That's sounding pretty Shadowrun.
Would that mean Bradford is our face?

Nah, he's definitely the fixer, all about contacts and figuring out what jobs are viable.

But he also negotiates with the council, who is definitely Mr. Johnson
Ok managed to encounter EXALT Elites, got their weapons, but still need Laser weps research.
Damnit.

Excitingly complicated trigger-based weapon technology.

...but there was no Gorilla. That Rookie killed all of the Sectoids with her bare hands.

I'm way late on this, but EW is such a fun expansion.
Hey you did the same thing I did when I got MECs.

once you got to a certain stage in the game, it was kinda fun to just watch the aliens shit themselves and die upon coming into contact with this. set them on fire, they panic, watch them run into my overwatch shots
This is why I am really disappointed there will be no MECs in XCOM 2.
MECs are just badass. You don't have to like them, but you can't dispute that.

But you can argue that they aren't balanced. They are either pushovers or overpowered, no middle ground.

Not like XCOM 2 couldn't implement game mechanics that would fix that.

Gotta have something to add back in in an expansion
I managed to get only one MEC, because I actually followed about the Lt Heavies are the best candidates for MEC.
But, yeah, nothing beats punching an Ethereal with Kinetic Strike.

I play pretty casually, but I really like having a Support-MEC early in, I'm not sure if it's defense field is really all that useful, but, well, it makes me feel better at least

Not really, just make them late-game and have insanely powerful 30 ft tall sectopods to balance it.
im ok with not having MECs because there's an entirely new game full of opportunities and content to explore, which was the purpose MECs/EW originally served to EU. i dont feel they have any compelling uniqueness that is above other new possibilities in XCOM 2. the only reason to have them would be because they're familiar.
Man I ended up playing until 5 in the morning last night
While looking at wrong loose I am with this, it also proves that this game is fun and keeps you hooked
Soloman is turning every enemy he can into women.
On the other hand, Stun for the Stun god is happening!
[sp]Still mad about the moved release date[/sp]
So, Chrysalids that don't make zombies, and only stun your guys instead of murdering them?
Soloman is turning every enemy he can into women.
he said advent troops can show up as either gender for all classes in a panel.
So, Chrysalids that don't make zombies, and only stun your guys instead of murdering them?
Chryssalids that probably take cover, have a sidearm and even if they can't 1 hit kill your soldier, they can stun them, which is almost as bad as killing them since it incaps them.

I prefer to believe that be is really into BDSM and femdom, it's the only way to explain the Viper, and Berserkers apparently being female.
You say that like it's a bad thing
Can't it just happen to be that they're female? All the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park are female and no one bats an eye.
Fulton all the enemy Sectoids and send them into your R&D.

This should not be something I want, but goddamn it, I DO!
well, to be completely honest, it would be nice to see any stunned aliens being extracted in some way.
like, when you finish a level, you get that final view with the small performance report and the soldier you killed the last alien with, but nothing really happens there in the background, you know?
So, there could be some haz-mat suits running in the background, collecting any weapon fragments and any stunned aliens, and bringing them back to ship. :v: Any activity really

Yeah, because they didn't have boobs.

I'd rather see soldiers drag the captives by their feet back to the skyranger.
