Almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
Also I never really get bed complaints unless there is shortage. Then I fix it, they complain for the day, then they stop complaining.
I read somewhere that if any settlement has issues with beds/foods/water you'll get people in other settlements complaining about it. Not sure if that's true or not though. Really wish there was somewhere with an in depth explanation of all the settlement stuff.

Your post made me realize that even the DLC that was entirely based around "SCIENCE! JUST DO IT!" in NV had more exposition and better reasoning about why Big MT and Mobius did all they did than the entirety of Fallout 4
That's kind of sad

we noticed. we just ain't complaining about it because it isn't an issue. Bethesda did their homework with voice acting in this game (save for the main characters, which is funny) and we're not going to niptick good stuff to complain over all the other stuff that needs to be adressed

Too bad the extremely poor texture streaming frequently ruins them.
It'd clip really badly if they didn't do otherwise.
It wouldn't be a problem however if they hadn't been so dickish with the ballistic weave options, there's just no rationality to some of them, like why the army fatigues but not the gunner harness? etc
Maybe, but they went through the effort to create a system to re-layer armor based on uniform size...why not instead design a system that lightly tucks uniform polygons under armor? I also don't think clipping issues would be very severe even without tucking.
Also I know this is just your specific example, but the gunner harness might not take ballistic weave because it doesn't cover half of your chest :v:

I really appreciate all the songs having multiple introductions, it's a lot less repetitive when the song gets a different intro. Also having him make comments about playing songs before is good too.
It reminds me of GTA3 where the end of the Chatterbox audio Lazlow would comment doesn't have a reset button "but this show does!", while the track starts with him saying "Ah, I love that button."
If you are (end game spoilers) [sp]within the ranks of the brotherhood and do the minutemen ending, can you still do BoS quests after the game is over?[/sp]
Is there a fix for very, very slow texture load by the way? I know it's not my HDD (FO4 is the only game with this problem), is this an engine problem?

I recently turned off the radio and started listening to the ingame score, its really nice.
I find it weird there never was Synth of [sp]your wife/husband[/sp]
Or maybe it is DLC who knows.
By the way, it's out of left field a bit, but I seriously recommend adding the following to your Fallout4.ini
[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=cl rim 0.002
This will tone the rimlight way down and make the shading of objects in shadow more accurate. It also makes peoples' faces look less greasy. It's what I used in the screenshot up top, to give you an idea of the results.
I can't wait for mods that expand the scope of settlement building. It'd be nice to be able to turn the Minutemen into a drug-manufacturing militant raider faction.

There are a couple of ambient tracks that sound like they'd fit better in an Elder Scrolls game. There are times when I'm out and it sounds like I've stumbled into Skyrim.

I just did the USS Constitution quest with Hancock as my follower. I have heard the words "Huh, I just figured I hallucinated this thing" almost 50 times over the last hour or so.

Looks like the armor formula was decoded, just quoting for general interest
Mult = ((Visible Damage)/(Damage Resistance))0.366 *0.5
If your weapon's Damage is big compared to the enemy's DR, the Mult will be very close to 1 and nearly all the damage gets through.
If your weapon's Damage is much less than the enemy's DR, the Multiplier will be closer to 0 and only a small percentage of the damage will get through.
It's actually quite the clever system, and a rather elegant combination of Fallout 3's straight Damage Resistance and Fallout NV's Damage Threshold model.
Haven't seen an armor system that intricate since Morrowind, honestly unexpected coming from Bethesda.
Would also explain why legendary enemies can blast right through your armor if you're in the range of 50-100 armor. Seems that armor values around 1-20 are basically worthless, and once you start getting into the 50-100 range you're generally "well protected." If you want to reliably negate damage from deathclaws and heavy-hitters like that you need an armor rating in the 300 range or so.
IMHO power armor spawns should be contextual and not RNG + scaling. T45 should be found on small military organizations like the minutemen and the rail road. T51 should Be found on military installations and T60 should be found with the BoS and in deadlier military posts. It would have made a lot of sense if X-01 was associated with the institute.
Except the institute in their smugness seems to have completely ignored power armor all together

The t-51 really does show its age compared to the t-60 and x-01
But its the suit that broke china
They ignored it because it makes no sense for them to use it, their gen 1 & 2 synths are just mass produced pawns, and the gen 3s that are sent out to fight are coursers, which are capable of taking massive amounts of punishment, on top of that they have ways of avoiding enemy fire such as invisibility and super human reflexes.
china thought that they didn't need power armor because they were invisible
how wrong they were

I personally like it because it has the least ridiculous shoulder pads of the bunch. And the design is a lot cleaner in general
T-45 and 60 are too industrial-looking for my tastes, and while the X0-1 is awesome (how could you hate that monstrous walking tank of a PA), it looks silly in cutscenes.
the T-51 helmet is stupid tho

and with Cait, she always says, "jeez, did a bulldozer run through this place or somethin?" One time, it actually made me laugh, because there was literally a bulldozer in the room.
I don't understand the T-60 tbh. Nothing about it makes much sense. The game still states that the T-51 was the most advanced suit of power armour that the pre-war US had, but then there's the T-60 which is apparently better and was also deployed before the war? And despite being deployed before the war, it's only ever been seen in Boston. Plus why would it look more like the T-45 instead of building upon the T-51 or have an entirely brand new design? That last one can just be put down to Bethesda trying to push their own vision of power armour though, but it just seems weird.
I wish the unique power armor pieces were actually good. I just got the Piezonucleic power armor torso, but my X-01 is still tons better.
