rude manchild
you are so much better
:/
there's no good reason to put a nice guy who's doing their best to promote your youtube channel in the hotseat over something like XCOM EU's multiplayer launch. a PR person is a human being walking an awkward line between their employer and consumers and it's not really fun, for me at least, to watch someone throw curveballs at them, especially when it's obvious stuff like the demo being staged. of course it was! and i think joe acts like a spaz, i'm not into it.

but if you want to personally take a dig at me on joe's behalf that's cool
but if you want to personally take a dig at me on joe's behalf that's cool
I mean, you just called a dude a "rude manchild". And I mean, someone's gotta ask the questions. Hell, it's the PR people's jobs to be in such situation.

Your comment felt a little out of place, is all. I don't think he "put him in the hotseat", it's just Joe doing his job. And Garth handled it very nicely. Hell, maybe they'll actually listen and put a tiny bit more effort in fixing multiplayer bugs before release.
Also I really don't know what you mean by "curveballs". The guy's just asking honest questions.

The Interviewer should throw a curveball and ask the hard questions.
Someone posted an interview the other day from E3 where the same guy got interviewed, and in the whole video he said absolutely nothing that wasn't in the E3 preview, and that's because the questions were just superficially similar to things which had been in the preview/teaser, only hoping they'd get more out of him.
I stopped watching that after a few minutes because it bored me to tears and was a waste of my time.

He was hella rude but problem with majority of reviewers is that they put zero effort into actually getting things answered, ask completely irrelevant bullshit that's obvious at first glance and generally achieve nothing but get us a voiced repetition of what we already knew from the stuff the game producer announced openly.
He should definitely ease down a bit, stop interrupting rudely, and stop making the PR person uncomfortable with "your last game had broken MP at release" but asking the painful questions and not letting them misdirect is what lot more press needs to do.

jesus christ, thank you, literally all i was saying was that
"is multiplayer gonna be broken as shit on release dawwwwg"
maybe be better asked as
"is there greater going to be additional focus on multiplayer this time around"
and not everyone thinks joe's attitude is charming

See, what you just posted is a hell of a lot better than
rude manchild
which really doesn't say more than "joe is a big meanie >:c"
Angry Joe is super overbearing in his videos, unfortunately it seems he doesn't drop the act when he does interviews also.
I like AngryJoe, I just think he gets a bit... over excited? Like whenever I see him do an interview or anything related to being around people, he acts like he just drank several energy drinks and possibly a shot of tequila.
I agree with his MP question though. It was honest, and sure, honesty is rude; but y'know whats worse? Being sold broken shit at full price.
The guy being interviewed knew what to expect since he has seen his Angry Revie on XCOMEU. If you watch any one review of his you can already know what to expect from interviews and that's what makes him interesting to watch for me. He's not perfect obviously but at least he is putting all effort and shows genuine interest to interviewer and audience when talking about a game.
They still didn't fix Mac/PC compatibility. So the questions were relevant.

To be fair, with a name like "Angry Joe" conducting an "Angry Interview" I expected it to be gimmicky to a degree.
I really don't care how bad the game might be. For all I care we could just be fighting advent and five other aliens. With the ability to make total conversions, nothing can go wrong.
I'm late to the party but I don't think Angry Joe was really that rude in his interview outside of the multiplayer thing. But to be fair he wasn't wrong about how broken it was, and saying it in any other way would have reduced the impact of his point.
he's also the only fucking interview to get any semblance of new information out of the whole thing, so I'd say that's a win.
Long War B15e is out officially, btw.
I'm trying to figure out how to edit specific INI stuff but I'm fucking clueless. (for LW btw)
Wanna shorten repair times, lower EXALT HP and get rid of fatigue.

Got a link to the patch notes?

The team behind Long War is apparently starting a kickstarter for a new game they call Terra Invictus.

I've already forgotten that name. How generic can you get?

All it needs is a subtitle beginning with re- and it's complete.
Punching EXALT assholes with a MEC is so satisfying. Are Gene Mods even worth it?

Nothing beats a sniper with mimetic skin and low profile.

The regenerative bone marrow mod is pretty boss.

Should be easy to find, although I can tell you a couple of the changes off the top of my head.
1. Doorn has his own Firaxis provided voicepack now
2. There's a motion tracker that you can build (pretty nifty)
3. More second wave options, such as never having to deal with EXALT or starting off with a squad size of 8.

there's also a second wave option that reduces enemy numbers on missions by 40% and UK soldiers now have english accents (might be mistaken but irish and scottish are already in?)
i wonder if the +2 squad second wave option means you start with Squad Size 2 already research or you can go up to 10?

I tested it out. You start with 8 and that's all you get. Basically, it's something that should have been a starting bonus instead of a second wave option. Not that I'm complaining, of course.
bummer

Little bit of useful data:
Analysis:
-First bit of data on base mechanics - similar to EU, but more 'cheek-to-jowl', for lack of a better word.
-They will go into detail on the Grenadier and Sharpshooter 'probably... sometime soon'.
-Reinforcements are procedural.

Can't even find it through Google :v:
Are the new classes reworked old classes (ranger = assault). Or do they exist along side the previous classes. Or are they part of a tree (assault upgrades into ranger/something).
