Try having the scout move next to a cover that 3 people can fully see, only to have 2 cyberdisks pop out side by side of the cover tile the scout moved to.
That map is broken as all hell.
Can't believe the footage hasn't been released yet.

It's literally the day after. It's slated for this week according to those who went to the panel. Be patient.

Some footage that just got uploaded to XCOM's YT channel from last year's Firaxicon. Probably very late on this, sorry.
I'm hoping that when XCOM 2 comes out, someone will make a mod that removes classes and class restrictions entirely. Make it so that any soldier can equip any weapon, and every soldier has access to the entire skill-tree.
Would be interesting to see what kind of crazy builds people make with freeform soldier levelling.
I tell you, the first mod I'm going to try and work on is a way to hack ADVENT MECs and use them as your own. Of course, could all be null and void if you can do that anyway.
If they give as much control as they are promising, we're in for some amazing mods.

Two words my friend: Borderlands: Tactics.

Basically nothing new, just some interesting facts
These were the darkest times for Central. To no avail, he found himself continually seeking comfort at the bottom of a bottle.
It took a tip from what little resistance remained that you, the Commander, had possibly been located to bring Central back into the fold. He is somewhat of a broken man, Commander, but your return can hopefully provide him, and humanity, new hope that we can reclaim our planet.
Bradford ;_; I will try to fix you.

I swear if they're going to use that Coldplay song I'm going to cry :v:

Interesting russian video. No new gameplay, but has some interesting data
Reddit analysis from a translator - if any Russian speakers are present, your confirmation is appreciated.
-[sp]He said that Bradford is the one, who who orders your retrieval from cryo.[/sp]
-He said that we gonna see flashbacks from the first game
-He said that game became more personal for you
-He said that game is probably gonna be harder than the EU/EW
-He said that there are gonna be a lot of cutscenes

Ruskie here:
No, when they said that Bradford gets you, they meant figuratively - as in, he orders for your rescues. Not picks you up personally.

It's an analysis/opinion piece, it has no new info.

Do advent MEC not have an organic pilot?
sweet baby jesus give us the pax footage
sweet baby jesus give us the pax footage
It took them almost a week to finally have the Gamecom footage up on the YT channel, so I wouldn't hold my breath so hard waiting for it
Do advent MEC not have an organic pilot?
Organic, yes... Pilot, however, is not the word I'd use.
Oh god, just imagine if they make them mechtoids with the mobility of a floater

In XCOM, it felt really good when you evened the odds and hit the aliens with their own tech

It is fun getting your own back but not as fun as the struggle imo. The game loses it's way when you hit titan and plasma.

That's cause the titan/plasma stuff isn't too balanced to begin with. XCOM becomes pretty OP at that point.
...BUT WHO NEEDS FANCY SPACE GUNS WHEN YOU GOT DAKKA
Doing Ironman Impossible, Ballistic only again. Can you say, zerg rush?

I could have done it about 2-5 days faster had I not forgotten to make the workshop earlier. I hope the RNG is on my side.

I agree with one exception: sectopods.
These motherfuckers have the equivalent of 60 bars of hp, love using grenades while they are hiding in the fog and can shoot twice in a turn then enable overwatch.
They are weak against disabling shot but they have this tendency to hide behind a tree so my sniper can't hit them.

Japan is getting hammered in my LW game, the last 3 terror missions have taken place there and they REALLY want to shoot down it's satellite by sending a fighter or raider at it every week or so. Meanwhile Africa is just chilling out all in the green.

In long war, aliens focus on countries with the most panic, which is goddamn stupid imo because that means that the country will get like several UFOs in just 1 month. Half of which are guaranteed to be satellite hunters, no matter if you shoot the scouts or not.

Apparently if you're doing good enough the aliens send out sat hunters without scouting for the sats. This was bullshit enough for me to massively reduce my repair times for aircraft since I really couldn't deal with every single satellite being under attack. I'm praying that XCOM 2 doesn't have this type of crap.
So getting caught up on Beaglerush's TNX I notice I'm in as "'Tailguard' Cakebatyr" the scout.
Awwww yeah!

From the looks of it, I don't think XCOM 2 has anything in the way of an airgame besides "keep the Avenger out of the path of UFOs".
I'll confess, I won't much miss it.
One thing that I'm hoping for in XCOM 2 is that they make it more clear which tiles are blocked by fire. I've had it happen to me more often then I'd like that an assault's path was blocked by invisible fire or that an ayy walked through fire that wasn't actually there.
