Oh god no They called the Evolved Berzerker a her.
The way he said it made it sound like he was specifically told to say "her" at some point because reasons.
Jesus titty fucking Christ, I cannot wait for this to come out. OH GOD MY DIIIIIICK
The way he said it made it sound like he was specifically told to say "her" at some point because reasons.
The 2K Social Manager loves the porny fan art the community is coming up with?
I fucking missed it. Did anyone record it?
I wonder if we'll be able to hack MECs and take them back with us to the AVENGER. Makes more sense than making new ones. Eitherway, I'm so hyped right now. The next few months are going to be painfully long.
I tried the alien base and failed, and reloaded and now it's the other layout.
[t]http://4o3.nl/5586f.png[/t] Ladies and Gentlemen, Bradford 2035. (Wow what a top post)
Bradford has been really hardened by his time as Insurgent Coordinator. I kinda miss old Bradford.
I wonder when the youtube videos of the gameplay will go up.
Slightly dissapointed that Bradford didn't keep his sweater. Right now I think he looks somewhere between a badass and a old grumpy bastard that used to drink heavily each time he lost a man but started getting over it somewhere along the line. I am OK with this. Also new berzerker HYPE! The white stuff on it (is it really a her?) looks like some sort of biological armour. I can't think what the new predator mouth if for, though.
Fuck, I missed the stream. Anyone mind breaking it down for me?
Aliens look pretty OP. and good job to the IGN guy for asking him about things that seemed out of place for regular X-COM gameplay. Also; Does this mean that you have to drag alien corpses back to autopsy them?
I'm completely fine with his design but they fucked his voice and lost the sweater, key elements to Bradford's character.
Now to wait for the non-live upload so I can actually watch it, because I was busy.
I fucking missed it. Did anyone record it?
oh god yes please a recording or a ytube video or something
Fuck, I missed the stream. Anyone mind breaking it down for me?
Proceduralley generated everything, from how the maps flow to where the objective is. XCOM agents have virtual wanted posters and civs dont trust you. Full customization of operatives, accents for different nationalities. You can hack enemy turrets with varying degrees of effectiveness (Disabled, to advanced aim and firepower). ADVENT automated MECs and the Muton Berserker has been eating her wheaties. Shes huge now and also did I mention apparently it's a she? Carry people back to the skyranger, whose extraction point can be placed, to recover the unit and their gear. Aliens can get reinforcements during the mission. ADVENT soldiers don't bleed red. One of the ADVENT front men appears to be a Thin Man.
So, still doing Long War when it gives me the mission involving the cargo ship with [sp]the beached whale full of Chrysashits.[/sp] Let me tell you a story about how this mission fucked me over twice because no matter how you slice it, discovering six Chrysalids at a time and having them all dashshit their way into the face of every squad member is not a very fun thing to have. I avoided save scumming, so I had two mission attempt prior. The first had the infamous six and it all went downhill in two seconds flat. The second time I played slow and steady, but got slaughtered on the evacuation. So round three, since I don't back out of these missions, I'd figure I'd send one of the remaining redshirt PFCs in to call the strike while the others sit back. Now, let me mention that I only got this far because I bumrushed to one of the towers in the fish stand and turned this game into a legitimate tower defense. And at one point, thanks to excellent XCOM mechanics, one of the Chrysalids managed to jump up there without activating anyone's overwatch nor my Assault's close combat specialist and killed a redshirt who we had to then put down after she re-arose and slapped my Assault unit in the face. It was not going very well, and around half way through my brilliant hold-the-tower approach, some thin mints showed up and disabled my only SHIV (RIP: XENOFUCKER-1-4.) So the mission is down to five, and I follow through with my plan. I figure, hey - maybe ol' Felipe from some country I don't recognize might make the run back after calling in the air strike, but I'm not about to risk any good units to help him. Now the reason I picked Felipe for the suicide mission is because he was good at hauling ass. And when I say that, I meant he had three Chrysalids tailing him all the way home. And then he was almost in sight. Fuck it - this guy earned a break, so I have my gunner, support, engineer, and redshirt #3 run up to ledge to provide cover. We downed all three on his tail, plus one more, and got the fuck out of dodge. Then the game gets bugged on a "DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE? YOU ARE LEAVING 2 PEOPLE BEHIND" after my victory with the result screen behind it, but somehow through sheer stubbornness of fisting my keyboard, unbugged it. RIP: Lauren Sterling, you British redshirt. You didn't do much and you threw a haymaker at the person who carried the whole mission and is getting a promotion. [sp]And who was also assigned the nickname "Socks" which is almost too good for me to change.[/sp]

demo was a bit constrained, i was hoping they'd show lots more :/
demo was a bit constrained, i was hoped they'd show lots more :/
Honestly you shouldn't have expected more than an XCOM Styled tutorial. Still, I'm satisfied with what we've got.

Found this in case anyone missed the thing.
Has anyone ever watched VanguardOfValor's playthroughs of Long War? In addition to having a voice like an angel, he's pretty sharp, and makes very few stupid mistakes. I don't think he's lost a single soldier through the entire playthrough, and I think it's on the highest difficulty, in ironman, too. [editline]15th June 2015[/editline] Have to say, one thing I'm not too happy about in that video of Xcom 2 is the fact that enemies who are inserted into the map can attack in the same turn. It means something like a squad of mutons or Chrysalids can be dropped in practically in the middle of your squad, and without giving you a chance to react or take cover can destroy the entire unit instantly.

It's just done to show off gameplay.

Been playing through this match and something is (feels) definitely, objectively fucky with the hit chance in LW. 85% 83% 73% 85% 82% 56% 79% What do all these numbers have in common? They were consecutive misses.
Does anybody know what waypoints are? They've mentioned them once or twice but haven't really explained what they mean.
