Oh god it all went so wrong
This is really one of the most depressing streams I have seen, this is really sad as even the damn game is fucking him over.
I can't believe that just happened. You couldn't script this shit if you tried.
Utter proof that Long War's mechanics are ridiculously broken.
I just watched that and jesus christ. Do people actually derive enjoyment from this?
This is basically if the Germans launched a surprise attack on the Allies right before D-day, destroyed around half of the equipment, and then the Allies carried on with the invasion anyways.
As someone who was for the most part okay with LWs changes this has pretty much flipped my entire view. Im glad Beagles moving onto his own mod after this is done because after that I'd never be able to play a new LW campaign again. Christ JL.
Just saying, man. I've seen it here for the last fifty pages. It's running dryer than the government funding. Fine. It's not like that stops people, anyway. Congratulations. Maybe if you took a toe's test into the internet aside here, you'd get some callus. But anyway, yeah. Those swamplands in Japan, eh? Funny stuff. Good thing the whole "uni-city" design ADVENT has brought kinda solves any sort of inaccuracy with architecture, given it's THE FUTURE, and all. Extra biomes sorta fixes the rest of it all, too. [editline]16th July 2015[/editline] Oi. So the crazy fucker decided to change his mind, huh? Can't wait.
suggestion: just stop now and save yourself ridicule
Utter proof that Long War's mechanics are ridiculously broken.
I started uninstalling LW halfway through the slaughter :v:.
Now alot of people are turned of by LW's bullshit but I would like to point out that there are a couple factors that makes this exceptionally disastrous and severe. 1)Beagle's strategy game hasn't been too hot, the aliens are probably close to their temple ship counterparts right now. And him letting the aliens free reign to loot the world while he left it to burn also means that this is close to the maximum amount of boss units they could field in one mission 2)He got really unlucky with the initial troops he got, none of them are really heavy hitters. Not a LW specific problem as you could get a bad roll in vanilla too Conversely, that might have also saved his campaign since his heavy hitters like Dorne and his MECs were spared the fate of these poor suckers from the last wave.
It happened. The miss. My anal virginity has been taken. RIP Orkel, you were good for the one mission that I took you on.
It happened. The miss. My anal virginity has been taken. RIP Orkel, you were good for the one mission that I took you on.
you died in my playthrough you had missed a thin man at close range rip
Today in multiplayer a Thin Mint managed to miss a 100% shot against my completely-flanked point-blank Sectoid Commander. Hilarity ensued
Wait guys i left the stream the second the carrier hit beagle's base (i had to sleep god damn it) What happened, exactly? What were the losses?
Wait guys i left the stream the second the carrier hit beagle's base (i had to sleep god damn it) What happened, exactly? What were the losses?
Squad wipe including AlexD and Defwen, lost half his equipment, only killed 9 ayys. Just watch it and see a man slowly come to terms with his first wipe in months. Still charging on into Temple Ship next week
I just rewatched the E3 gameplay trailer and I noticed Bradford was gone. I had no idea how I missed it the first time. I'm sad now, I liked the guy.
I just rewatched the E3 gameplay trailer and I noticed Bradford was gone. I had no idea how I missed it the first time. I'm sad now, I liked the guy.
they announced him tho?
He's not though, he is the guy who keeps talking to the soldiers, he is even show looking at a bunch of screens in the beginning.
What? Really? That's him? He looks so different. Sounds different too. If they keep his name I'm k then.
What? Really? That's him? He looks so different. Sounds different too. If they keep his name I'm k then.
Yeah it's him, the voice they used is not the same guy who voiced bradford in XCOM:EU and we don't know if he is going to voice him again or not.
And he lost the signature sweater. I still don't think I'm a fan, he looks like a veteran frontliner as opposed to a strategist. Also his hair's black instead of brown now for some reason
Not the vest! It was the best part of his outfit imo
I thought he wore a goofy looking green sweater with an xcom badge. I haven't played XCOM EU in a while.
I thought he wore a goofy looking green sweater with an xcom badge. I haven't played XCOM EU in a while.
He did, that's his XCOM2 design. This is his XCOM EU design
I thought he wore a goofy looking green sweater with an xcom badge. I haven't played XCOM EU in a while.
Ay now, that thing is great, it ain't goofy by a mile.

Hair is probably dyed, you know, evasion 101.
Maybe they went the Star Trek route of sending the single most important person in the entire building on a raid.
I was tarding around with porting models from Unreal to SFM, and I knew what I had to do... [T]http://i.imgur.com/Q3Qt8n1.jpg[/T] “And I was all “CLOSE RANGE?!?” and–” “i know, i was there, you were talking to me” “And then everyone got on board the Skyranger and–” “i want to go home”
I kinda wish XCOM EU/EW gave you an option in Ironman to restart missions. Ironman worked better in UFO Defense because you had like 10 guys per mission and things were easier that way, there was pretty much no point in not going Ironman on your first playthrough.
I like the new Bradford look, he has a nice "I fucking hate aliens" look to him. I still hope he retains those goofy but serious Central Officer Bradford way of talking.
Ay now, that thing is great, it ain't goofy by a mile.
It doesn't mean it's a bad thing, I think it's pretty great too. Not much of a fan of the new outfit though.
