Bought Enemy Within, reached enemy base, hear a sound down, jumps to check what is it, I see this: [img_thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/546406144349562399/62B507C0BD9CADF3412315B76544B625E0C69ADE/[/img_thumb]
It was at this moment Ricardo knew....he fucked up.
It was at this moment Ricardo knew....he fucked up.
To be honest, he has more chances of taking two rockets to the face and survive, than trying to fight out of this situation.
Stargate mod too, imo XCOMesque gameplay suits Stargate quite well. I'd attempt it myself if I wasn't balls at 3D modelling.
See, that would be perfect. Except for the fact that there'd be so few tech upgrades. Seriously. All the alien technology in the galaxy before a face and the only things that become commonly issued to soldiers are staff-blast resistant plates and the little attachments that kill super-soldiers. Ricardo; Can't he grapple away?
Ricardo; Can't he grapple away?
Now, he is Wolverine, he can do it all alone, there is no need for that... Also, I may or not forgot to use it, happens every time.
Halo mod for XCOM 2 let's gooooo
Ok I'm going to go on a small rant here: The thin men in Long War are too fucking op. I'm not kidding. It's fucking impossible to NOT lose a troop on a mission against them. It's fucking bullshit man. I've been trying to do the Convoy Raid Survivor Mission for over 3 hours and every fucking time the thin men just make an impossible long range shot to crit the survivor, forcing me to restart the mission. I really hope they're nerfed in the next Long War patch. Fuck Thin Men. Fuck. Thin. Men.

Against thin men cover is unreliable, so put your troops out of sight range. When they come close enough blow up their cover and shoot the hell out of them. Also, use smoke

An ODST gear set for XCOM 2 would be awesome
An ODST gear set for XCOM 2 would be awesome
Squad of ODSTs / Marines going through an abandoned night city to save civilians ala terror missions. Or use the resistance aspect for 'the Covenant have conquered this planet instead of glassing it for an unknown reason (lol forerunner action figures), you have to resist them'.
Hence why I've been trying for 3 hours I have 2 rookies... and unfortunately I can't go back because I saved during the mission...
Oh man. You fucked up. That mission is hard enough on vanilla EW that I wouldn't even think of bringing a rookie, let alone on Long War. I'm sorry for your loss. I will pray to RNGesus for you.

I think halo could work pretty well. As marines. Spartans might be too Op with what I'd do. Humans would have much higher accuracy and better cover. Covenant would be less accurate though their weapons more destructive, and tend to be rather bad at getting into cover. The problems would be drones and every explosive weapon the covenant have; being that they're all rapid fire. Also, the most brutal point of all; The best weapon in the game is the starting pistol, which becomes crappier as you get further on into the game.
Mods I want to see for xcom -Halo (standard marine armors, odst, then mjolnir mk IV) -Starship Troopers (BUUUUGGGGGSSSS/I want to know more) -Warhammer 40k (Purge xenos sympathizers with melta bombs using assault packs) -Stargate (need dem zat guns) -Fallout (Purely for that power armor) For out of place mod, I'd like to see Valkyria Chronicles characters or armor parts for your soldiers. It wouldn't fit too well, but as a fan I'd love to see that. I don't even care if the mods are super basic armor replacement mods. Just being able to throw in armors or armor parts and then be able to mix and match would make me so happy. Just imagine. The speculation for mods is giving me so much hype. I am so excited.
I hope and preay for a Stormtopper mod People really are loving Snaketits http://i.imgur.com/yBBbAe0.png

Methados is known for throwing tits on literally anything. He fucking drew a rule 63 version of his shower curtain. That and JoJo crossovers. He's pretty good :v:
Tell ya what though, the name 'X-com 2' really sounds like a sequel that could be one of two things 1- The first X-COM project was doing something wrong after the first invasion and they decided to start another, correcting their first mistake. Or maybe you're on a different planet doing the same things. Hmm. OR (more likely) 2-The game is such a dirrect sequel that all the tech and stuff you got at the end of the last game is what you have at the start of this game. You BEGIN with the plasma guns. From there you get pulse rifles, phasers, particle beams, photon weaponry, Death rays, gravity grenades, nanobots, laser swords, wizard powers, disrupters, polaron whatever-dafucks, androids, divine favour, knives, nukes, sharp sticks... # Your Endgame enemies are asura and your volunteer becomes a god. Things then scale up exponentialy from their. By the fifth game in the series, your squadron isn't human but rather a small group of sentient planets... Nah but seriously; It'd be pretty cool to see how up the ladder the series could go.

My sniper has stupid amounts of will. He can literally mind control ethereals 100% every time. That's what I get for grinding to hell and back I guess.
i hope xcom 2 uploads your save from EU/EW just so my super psy soldier John mother fucking Mustang is back in action.

Is there a way to make the metagame of long war easier without directly altering the tactical game or just some recommended strategies? Because even on normal I get my dick bit off and thrown in a fucking meat grinder on the metagame.

I just realized that in the trailer one of the guys has a shotgun with a scope on it. Slug rounds when?
