I think we'll probably see an announcement by 2016.
They seem to release something every year, we'll probably get big GTA V dlc next year with an announcement of the next Red Dead, then maybe a release the following year.
I really feel like playing this game again because of how much I loved it, but I hate using an Xbone.
Its weird to think that this game came out four years ago, and how many people have forgotten about the gem.

i finally bought a copy within the last year, i've always played rdr through friends.
Red dead redemption was the first game I ever preordered. Oh god talking about it gives me so many good memories
Red Dead Redemption is the first game were I actively tried to complete it 100%
The story, soundtrack, gameplay and design were all amazingly well done.
Wish the would do s sequel... even though John doesn't make it through, maybe they could base it before 1911 when he is going about with the gang, or use Jack

It's not the first game I've preordered, but it was the first Rockstar game I've preordered.

So first off yes I'm sorry for the tremendous fucking bump. I think multiplayer is broken on the 360 again. I try to join a game, it takes 10 minutes and then boots me back to SP. Cleared my cache, joined a game full of people using a trainer of some sort, also I was able to kill people in friendly free roam, but it'd just say they died or were blown up. Went to the Outfitter, it's stuck on a permanent loading screen. I haven't had a chance to unpack my PS3 yet otherwise I'd test if it's working on there. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
i can check on ps3 later, i haven't touched rdr in almost a year
Last time I played (which was last year) most of the game lobbies were completely fucked up by hackers and you couldn't do much.
Going to give this a try again to pass the time while GTAV PC is coming out.
I wonder how bad the lobbies are now, if they still exist on 360.

I played not long ago and the lobbies I found were almost empty, only 3 players much.
I wish my XBOX hadn't died, so I could play this and Skate again.

If they do a sequel they sure as shit better allow access to more moves/styles and deck customization. If there's one thing that bugs me is they only ever cater to the generic competitive pro side and never those who just do it for fun.
On-topic, I've mulled it over for some time in the past and despite me hating the faux-ending of RDR with a passion it's almost a dream game for someone with a religious passion for westerns. I'm fucking praying daily Rockstar try and do a samurai game in a similar vein. Taking notes from the likes of Kurosawa and Takashi Miike.
Main character based off most of Toshiro Mifune's performances would be god-tier. A mix of Yojimbo, Red Beard and Kikuchiyo.
