does this mean that the ocean is literally full of chryssalids in xcom 2

Not on Nigel's watch.
During this Long War campaign I've made a point of only customising soldiers who pull off the most legendary feats instead of going all out with the beautification on everyone. Only Nigel and The Jack have gotten to play dress-up so far.

Chrysalids have mutated into something part-aquatic, calling it now

???
Technically since XCOM never started to intervene with the Alien agenda, wouldn't that mean that they never started doing Terror missions?

It makes me really pleased to see you say that about me.
Do I have nice hair?

that could definitely be true, lids could be a totally new thing to Bradford
Do I have nice hair?
I wouldn't know, because you've got one of those awesome skull helmets.

First time I've encountered a Cyberdisk in Long War. Was a tense fight with two Critically Wounded and everyone left under 4HP, aside from that it was almost disgustingly successful.

9 aliens in a terror mission?
9 aliens in a terror mission?
That's heresy for LW.
9 aliens in a terror mission?
18/18 civies saved in a terror mission?
I call shenanigans.

Quick & Dirty, because I'm bad at this game and I want to be finished before XCOM 2 comes out.
[editline]24th July 2015[/editline]
It sounds less nooby if you think of it as XP rationing.

I have quick and dirty turned on and I get more aliens than you do :v
Look at these fuckers, all of them. I wanna give them all medals:

Finn 'Diesel', Norwegian. Yep, checks out.
Well that was the easiest council mission ever.
Was a mission with nothing but thin mints as the enemy.
...
At a stage in the game when i'm fielding titan armour and plasma as standard.
I felt like a goddamn janitor :v:
I don't think it would even.

Do robots hear the aliens occasionally also? The usual "What the hell was that?"

The easiest one has to be the one at the petrol station with nothing but sectoids.
Killed every one of them with my four psi ability soldier powers.
Who's hyped for tonights Temple Ship assault by Beagle?
I forget, does Gangplank give panic reduction?
Man, wouldn't it be fucking amazing if XCOM 2 had co-op? I dunno about Geoscape stuff, but playing the Battlescape with your buddy controlling half of the squad would be amazing what with the level of depth that XCOM 2 is apparently getting.
And it works well with the way you start with 4 units only, pretty even split going on. I'd like to see upgrading squad size work in increments of 2 so that both players have 2, 3 and 4 units each as the game advances.
So this is back up now.
But the Muton is still a brute in close combat. Their weapons are equipped with bayonets, and the Mutons won’t hesitate to close in on your soldiers to use them. And the Muton has the ability to Counterattack as well. Every Muton has a chance to ignore melee damage and instantly respond with a melee strike of their own. Rangers should keep this in mind when going in for the kill.
:suicide:
So what exactly is the point of melee combat? You need to run up close to an enemy in a game that is famous for murdering your men from a distance, to hit them with a weapon that, realistically, should be weaker than a ranged weapon, and at least one enemy can no-sell and then counter your melee attack?
What's the benefit?

Things like this is beginning to make rangers seem less like blade toting operators and more like mall ninjas in over their heads

Same as the rocket fist for MECs
No ammo expenditure and probably a far greater chance to hit
Man, why can't it be November already?

Take note, chryssalids and berserkers do as much damage with 1 hit as much as a plasma rifle.
