Damn, kind of hoped the sectopod would be more beefy. Doesn't look as intimidating as EU.
These huge enemies are great. The Faceless on the stream was fucking terrifying when you saw it next to a regular soldier and that thing looks almost 2 stories.

The description said that Domination was permanent for the mission (Unless it can be mind controlled back? That wasn't stated), or until your Psi Op dies or is MC'd themself, I guess.
I wonder if you can mind control sectoids and then mind control or raise zombies with it?
Just started playing X-COM Enemy Within, first one of the series I'm playing. Can someone explain a few things to me?
In terms of weaponry, are beams and lasers any better than the stock ones? Is there a time limit in terms of how many days can go by? What country makes the best starting location? I chose Asia.
Overall, I like it. I just don't want to bungle my first playthrough because I probably won't have the time to replay it for a while.

In vanilla every tier of weapons are better than the previous. Someone here played through an entire campaign with only using ballistic weapons.

Our very own Nick debunked that theory when he finished an entire playthrough with ballistic weaponry.

That would be fucked up if you could do that then use a medkit on it to stabilize it back into a living human

So far there's Ballistics, Magnetic, and Plasma, haven't seen anything aside from that.
Though the game is supposed to be highly moddable so hopefully that includes stuff like textures and models so we can have a team of Rangers who all look like Mace Windu.
That walker thing looks extremely fragile TBH. Look at that extremely stubby leg connector, swing at that shit with your techno sword and off goes the leg
