Oh man, I just started playing this again a couple days ago. Didn't know we had a thread on FP. Don't suppose there's a chance for any more DLC? I can dream...
Don't suppose there's a chance for any more DLC?.
I don't think so, but I bet that Rockstar isn't done with westerns. At least I hope so...

Goddamn, Advanced co-op missions are impossible. At least with the people I'm playing with. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] Also, something funny I noticed today. If you're playing a match against only one other person, if you vote to kick them they'll be kicked instantly because only your vote is required. Pretty funny, and useful if you're not doing too well and don't want them to win.
Was playing Free Roam in a game with a couple other people on PS3 today, The game was nighttime and it was a thunderstorm. I was kinda half idle in Chuparosa and came back to one of them running around outside looking for me. I managed to dodge him and was standing on the edge of the wall surrounding the town when he saw me, or the silhouette of my character with the storm in the background and said "Woah" over voice chat. He just stood there looking at me so I jumped down outside of the town and got on my horse and rode away, I got kicked from the game a few seconds later. I think I scared him. I also had somebody in another Free Roam game invite me to a posse, I teleported to him and found a stagecoach. He shot both the horses on it so I jumped off, left the posse and started riding off. He followed after me so I did a 180 degree shot with my Explosive rifle and killed his horse, sending him flying off into the bushes. (It was a friendly game.) Man, I can't believe I never played Red Dead before now, this is amazing.

One of my all time favourites. I binge played it for a bit a few months back but never got around to beating it a third time. I'd really like to though, maybe once I move back home I will start playing this game again. I loved the treasure hunting.
Not started the story but played around with it on the PS3. Anyone else got it for PS3?
Not started the story but played around with it on the PS3. Anyone else got it for PS3?
Do not return until you finish the wonderful story D:
Do not return until you finish the wonderful story D:
Fuuuu- if only we had it on the same console D:
Not started the story but played around with it on the PS3. Anyone else got it for PS3?
I have it on ps3, been playing it again recently, mostly to finally beat undead nightmare seeing as I've owned it since last summer. But yeah, beat the story.
Haven't played it in over a year now, is the multi-player still dead? [PS3]
Haven't played it in over a year now, is the multi-player still dead? [PS3]
Not the last time I checked, but to be fair that was a while ago. It is pretty DLC dependent. Especially Undead Nightmare and Liar's and Cheats.
Funnily enough, I just picked this game back up and the weirdest thing happened. So, I just did the gang hideout just outside of Armadillo (farmer wants you to rescue his daughter) and I noticed a group of cows just wandering around. I'd never seen cows in the wild before, so I approached them eagerly. Then, one of the fucking things bullrushes me and damn near kills me. Luckily, my shotgun put it down pretty quickly. Not once in all the years I have played has that ever happened. Hell, I didn't even know that wild cows existed, not to mention attack.

"In multiplayer, if the player has very low health and a cow runs them over, it will display the message "[Player name] was somehow killed by a cow." :v:
Damnit, I made the same mistake and bought the regular version instead of the GOTY edition for ps3 which was the same price. Oh well, I'm thinking about buying UDN for 20 bucks. Is the disc noise loud for the disc version of UDN on the ps3? Regular RDR sounds loud as hell, which is annoying especially during midnight sessions.

Goddamn, the only time I buy physical copies now is when there's no digital version available.

I still don't shoot the blue shirt guy who goes "Why you shot me?!" out of pity.
I thought I'd revive this just to say that the multiplayer on this game is absolutely broken now. The servers are still up and it still has quite a high active population, but there's persistent issues where players are invisible/invincible or just do not appear in each other's worlds despite being on the same server, and there's a quite profitible glitch in Armadillo that gives you about 50xp per second, as well as blurring up your screen and destroying the audio. It's also common to be stuck on infinite loading screens when changing sessions or going into the Outfitter. So if you missed out on this game's multiplayer the first time around, you've pretty much missed your chance as Rockstar aren't going to fix this.
I bet this wouldn't be a problem if there was a *cough* Pc version *cough*

I guess soon means never.
yeah, they said they were looking into it back in february but they've probably fully shifted priorities onto GTA online by now
I still think it's messed up that they completely stop caring about gta IV's, max payne 3's, and red dead's multiplayer once gta v online came out.
I wish I could play this game again. My sister let her friend borrow it and she hasn't seen him in forever
Yeah, the game is somewhat playable on PS3 except for yesterday, I was in a Friendly session but I could still kill people when they weren't T posing around me or being invisible (without the explosive rifle, mind you) and it's completely broken on 360. My mount doesn't come when called and I keep getting infinite loading screens now after freezing once.
may just be me but i feel that rdr isn't a game that necessarily needed the multiplayer, so i don't feel all that bad about it being broken.
They released a patch, online mode is now fixed.
Good news, online's totally fixed. Bad news is that everybody seems to start with explosive rifles with full ammo.
I was so close to a zebra. But my gold membership ran out.
