealth heist. Despite being set on Election Day Day 2 Warehouse, the targets are not as easy to sneak to than you're used to. There are a fair share of glitches (guards walking through closed doors notably) but overall this heist is more memorable and interesting.
I'm looking forward to what that guy can make next.
In the meantime, I've thought up a couple of custom heists which I hope will be made some day:
- A loot-focused Election Day Warehouse with more complex security;
- The Great Train Robbery: a 3-day stealth heist focused on infiltrating and robbing a train: Day 1 would use The Bomb: Dockyard (where you need to get on the train and do a couple other things), Day 2 would be Transport: Train Heist (the train stops and the crew needs to clear that out) and Day 3 would be The Bomb: Forest (if Day 2 went loud, the train derails) or Murky Station (if Day 2 was completed in stealth).
- Elevated Risk: a 2-day heist about robbing a plane this time. Day 1 is Firestarter Day 1: getting on the plane. Day 2 is Birth of Sky, robbing the plane in stealth if possible, and placing the loot in crates that are dropped off the plane. Then the crew jumps off with parachutes, recovers the crates (in loud or stealth, depending on whether they could stay in stealth on the plane or at the airport) and secures the loot.
- Once a Criminal...: a 2-day heist with a focus on timed objectives. It's kind of a silly heist, for shits and giggles. Basically, Bain's cousin is a successful DJ who is about to have a concert at the Arena, only he forgot his mixtape. in Day 1, the Nightclub, you have to get the mixtape back by getting it from where he left it. Of course the Nightclub is closed so you can't get in the usual way. Day 2 is the Alesso Heist (without Alesso). First the heisters go deliver the tape, but then Bain hears that the concert hall is on fire and asks the gang to save the people trapped in there (telling them that he couldn't stand it if the gang left without saving all those people, the bad press would be horrible or something). So you have to accomplish different timed objectives to save the people. You could have a reward depending on the amount of people you saved. You get more XP if the heist goes loud because the police was there and focused only on the gang, so the police gets all the bad press.
If I get any other okay ideas I'll let you know.
Christ, the market for Sydney's safe.
I'm hoping the paid safe removal was just misinterpreted as all paid safes being removed at once and the reality of it being that as new, free to open safes come in, old drill safes will be pulled out of rotation.
Dragan is best heister.
He has a good suit.
Even though the Payday 2 crew lack personality in-game Dragan is the best character since The Heist's line-up. The only thing I dislike about him is his mask. It's not intimidating, it looks like a kid did it with crayons. Even the Croatian flag is wrong. Also the fact that Dragan is supposed to be his real name is "Jim Hoxworth" levels of stupidity.

what possible reason would they have to slowly pull safes instead of doing it in one big move
a steam marketplace they still take a percentage of the profit from? something tells me that might not be the most pressing matter

Being a Wolf main is suffering
Does anyone have a YouTube playlist of all in-heist songs' assault versions? The ones I found so far are loops from the purchasable soundtracks, but the in-game versions differ and I'd love to have a long loop of in-heist in-game songs' assault parts looping while playing Smite.
Just a reminder since I posted this kind of late last night, I created a Facepunch Payday 2 Discord channel, so if you're interested in that kind of thing: https://discordapp.com/invite/012lk9VLZW9CXTzUd

Despite how infamous some of the inspire lines are in Payday 2, I'm shocked that nobody has taken the time to upload a video dedicated exclusively to the inspire lines of every character in a neat audio-only package like with pager responses.
I think they might be somewhere in those 10+ minute videos that have bunched a single heist member's dialogue lines in a long video, but I never get far enough to hear them, so I don't know for sure. If they do exist, they're probably buried under the sea of irrelevant, and garbage videos.
Are shotguns still shit? I put this game down in the mud for a while after Shitstormfest but Im willing to dust it off again if they got rid of the fucking nonsense
Speaking of coming back into the game, how is the modding community right now? I remember some people talking about quitting around the time of the crimefest shitshow, what mods are alive and which new ones should I look into?

Yes.
Not really, they buffed all their damage and even the automatics are pretty much one-shot on overkill now. I'm not sure how they are still shitty.
Shotguns are pretty decent, I think. I run an infiltrator enforcer build now using the Raven shotgun and it works for me pretty well.
Also nice how all my skills stack so I can sprint in all directions, reload while sprinting, and hipfire while sprinting.
