Them's the breaks when you go full on West Coast again, all that sweet technology you just looted from the Enclave? All heretical.
I mean really, it would have been cool to see the higher ups in X-01 or something, and would have been a better way of introducing the armour, instead of it popping up randomly in places it shouldn't be, and then the Elder would have got a suit of X-02, but that's an idea for the old East Coast.
Fucking Maxson.
[editline]edit[/editline]
I mean technically speaking the Tesla weapon itself IS a pre-war weapon, it's just they probably refuse to make more to please the West Coast or something, like you'd think in ten years they would have had a few more or developed new technology based on it, but again west coast ideals getting in the way...
It feels like I'm reading an eastside/westside rant

EAST SIDE FO LIFE YO.
IIRC someone in 3 was really pissed that they were making new technology from pre-war tech.
"Why would people improvise and make technology to help themselves in a destroyed world? That makes zero sense!"
It's a shame Ronnie Shaw isn't a companion, I really like her voice/personality.
Just pacify a Radscorpion. You'll get the same experience.
Neat, who made it?
you know, I think beacon and FlyingDog made it because he/she might be making a mod that adds a cybernetics wing, why else would he/she post "wink wink" at what I said?
edit: but seriously, it would be sweet to have eyes that highlight living things (like the power armor upgrade) or have night vision, or an augmented arm that gives you +1/2 STR.

But seriously though, yes despite the fact people thought of the BoS under Lyons to be a bit of a bunch of goody two shoes at least they progressed and actually grew as an organisation.
I much preferred the East Coasts more progressive slant to the total reset in ideals with Maxson slanted towards the West Coast BoS.

hey at least she has a personality at all
plus she's kinda a badass
those two things alone make her better than presto gravy
those two things along make her better than presto gravy
Not like it's hard to be better than Preston in anyway
If anything its amazing how Bethesda managed to make a "big" character so incredibly boring
I had my share of problems with characters from F3 and Skyrim but even there nothing came close to the waste of pixels that Preston is
Also to the guy asking about no factories after 200 years, well, the gun runners are kind of one

That and the brotherhood HAS to have a factory(factories), either refurbished or re-purposed from the Enclave, to have produced something like the Prydwen in less than 8 years.
Preston "gave" me a cool jacket so he's not totally lame

Reminds me of Planescape Torment, where you actually replace your eyeball to gain some of your memories back.

I want a laser revolver so badly right now. It could work similarly to the musket. You have to spin the barrel to charge it up. Tap reload and it spins really quick, gaining the first three shots really quickly, then slowing down until stopping for the last three. That way you could stop the reload early and still have shots but if you wanted all six you'd have to wait. Similar to reloading the rounds in a real revolver.
They push the game out before they could populate it with all the quests it should have.
Nah they really just like designing their games like this. It's kind of shitty, lacks creativity, and super conservative but that's pretty much what I hear their development structure is like. It's a super tight production scedule that is very regimented and has a very specific flow to it, that frankly doesn't really allow for too many crazy concepts. Everything is focused on producing locations that reinforce the main gameplay loop the game is about without much energy put into stuff outside of that. Ever since oblivion the main focus of their games have been dungeon-centered so 99% of quests/locations/events/etc involve "dungeons" within the open world. Why? because that's what is fun, and what most players end up only bothering with anyways. They want to make the main gameplay loop as easily available as possible, and therefore focus all of their level design, questing, narrative, etc to support it.
From the very start of a project they produce a list of locations, what enemy types are in each location, and what architectural style it is. It literally starts with "Okay time to make elder scrolls 6. Here's a list of 200 dungeons. Lets figure out where they go.". There simply isn't time to stretch creativity too much because they want to keep things simple and smooth during development, and the whole game from the bottom up is based around POI's.
Bethesda logic, let's have multiple different entries for one setting - even if they share a value.
Prime example
fDirShadowDistance= 20000
fShadowDistance= 20000
or the stuff for the decals
iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=
iMaxDecalsPerFrame=
uMaxDecals=
bDecals=
bSkinnedDecals=
uMaxSkinDecals=
uMaxSkinDecalsPerActor=

I can only assume that when they first started, they didn't have so many redundant entries. But as they made more and more stuff, they needed new, more specific, entries and thus redundancy came in. But somewhere along the line, someone said "These do basically the same thing" and merged them into one thing.
I kinda regret not exploring lexington on my first playthrough, I'm doing it now and there's actually a fair amount of buildings to loot
Is it possible to make a full-auto gauss rifle with that weapon mod thing?
How worthwhile of a perk is blitz if you're a stealth character?
I'm already where I want to be in terms of long-range stealth kills, and now I want to improve my melee options (and take advantage of that 10x sneak damage)
Why is the settlement builder so fucking restrictive and dumb
I want to make a wall around 3 pieces high but no fuck you unless you're straight-up building a house
Can helmets be in legendary quality? And not just any helmet, I mean any headgear.
I totally dig Maxson's coat, but for some reason I want him to wear a set of the Midwestern BoS Power Armor. Maxson has no reason to have it but I want him to anyway.
maxson doesn't deserve that coat
Can helmets be in legendary quality? And not just any helmet, I mean any headgear.
Nope, but there is one(dunno if more) helmet that you can buy with legendary affix.
just wait till you guys get to the part where you overthrow him and become elder! ..oh wait.

Amazing, they can't detect you during the VATS attack, so you can be in front of them but further away, then attack with VATS and punch them in the face for a sneak attack.
Railroad [sp]So I wanted to know what would happen if I attacked them the first time I saw them, I wiped out the HQ, but PAM is still friendly, though she is standing here twirling her hands like shes in attack mode[/sp]
