This. I cannot agree hard enough. If the tools are as diverse and powerful as we are led to believe. Many many hours of my life will be lost with them. Got to put my 3D skills to use somehow. :v:
I'm still up for making those Overwatch replacements for Advent
You guys can bet I'll be making a 40k mod.
I'll probably try doing some cosmetic mod which adds more customization options, aside from helping Nick with his stuff that is.
You guys can bet I'll be making a 40k mod.
Stormtroopers, Skitarii or Deathwatch flavour? Or, trying to fit into the la resistance story, Arbites? Arbites don't get enough love. [editline]8th October 2015[/editline] Actually Arbites get no love besides FFG throwing them a bone in Dark Heresy.
I'm still up for making those Overwatch replacements for Advent
That would make it pretty damn interesting. I feel X-Com troops make a suitable stand in for Citizen rebels, to a degree at-least I could see it working really well Although I feel the environments with them seeming somewhat future based, would take away some of that.
You guys can bet I'll be making a 40k mod.
Please for the love of god do it.

I'll also try to mod in chimeras and other vehicles. [editline]9th October 2015[/editline]
Please for the love of god do it.
You bet your squiggly ass I will.
im thinking of editing LW to simulate the outcome of xcom 2's war -more aliens, better aliens earlier. -30-50% less alien health. -less alien aim. -less ammo, more reloading for everyone. -more income per month. -more alien terror missions to balance income. -less fatigue time, more wounded time. i might edit some weapons like the lmg to allow move and shoot but with an aim penalty and a massive ammo disadvantage.

Then you lose all countries at the end of Month one, and there you go. BAM, XCOM 2.
I'm just as hyped for the modding tools and mods as I am for the main game itself. :v:
so you can get a random chance at Cyberdisks on your very first missions.
Are you completely sure that's not a standard LW feature already? :v:
If you want Long War to simulate the XCOM 2 timeline all you have to do is install Long War
not fair if they have all the fun.
It's long war though, no one is having fun.

They say they've about doubled the number of aliens, so we can expect roughly in the region of 30 alien types. Not sure if ADVENT troopers are included in that, tho. [editline]10th October 2015[/editline]

You're fucked.
You guys can bet I'll be making a 40k mod.
I would like to help you in any way possible to make this a reality
I would like to help you in any way possible to make this a reality
I'll definitely need testers. I'll keep your request in mind. Feel free to send me a steam invite, though I'll be gone for the next couple of days.
I want a mod that will introduce special characters in the game. Like, you have a limit of one "hero character" per round, but those guys are rare to get and they are just straight up characters ported from other games. Imagine having Adam Jensen in your team or Johhny Gat and they have special abilities that are different from any soldier abilities. That would be rad.
What if during XCOM, you could rarely run into other country's special-ops forces on their own missions. Like in a terror mission in the UK you could run into an SAS squad.

In Xenonauts there's actually sometimes police in terror missions army, fighting the aliens. It's really great, they are more useful than one might think. I wish it wasn't unpayably unstable for me.

texas ufo landings are just a race to who kills all the lmaos first
