jet also has completely different effects in both games so I'm not really seeing the issue obviously whatever 'jet' is in fallout 4 is different to whatever jet is in the other games
The Railroad armored coat gives me Metro 2033 flashbacks. it looks so damn good. Pretty damn neat. :v:
Judging her background it's fair to assume she's not exactly keen on talking about her youth to anyone, especially considering how bad her upbringing was.
this is just you filling in the gaps, this is like commenting on the inner life of a dust pan, anyone could make anything up to suit anything
also, don't know if it been mentioned but i had Valentine tagging along and i got the mysterious stranger in VATS and afterwards Valentine says something along the lines of "That was the Mysterious Stranger! where did he go?!" pretty damn neat :v:
You can also find a case file about him in Valentine's office. [editline]13th December 2015[/editline]
this is just you filling in the gaps, this is like commenting on the inner life of a dust pan, anyone could make anything up to suit anything
She [sp]got sold into slavery by her abusive parents[/sp] why would she ever want to talk about that
Found a god damn Jaggles the Moon Monkey bandanna. This is the only one I've ever found across two characters on 90+ hours of gameplay.
Cait is Moriarity's illegitimate child :v:
Is there already a mod that makes all basic gun mods (short barrel, standard receiver/magazine/stock) free to build ? It's the fastest way to strip a gun of all cool mods but the fact it costs resources is a bit annoying.
She [sp]got sold into slavery by her abusive parents[/sp] why would she ever want to talk about that
except she does?? that's how you and i both know? but gosh after everything she tells the PC im sure we couldn't handle anything about Ireland, or you know, literally anything else about her
Cait is Moriarity's illegitimate child :v:
She might as well be considering her upbringing :v: [editline]13th December 2015[/editline]
except she does?? that's how you and i both know? but gosh after everything she tells the PC im sure we couldn't handle anything about Ireland, or you know, literally anything else about her
But she doesn't want to talk about it further than that and that's why you don't know. Considering how fleshed out characters like Valentine and Deacon are, Cait not talking more about her youth is a conscious decision and not an oversight. She doesn't talk more about it for the same reason you can't romance Deacon.
you are overthinking this so much
The shotgun is a wise investment.
anyone know places filled with nuka cola or its variants ever since I got [sp]buddy[/sp] theyve been great as healing items
you are overthinking this so much
Yeah the character is fleshed out and has a very specific background that she willingly tells you but I guess her not mentioning more details despite obviously hating this part of her life is Bethesda's oversight and them being absolutely fucking horrendous and not the character actually having some form of depth Valentine has a lot of depth and quite a lot of character development but I guess since he doesn't spend ten hours talking extensively about his memories as [sp]Nick Valentine the pre-war cop[/sp] then Bethesda is totally just being lazy and it's absolutely not Nick wanting to leave that behind and trying to distance himself from a part of his life he clearly states is really difficult to talk about and best left behind and forgotten.
You guys talking about last page about why Cats have not mutated. But what about Dogmeat and the other dogs in the games, why are they not mutated?
is it bad that i enjoy wearing the outfit of the guy who killed my wife
You guys talking about last page about why Cats have not mutated. But what about Dogmeat and the other dogs in the games, why are they not mutated?
You do find other dogs that have mutated though, to various degrees. Cats haven't mutated in fallout 4 because the only cats you find likely come from Vault 81 and haven't had the time to mutate.
I can't wait for a mod that actually makes you the general of the minutemen. You hear of a settlement that needs help by radio freedom. You send Preston and the other minutemen to help the settlements. Preston reports to you saying that the mission was successful/unsuccessful.
