I'm excited for soldier customization, what I really hope is that I can make them an even closer likeness of my friends.
What would be the best though, would be if some of these customization options can be set by what happens to the soldiers. Like rookies could start out twitchy, or after taking a couple melee hits they'll get a scar. Higher ranked soldiers are more by the book or intense. Obviously you could set these things yourself, but it's more fun to see them change naturally.
in XCOM 2 I should make my XCOM all just John Cena clones
To me that means shes in the game and based on what we know about advent i can see her being the reason behind their augmensts,as a straight up collaberator or maybe even against her will.
Vahlen in EU was always going on about the Greater Good, it wouldn't surprise me if the aliens could have won her over if she hadn't learned how nasty the ayys can be to their own people.
I just didn't like getting 75% women because I could never give them good names.
When I name people after my friends I had trouble giving the names because I have very few girl friends.
XCOM 2: Sunday Night Slam ft. John Cena

I'm going to do it for my first campaign

i guarantee you, based on an earlier interview and today's video that those scars are actually unlocked by being injured
What price did EU launch at on Steam?

That will probably ensure that ADVENT can't see you
Vahlen possibilities:
-Actually dead, you just didn't know it
-Working for the Advent, enthusiastically or not
-Working for Exalt, interviews be damned
-Leading a band of anti-ayy terrorists
-Used her brain as the model for a memetic computer virus AI
-Cydonia
Gonna tick Happy-Go-Lucky off every soldier with it. Ugh.
My headcanon is that this war has driven them insane so all my troops will keep smiling even as their comrades are vaporised right before them.

About $70 AUD for me.
To pay for Fallout 4 I've put myself on a no-vending-machines rule for two months, might have to extend that a little further now.

interesting ideas but didn't the devs say Exalt is gone?
You could make X-Piratez in stunning 3d!

is this an openxcom mod? if so what is it.

Whatever happens, I just hope it goes explained somehow. Just "disappearing" is a really boring way to get rid of her for the sake of introducing a new guy relevant to the present circumstances.

Basically, the game is set 600 years after the bad end of UFO Defense. You play as a bunch of (inexplicably female) mutants who narrowly managed to escape the aliens' work camps, and stumbled upon an ancient XCOM base. Using a shitty refurbished carrier and some 650-year-old Soviet military hardware, you and your band of muties and thugs get to make a living robbing pureblooded humans and their alien masters.
It's simultaneously somewhat easier and exponentially more difficult than vanilla OpenXCOM, but the sheer quantity of cheesecake and the wonky difficulty curve may discourage some people.

they could be lying
how shocking
I hope the collectors edition comes with bradford's sweater
I want that tattered Xcom flag in a collector's edition.

INTERVIEWS BE DAMNED
No game dev has ever lied in a pre-release interview don't you know?
I'm curious as to what the end boss is gonna be. XCOM's final boss was pretty obvious since you always had a clear idea of what the Ethereals were and what their role was from X-COM, but XCOM 2 is tons more mysterious.
That one icon of an Ethereal waving his hands around a globe does make me think that they might just reuse an Uber Ethereal for the final boss, but that'd be lame.
Uber Ethereal in a MEC, then your volunteer fights it 1on1 in fisticuffs.

Like I said, man. Just wait and see. Don't go thinking Molyneux is gonna pop out of nowhere and kick you in the nuts.
Final boss is an Uber Viper, with 100% dodge chance and six tails.

See, you forgot the Bradford fanatics "CLOSE RANGE" "BRADFORD ISN'T BRADFORD WITHOUT THE SWEATER" "What... is it, doctor?"

Your feedback has been submitted to the Advent Administration. Remember, the future begins with YOU.
Loving the idea of customizable weapons. They're doing a hell of a lot to make you more attached to your characters, so much so that they're going as far as giving sentimental value to their guns. It'll raise the stakes that much more when it comes to saving soldiers/supplies. In any case, I'm definitely naming one of my guns "Goodbye Moonmen".
I really hope they add favorite patterns for armor and whatnot, would make it so much easier if you could make several presets and just swap between them.
I look forward to the moment where I realize I'm more worried about bringing home a named shotgun I've had since mission one than the guy wielding it.
