good lord. I hope you guys all realize that you are arguing over: cats in the nuclear apocalypse jet being a prewar drug one ghoul kid surviving in a fridge for 200 years neither of which are even remotely consequential to the plot or game? Why does it fucking weird so many people out that they decided to add in FUCKING CATS? "Lorebreaking" is if they suddenly made the NCR and the Brotherhood best buddies, not if they decided to add 10 cat NPCs to the game. And jet being a prewar drug literally does not matter at fucking all, who gives a shit about Myron. Why does the origin of a fucking drug matter at all? And seriously? ghouls not needing food or water? A thing that is mentioned in ONE sidequest that is just a parody of old lassie TV shows? It's never mentioned at all in any other dialog, quest, or in-game note in the entire wasteland. For all we know, this ghoul kid could just be a one-of-a-kind freak of nature. The entire quest is just a toss away joke and you guys are acting like it's some sacred all-important rule of Fallout. There are some actual issues with Fallout 4, and none of them are whether or not bethesda added fucking CATS and ONE ghoul that doesn't need to eat or drink to the game. This is the definition of being nitpicky.

I was under the impression people liked [sp]Liberty Prime[/sp]
I never knew polite disputes and discussions were full blown arguments
Can't believe you missed that part were everyone told the game is shit because of the cats Because i think i missed it too
I gave Danse a hardhat and he instantly started actually using it [t]http://i.imgur.com/ndypE0Q.png[/t] Neat! [editline]t[/editline] This is actually really handy because at night he draws all the aggro while I sneak around and kill everyone.
I never knew polite disputes and discussions were full blown arguments
The last page has been nothing but people flaming because I said "ghouls are magic" which was obviously meant to be taken figuratively and not literally. That's really no longer in the realm of polite dispute. [editline]13th December 2015[/editline]
I gave Danse a hardhat and he instantly started actually using it [t]http://i.imgur.com/ndypE0Q.png[/t] Neat! Oh, whoops. I just assumed that it was a nice discussion, considering that these topics were discussed before.
So close yet you forgot to add "ITS JUST A GAME STOP BEING UPSET LOL NERDS" I'm disappointed
because that's not the argument I'm making. I'm not saying it's bad to be upset because of a game, I'm saying it's bad to be upset because a game has cats and one weird ghoul that doesn't fit the lore.
The way Danse and most other PA npcs are coded to act as tanks is really neat.
Strong will do it too, as far as I've seen. He can't sneak, and he instantly aggros all nearby enemies to himself on sight. Give him a melee weapon and he'll charge forward ahead of you, and while all the enemies bunch around him, you can pick them off from a safe distance.
Everyone should just calm down. Because I just got word of another settlement that needs our help. I'll mark it on your maps.
Is there a GAU-8 sound replacement mod for the minigun?

Like Fallout 4's world looks really pretty, but navigating devastated urban areas is always my least favorite thing when I'm trying to do a quest in any game. I'd like some open space, y'know?
Strong is practically a chaotic evil companion, he enjoys killing random people and hates pretty much anything that has to do with not killing random people.
Strong is practically a chaotic evil companion, he enjoys killing random people and hates pretty much anything that has to do with not killing random people.
That's a shame, I'd like to have a companion that doesn't flip their shit over me eating people (which is bullshit in itself because even if your companion is 3 rooms down they still know you did it)
When did this thread become NMA? A week ago it was legitimate issues, now its nitpicking about cats a ghoul child and jet. :unimpressed:

You can play him on a relatively peaceful run as long as you don't lockpick/hack terminals, react violently in dialogue, and attack people on a regular basis.
Yeah, Strong sucks because he hates it if you lockpick anything, which is about the dumbest "dislike" of all of the followers I feel
Lockpick AND Hack. It's like throwing away 2 major gameplay mechanics. If Bethesda gave me a fucking "shoot lock to open door" mechanic then I'd be fine with it but no of course not.

The fastest way to increase affinity with him is kill a bunch of raiders, then save and quit between each one you have to reset the affinity cooldown.
Yeah, Strong sucks because he hates it if you lockpick anything, which is about the dumbest "dislike" of all of the followers I feel
Speaking of dumb lockpicking things: You can pick locks in power armor, but apparently hacking terminals is impossible? Yeah okay tell me which one requires more motor ability [editline]13th December 2015[/editline]
Lockpick AND Hack. It's like throwing away 2 major gameplay mechanics.
Speaking of dumb lockpicking things: You can pick locks in power armor, but apparently hacking terminals is impossible? Yeah okay tell me which one requires more motor ability
You can hack terminals fine in power armor, but you can't sit in chairs and some terminals make you sit in a chair to access it.
I was under the impression people liked [sp]Liberty Prime[/sp]
[sp]The entire Liberty Prime sequence was a worse version of Fallout 3's. There's also no strategic reason why the BoS even needed him, they could've just dropped all the nukes they got ontop of the institute and it would probably have had the same effect.[/sp]
Affinity reminds me so much of the Karma System from FO3, just on an interpersonal level instead of a player character level
To be fair, having the ability to bash open doors/safes would negate the point of lockpicking. It would need a rework, perhaps making it the 'stealthy' option whereas breaking the lock is going in guns blazing.
You can hack terminals fine in power armor, but you can't sit in chairs and some terminals make you sit in a chair to access it.
Ah, that explains it. I only tried one terminal because I only recently joined the BoS so I could get some power armor and have Danse as a companion
In terms of lockpicking, it'd be nice if you could get an arm upgrade for power armor that lets you force locked things open (which don't require keys) at the cost of a percentage of your fusion core, and some of the durability of your PA's arms, with how much it takes depending on the lock's difficulty. Master locks would cost almost 25% of your core and be absolute murder on your PA's arms. It would even play a "heavy servos struggling and metal creaking before a loud crack" sound effect when accessing the container or opening the door.
Affinity reminds me so much of the Karma System from FO3, just on an interpersonal level instead of a player character level
Well it was designed to replace it and is definitely a step in the right way, but i think its to easy max people out it takes like maybe 2 hours to max out a companion from doing there liked things. In my case i never had them say anything even when i did a lot of things they dislike just the text in the corner and nothing came of it.
I would love a whole noir DLC featuring Nick. He is just an interesting character that they could really expand on.
I would love a whole noir DLC featuring Nick. You can essentially lockpick your way into Piper's pants.
