I've got a soldier who ended up with your name, his stats are totally abysmal in everything except movement. Decided to make a Run & Gun sonic-speed suicide soldier out of him with Vest, SMG, and no items.

No I didn't change anything (I don't even know how to). It seems to me that most rooks start at 75-80 aim which is something I would like to say is a tab bit op for rooks.

I think some of them are cute.
Classic Ironman and literally every single soldier that got up to Major has gotten a medic skill... except for the only support I have out of [B]6[/B] heavies who has all sorts of crazy ass combat skills. Randomized skill trees are really fun but when they fuck you over on the only single-choice Major rank skill it's maddening.

I replaced the tac vest with the covert operative outfit for my game a while ago. It's pretty rad.

Is my game broken? I've gotten nothing but Heavies and Snipers for atleast 13/15 Rookie>Squaddie soldiers, with heavies consisting of atleast 80% of the rankups. It's Ironman so I can't even reload to retry class selection either.

You have to play in a way that favors heavies and snipers. This means using holotargeting to give your snipers an aim bonus on everything.

I sent a steam message to his family informing them of his death.
Every time someone says SHIV I think they mean Chiv and that they put me in their game from the name lottery and I get excited.
Losing soldiers feels like real failure.
Speaking of SHIVs, it'd be neat if we could eventually upgrade them into unmanned mech troopers in XCOM 2 since the presence of actual MEC troopers is less than likely.
It'd make for a neat progression tree and would make them more of an attractive choice in the base game. You could also potentially give them a self-developing AI, which would be a good excuse for allowing them to rank up and choose different tactical skills.