Exploring the glowing sea when Valentine just says that [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/388797370595790981/0A286F2EF833E74DF62DA626075D2F34014BD4A7/[/t] I don't think he meant that figuratively :v:
I honestly think the game would hugely have been benefited by dropping the voiced protagonist. There's the unintended consequences like "now all mods that add dialogue will have to make the player silent for responses because Brian T. Delaney and Courtenay Taylor aren't voicing mods" but by having voiced protags the game is actively dumbed down in character creation and plot. It's an excuse to cut dialogue choices, because if you add 2 more choices per dialogue wheel or one more ethnicity voice per gender and now you have an exponential amount of lines to record, store on disc, and pay for. You're limited in dialogue and thus gameplay choices because you can only be [kind] [dick] [neutral] or [question], so low intelligence runs have no impact on the story, having certain perks offer no dialogue choices, and you get L.A. Noire type dialogue where you pick one option yet get something completely unlike what you expected. You get Mass Effect dialogue wheel instead of Fallout 2 context sensitive and expansive choices for dialogue, which in my opinion isn't as satisfying, varied and immersive. Hell, why even give us character creation if we're basically playing plastic surgeon on a pre made character with a preset background. I can change what I look like, from my race, age, et cetera, as well as my name, but I'm always either a: • Pre-War army guy looking for his son with a white guy's bland voice, or a • Pre-War lawyer with a white lady's voice who's looking for her son yet is super combat trained even though she's a god damned lawyer. Then I'm not really creating my own character then am I? If I want to make my own character, it's instantly contradicted by the character's voice, inflection, tone, etc and that breaks immersion. I'm not playing as myself or the character I created, I'm playing as Bethesda's character voiced by generic white person who occasionally delivers cringeworthy lack-of-effort lines, at least with my experience with the male protag. You're given the tools to make your own character but the game's writing and voice acting lock you into a certain character. It's dumb. I knew it was dumb the moment it was announced.
You do find other dogs that have mutated though, to various degrees. Cats haven't mutated in fallout 4 because the only cats you find likely come from Vault 81 and haven't had the time to mutate.
im just saying but within two pages you've gone from "my explanation is that the cats all come from vault 81" to "cats most likely come from vault 81" like cmon dude thats my headcannon too but dont go around spouting it like facts
You guys talking about last page about why Cats have not mutated. But what about Dogmeat and the other dogs in the games, why are they not mutated?
I think the more important question is, why are there so few animals that haven't mutated? There are still plenty of (mostly) unmutated humans, yet almost every pre-war animal species is now extinct, replaced with a new mutated species. where did the cows go
im just saying but within two pages you've gone from "my explanation is that the cats all come from vault 81" to "cats most likely come from vault 81" like cmon dude thats my headcannon too but dont go around spouting it like facts
Actually other people mentioned vault 81 being the source of cats before I even came up with it and I just liked the idea so I adhered to it
That and when they open the door for you, a cat gets out, and the guard is like "Ugh, not again."
I think the more important question is, why are there so few animals that haven't mutated? There are still plenty of (mostly) unmutated humans, yet almost every pre-war animal species is now extinct, replaced with a new mutated species. where did the cows go
It's actually strongly implied (if not directly stated) in FO3 that all existing humans who aren't descended from Vault Dwellers are actually mutated/significantly genetically changed in comparison to Pre-War humans to withstand the extreme conditions of the wasteland. It just so happens that mutated humans just don't have two heads or giant egg sacks or something, while the cows and flies and other things haven't managed to keep up any sustainable, non-mutated bloodlines.
can we talk about how fucking stupid it was that a kid was stuck in a fridge for 200 years because i'm about to pop a testicle right now
Here's something interesting that I kind of unexpected, when you get the kidnapping radiant quests it actually takes a settler from your settlement, my doctor went missing from the stand (and I assumed it was just the stupid settlers not going to their stands) and when I went to the ration stockpile to rescue the settler, lo and behold there she was, lab coat and all.
I think the more important question is, why are there so few animals that haven't mutated? There are still plenty of (mostly) unmutated humans, yet almost every pre-war animal species is now extinct, replaced with a new mutated species. where did the cows go
Can't remember the source but it's explained that the aftermath of the nuclear strikes, the acid rains and nuclear winter caused countless species to disappear and/or mutate overnight.
Do any vendors sell customized combat knives? I want to get the stealth blade but don't want to waste two levels of blacksmith JUST for that.
can we talk about how fucking stupid it was that a kid was stuck in a fridge for 200 years because i'm about to pop a testicle right now
I'm pretty sure that's just part of the dumb whacky shit that happens in fallout and has happened since the first game.
I'm pretty sure that's just part of the dumb whacky shit that happens in fallout and has happened since the first game.
No, dumb whacky shit is finding Indiana Jones' skeleton in a fridge in the Mojave Wasteland and looting his hat, this is supposed to be a genuinely touching quest where you rescue a fucking magic ghoul child from a fridge in which he should have died and shriveled into dust but did not because Beth retconned the shit out of ghouls' physiology
