Perhaps I should have phrased that better. Free DLC for later on if you pre-order the game. Nothing wrong with that, it's not a day 1 bonus and being made by Firaxis it will almost certainly be available to buy separately upon release. Because of the delay between release of the game and the DLC, the game itself will have dropped in price enough (or close enough) that you'd be paying the same price.

That's part of the Reinfocement Pack, which I would expect can be purchased as DLC when it's out if you didn't get the digital deluxe edition.

Going by the two DLC, DDE probably will end up having included the season pass, whereas anyone who doesn't get it has to buy the DLC when it releases in the summer next year.
No shit, that's what I meant: not free for anyone who DON'T have the pass. :v:

Here's what they have to say about the 5th class

Has one of the classes been confirmed to use exo skeletons? If not then that's the new class.

You can see the little demolitionist icon in the corner of the first screenshot you linked, so it's safe to say that it's a type of armour.

On a different note, do you guys think that we might get a demo for XCOM 2 like we did with XCOM:EU? They seem to have had something like that for the media so maybe they'll release it to the public at some point prior to release.
the rating has changed from 18 to 16, it says 16 on steam but the older trailers say 18??
Watching Beagles 2nd video and stealth seems nerve racking as fuck with the squads patrolling
the sniper pulling out the revolver and popping fools makes me diamonds
the rating has changed from 18 to 16, it says 16 on steam but the older trailers say 18??
PEGI probably didn't do the rating for XCOM 2 until they released the new trailer and 2K just asumed that it would get an 18 rating like EU
Goddammit xcom 2 and your fucking digital deluxe edition. now mind you I'm not mad that the deluxe edition exists.
I'm mad that I'm going to buy it and lose more money.
the sniper pulling out the revolver and popping fools makes me diamonds
God, doing that to enemies one tile away from you must feel so satisfying.
Everything about the system requirements sound like at the very least my old as fuck pc can run it, but I don't think I'll be able to run it well.
but that 45 gig hd space requirement terrifies me, my poor internet connection can't handle this. hopefully they'll give us a good amount of time to preload it I doubt I can preload that in less than 3 days.
New bagle. After this he's got 3 more videos planned, Cosmetics, Equipment/Perks and Details

The steam user comments on the digital deluxe edition news article are a bunch of whiny crybabies about dlc, when the deluxe edition dlc isn't even major dlc. sure a new class sounds like a big deal, but at this point nearing the end of development, the game should probably be feature complete and in bugfixing and balancing. all of this "season pass" of dlc is largely inconsequential.
Nobody complained about the slingshot dlc coming out two months after enemy unknown launched, this is LITERALLY the same thing but with the ability to preorder it for 5 dollars less. Oh but it was annouced before the game was out it must be cut content! cut content from a game delayed by several months in order to be more well polished, that is mostly cosmetic (something the art team can do while the bugfixing and playtesting is underway)
People will complain about anything for some really petty reasons but come on, how is this in any way on the same level as most day one dlc or season passes, this is so tame compared to those.
This seems like a thing pushed on them by 2K, they've done it quite a bit before. Buying Borderlands 2 before launch got you the Mechromancer class when they released it for free, and buying Evolve before launch got you the Behemoth monster when they released it for free.
the Reinforcement Pack seems like a season pass but people mistook it as day1 dlc
So uh... why is no one noticing that the game is rated T now (okay, some folks noticed PEGI 16, but still). I need my XCom to be sufficiently violent and bloody.
Firaxis are gonna be streaming the missions in a minute or so
http://www.twitch.tv/firaxisgames
In an effort to avoid the stigma of season passes, they accidentally made people mad about day one dlc.
Oh man the little details in this are so great, you can write characters Epitaphs.
Gonna have a generic spec-ops dude with the Navy Seal copy-pasta as his bio.
Well, I've done it, I've preordered the deluxe edition. Steam better give us a hell of a preload since this is freaking 45 gigs.
In the new trailer at 1:00, I think that's a laser sword
You guys sure this is UE3? Looks more like UE4

Yeah I need my soldiers to have horrible deaths to motivate me to work harder to keep them alive so I don't have to explain to their families that their loved one died by having an alien burst out of their chest and rip them in half or that their best friend got mind controlled and shot them in the back

The developers said in an interview that they are using a heavily modified version of Unreal Engine 3.5.

game looks as bloody as the first game, maybe the esrb is just being more lax then in 2012.
The character pool feature sounds pretty cool. It'll be neat to just have a bunch of FPer's in the game.
I can't remember, do we know if Michael McCann is returning for the soundtrack in this one?
I think the majority of my first hours of playtime are going to go into doing stuff with the character pool.
[editline]10th December 2015[/editline]
Also we should set up a Facepunch force where we all customize ourselves in whatever way (like scientists, soldiers, etc) and have a uniform Red and White armor scheme. It'd be like our own Alien killing Legion.
If we do that, our sleeves and stuff should be white. The main part of the shirt should be red for obvious reasons.
