- If a unit is on overwatch and it takes damage, the overwatch is removed.
- Reloading takes only 1 action now, so you can effectively reload and fire.
If you guys don't want to deal with Kinguin and Nuuvem.. There's a french site that's selling the DDE for like $56 USD

Ugh I'm not sure whether to get this, or the steelbook edition.
http://www.nuuvem.com/item/xcom-2-digital-deluxe-edition
30 USD if anybody is looking to buy it.
I bought it for $28 this morning
http://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/xcom-2-pc-cd-key-steam
You can trust cdkeys, I bought shadow of mordor, just cause 3, and Arkham Knight from them
I hope they release the soundtrack on its own after launch. With EU they had it as a preorder bonus but never actually sold it after that.
Has anyone else here read XCOM2: Resurrection?

that's pretty huge change

Face Off: an ability that allows the sharpshooter to take a pistol shot at every visible enemy. Can be combined with lightning hands.
Yeah.
Found it pretty underwhelming to be quite frank. Started off well but imo it just kind of... ended. [sp]The "climactic" battle on board the Avenger didn't really feel all that climatic to me.[/sp]
It wasn't a total waste of money, but I certainly doubt I'd ever read it again.
I'm kinda sad that they seemingly haven't fixed the shooting from up close looking wonky as hell. It can't be that hard to just push the two models apart to avoid the whole "Missing a shot while your gun is literally inside the alien" thing. That and shooting straight through a solid wall.

That was the first thing that I'd say is 100% dissapointing about XCOM 2. Maybe there was an occassion where they aligned properly in a stream, but in all the videos I saw it's still the same. Oh well, it's not so big a deal I guess.

Hmm, not sure about those.
I would like a perk / attribute that ensures you won't lose an overwatch even if it's at a -% penalty.
At the same time I'd rather reloading and shoot in the same turn be a perk or at the very least have it tied to a class.
BUT I'll reserve judgement till iv'e actually played it.

Given other changes and additions they've made with regards to enemy types, abilities and difficulty I think it'll turn out pretty balanced how it is.
I really doubt I'll be using the shotgun with the ranger, at least early game. You don't have run and gun off the bat, so the whole point of the shotgun, getting in close for a flank and a super high crit chance is moot. The sword can be used like run and gun, so the class itself still fills that niche, but the shotgun would be redundant and less effective than the sword. In the gameplay videos, I keep see people that are basically one unit down for a turn because they can't get in shotgun range. I mean it looks like they buffed the range but it doesn't seem like it's enough if you don't have run and gun. Maybe I'll get a shotgun later-game when you unlock run-and-gun, but without it there's no point.

I'm pretty sure that it's because people keep talking about how the ranger should be the frontline soldier, and yet they don't put him on the frontline at all, and he slacks behind half of the time.
i mean that's more or less true for the assault as-is. with the exception of downed UFOs it was always a gamble in EU/EW when you equipped the shotgun because you might get a very airy, large map in which the shotgun becomes a liability. early game i almost always equipped assaults with a rifle because the shotgun really only pays dividends against month 3 or 4 enemies when the HP starts to stack up.
[editline]18th December 2015[/editline]
either way i think putting run & gun farther down the tech tree was a solid choice, it's probably one of the most impactful abilities in the game
I always found having a grenade or explosive on someone else, blowing up and picking off the straglers mid-to-close range with a shotgun a good strat, plus it rolls nice for a crit, something you need early game for harder difficulties when sectoids have like 4 HP which is harder to kill with a rifle.
I'm about to vomit blood.
Powered my way through to what I presume is the last level after using the gollop. Got right up to the final boss ethereal and I'm presuming other ethereals spawn with him.
Threw a scanner grenade in which triggered the cutscene but for some reason whatever enemies were supposed to be with him didn't actually spawn only their health bars showed up. Got to Alien turn and the game just outright froze.
Why the fuck autosave isn't on by default I'll never know.
Finally decided to pre-order X-com 2 at full price!
50% Because i want to support the Developers, and 90% because i was drunk as fuck.

A good enough reason!
I haven't preodrered yet, but I snagged the Special Edition of EU off Amazon. I already own the game, but I feel bad when I really like a game and only have a digital copy. I was to open it but I''m not sure.
when I got to the final boss I killed him before he got a single turn.
I think I did the same thing too. Both my snipers had squadsight and jetpacks so I flew them up to give them a height advantage and I used an assault with ghost armor to get vision on him and I killed it with a few crits

Idea: Regular size enemies with a dodge animation, and for bigger enemies a "miss" becomes 1HP of damage.

I really like that idea, replace missing something big and slow like a fucking secotpod with a glancing hit.

Late, but I found it impressive that when pressed up against an enemy with the Laser Rifle and the soldier misses, the laser is inverted in both directions, and doesn't even come from the Rifle.
