Rules of Engagement looks like the right thing

[editline]KEBAB[/editline]
on a related note, Jesus christ at the youtube comments on this thing!

#1 youtube comments are always dumb as fuck, but sometimes it's funny to laugh at morons.
Also yeah the film is rules of engagement, tries to be a few good men but ultimately it's pretty shit.
Yeah I thought it was a comedy in the vein of Team America, then I looked it up and found out it was a serious war drama.
Um.

Why the fuck am I still playing this mod.
what the fuck
That's beyond a fucking joke.
Was half expecting at the bottom of the list to be
God: Kills the player in their computer chair because fuck you.
That's a very elite sniper.
i've mostly finished my .INI edits, i've no idea how lategame plays because i only tested till the end of march seeing if the shit works or not.
if anyone want the files just link me a website so that i can upload em...back to testing again i guess.

It better have enemies with at least 30 perks each. Especially mechanical-related perks on organic enemies, those are the best.
The hell is that mod?
I believe that is Art of War, AKA everything that long war didn't need.
The hell is that mod?
I assume Long War.
maybe not, nvm

What, no aimbot either?
I had an idea that some people noted as interesting for an XCOM 2 mod, but because I have no actual modeling, animation or coding talent of my own, I could probably never do it.
[sp]Basically use the stealth and ambush mechanics with a focus on one or two characters you have to supply and keep alive throughout an on-going campaign as a sort of turn-based Metal Gear mod, ala AC!D without the card bullshit. Go loud and brash, enemy reinforcements would make things an utter hell, so sit back, learn enemy patrol routes, and try to sneak through or eliminate efficiently.[/sp]

I believe you just described Invisible Inc.
So there was an article published a few days ago that I can't be assed to find that said Firaxis' ambitions for mod support are so exhaustive that, in their words, it should be able to allow you to mod in co-op support for the campaign. Love these guys.

Co-op ayy lmao removal does sound fun
have always thought it would be super fun to split command of a squad with one or a few friends
I want someone to remake XCOM EW with you playing as the Aliens.
have always thought it would be super fun to split command of a squad with one or a few friends
Divide the squad based on how many people you are playing with and give controls to separate soldiers as well as some sort of control on the ship

Can you imagine the shittalk that will happen once a player accidentally kills a star soldier? Coop sounds incredible.

What's that? Did I hear collaborator talk just now?
Maybe have a campaign where one person plays as the aliens and the other plays as XCOM.
I'm really afraid that steam's paid mods will start with this game. It would be absolutely awful.
The more I think about the mods, the more I realize I won't be able to do most of them cause of the amount of resources they'd need. Granted, such mods are large-scale mods, and I do have some more minor-related mod ideas.

Oh for fucks sake
I'm playing vanilla, how the hell does this happen on Newfoundland? Can't progress because I can only click either continue mission or extract units, neither of which does anything
What happens when you ALT+F4 the game and reload the save?
What happens when you ALT+F4 the game and reload the save?
Luckily I haven't got the Iron Man setting on but I did have to redo the whole Newfoundland mission from the start

Edit: For those who think that's potentially a little softcore I decided to accept this just now

There's apparently a Cyberdisk on the final slingshot mission that doesn't need to go into alert/discovery state to fire, and when I came across it, it burst through a door and shook off three overwatch shots, before obliterating one of my two Colonels in one hit

Yep that cyberdisk is a cunt, it always spawns in activated and annoyingly it can be anywhere on the map (but generally it's that area in your screenshot).
A little extra note on Dark Events from the XCOM website. Most of it's stuff we already know but there's screenshots and info on a few extra events that haven't been shown yet:
-Advent can research Viper Rounds: Ammunition manufactured using Viper poison
-Can deploy extra Faceless among civilians on Guerrilla Operations missions
-Guarantee of Advent reinforcements deployed during all Guerrilla Operations missions
-Increase all XCOM Intel costs by 100% for a month

Aaaand a few other tidbits. Cosplay .pdfs for Shen and Tygan of all things, but there's a little extra profile info on each as well. Read those here:
