I guess I've been playing too much XCOM: Apocalypse, given hybrids exist in that game, and are my allies.
Must be getting soft.
What if there are aliens just as disgruntled about the alien hegemony as humans are?
What if there are aliens just as disgruntled about the alien hegemony as humans are?
Are you implying non-Human scum can feel anything other than bullets?
Preposterous!
Where are the Commissars and inquisitors when you need them the most.
All this heresy talk about hybrids is of great disturbance
I'm kinda curious to see just how much the aliens have integrated themselves into human life. Do the aliens sit up in towers somewhere and look at the human peasants, or do they socialize and mingle with the common folk?
I hope someone makes a Stargate modification for XCOM2.

Shifty Muton trying to sell illegal adrenaline shots on the streets
Sectoid mind-controlling a shopkeep to get better prices
Floaters being arrested for violating restricted airspace

Rewind video seemed to imply they were basically in the shadows, mostly just enforcing their rule through the ADVENT.
If there is the option of actually having soldiers which are like, hybrids of their human aspect with an alien species, I will just kick them out. I am not having some half-xenos in my XCOM squad, no way, no how, filthy half-xenos, failing to fully comprehend their human potential.
Well enjoy losing. HARD.
no xenos allowed in XCOM period
Except in the X-COM containment facility.
Where instead of ruling the Earth, the Sectoids now desire to rule the illegal drug trade by forming up rival prison gangs.
I hope someone makes a Stargate modification for XCOM2.
Ya see I can imagine this several ways. SGC, Invasion of earth, Atlantis, My personal favourite; Playing wraith, with the hiveship being your command centre. Though I suppose being a system lord could make for some interesting gameplay.
Well enjoy losing. HARD.
I'm gonna take you up on that. If there is actually Hybrid soldiers in XCOM and if you have the ability to get rid of them, we'll talk again.
I kinda think you'd have a hard time convincing your soldiers to take this alien-splicing shit
'now, Rachel, clause 23 of your contract dictates that at the comander's whim, we replace your legs and everything up to your waist with a snake tale. Say goodbye to your boyfriend, and for the love of God don't get pregnant.'
Well, considering that we can change Soldier's gender now with a button, I think more heretical commanders could change their gender to snek as well.

Man, have you SEEN the reaction to ms. snakeytits?
Her boyfriend would fucking love it.
I honestly hope that we can use hybrids in XCOM 2. Why?
So they can soak up all of the plasma instead of human soldiers, of course. Operation snek shield is authorized...
Attach bomb collars to the Pectoids and tell them to go hug an Ethereal

Look for snake genitals on the internet.
Give us an update of your opinion when you're done.
Note to anyone using the Facepunch namelist: You will have to omit "[Green]" because yaml-cpp doesn't like it (openXcom only).
[editline]e[/editline]
Or just remove the brackets.

wait
XCOM 2 being all low-tech and stuff doesn't make any sense
they have a flying aircraft carrier
but they can't build anything like a MEC
i don't understand

I believe the idealized fantasy of those kind of hybrids (mermaids ect) include normal human sex organs, unless you're actually a fucked up weirdo who wants snake vaginas or something.
All this talk of genetic modification makes me want to make more MEC Troopers.
All this talk of genetic modification makes me want to make more MEC Troopers.
Who needs gene-splicing when you can rocket punch a sectoid through three cars?
Thread heresy levels reaching DOUBLE HERESY.
At this point, we need an Eversor Assassin to deal with everything.
[editline]9th June 2015[/editline]
Also, Turn Based WH40K squad tactics game would be cool.

And Ideally, the sexy things wouldn't be trying to kill us. I'm not sure about putting them in the 'idealized' camp. (especialy since mermaids and nagas and whatever typically have human heads and human skin on the top half, as opposed to the full-monster we have)
Yep, if there were a scaly version of the fury scale, we'd be deep in the danger zone.
I'm hoping to see a mod that's playing the flipside of Enemy Unknown. Instead of research, you just get points like in multiplayer (which are rewarded by successful abductions/terror missions), letting you bring more/better units on abduction missions. Fielding better ships and crews for landings (or being intercepted). You could pick abduction sites, or if you "save up" you can mount a terror attack. As XCOM progresses, (correlating to your losses?) they start mounting their major missions which you have to defend.
I guess the goal would be to destroy XCOM in a base assault mission (since interceptors are placed everywhere, XCOM has a presence on every continent. perhaps you could need to destroy XCOM's presence on every other continent before HQ?) or cause a majority of countries to panic.
I think it'd be cool. Hard to come up with rules for the aliens to play by though.
