If there's any DLC revolving around Nick, it'd probably involve [sp]Kellog's personality surfacing in him assuming that wasn't some throwaway plotline.[/sp]
I am always ready for a round two.
Also, isn't Nick the only companion besides Piper who cannot completely die in one way or another?
This total essential status implies the both of them might have a big part to play later on.

[sp] wait can you kill preston?[/sp] Share with me your arcane secrets.
I am always ready for a round two.
that round two line is probably my favourite line in the whole fucking game

I don't think dogmeat and codsworth can die.
I am pretty sure you can kill every companion, besides Dogmeat and if they have a big part of the story, if you get them to hate you enough to stop traveling with you.
1. I don't see how it is "worse"? Like what does that mean?
2. Collateral damage with that second option. Many times, the BoS mentions [sp]"we need the people of the commonwealth on our side to help them bla bla something like that [/sp]
[sp]In Fallout 3, it's a big battle with stuff going on all around, in fallout 4, he just walks a bit, throws a nuke at a group of synths, and keeps walking. It doesn't help that there was no special music or anything, and that Liberty Prime kept getting stuck on stuff and having to turn 90 degrees to move around it.[/sp]
I don't think dogmeat and codsworth can die.
Well they're relatively minor as far as story significance goes. Nick and Piper are essential no matter what happens, even if they abandon you out of disgust.

Also, though I haven't tested this myself, apparently even if you remove that flag and kill them, they respawn at, of all places, [sp]the sentinel site (!?!)[/sp] a few ingame days later.
So how is the Fallout Anthology thing? Anyone got it?
I've been thinking of getting it since I saw three copies at my local gamestop, and I'm unsure of whether or not I should get it. It's limited time only, isn't it? So I guess if I changed my mind and I didn't think I needed it I could probably sell it for more than I paid at some point in the future.
Speaking of the [sp]Sentinel Site, it's probably one of the most eerie locations in the game. It kind of freaked me out a bit first time I found it, just seeing the outline of this strange, isolated pyramid structure in the distance of a dust storm. I wish the Glowing Sea had more surprises like that.[/sp]
That's a shame, I'd like to have a companion that doesn't flip their shit over me eating people (which is bullshit in itself because even if your companion is 3 rooms down they still know you did it)
Strong likes it, and there are a few companions who are indifferent (Hancock, Curie, Codsworth)
I'll admit, at the end of the Confidence Man quest I was expecting something super corny to happen like [sp]travis to literally become grognak the barbarian with an aura of masculinity and a voice 2 octaves deeper, not to mention a jaw that could cut through cinder blocks.[/sp]
visual of what I was expecting

there must be another person out there who confused ron perlman with tom waits and thought tom waits really liked fallout
Isn't the only source of that Moon War stuff the mural in the Museum of Freedom?
I gave Dogmeat's girlfriend her own house, aren't they cute together? :v:

Wait what? You can get more dogs?
sometimes you can find a dog breeder walking around with a dog for sale
I think i've completed my personal suit of Power Armor

Disagrees for what? that it's not just a full suit of X-01?
In the glowing sea, isn't the [sp]wrecked vertibird[/sp] you can find a different model than the others you see in the game ?
[sp]It looks closer to what you could find in Fallout 2 and is completely closed up, while all the others are opened on the side[/sp]

Curie decided to give me a workout by standing on my arm while I screwed in a non-existent bolt on the back of my power armor’s leg
What is all that adjective vomit at the top of the screen?
I find it funny that the name can be long as shit with the mods but there's a limit when naming it yourself.
What is all that adjective vomit at the top of the screen?
ZephyrWarrior's Power Armor Overhaul mod that allows Power Armor modding to get a lot more specific
I find it funny that the name can be long as shit with the mods but there's a limit when naming it yourself.
i find it annoying as hell
i found a Staggering Missile Launcher [hell yeah] and after modding it i just wanted to manually shorten the name. The best i can do is either Stagger Missile Launcher which just sounds awkward, or Staggering Missile Launche.
At the very least there could have been a button to 'reset to default.' Gosh would that make organization a lot easier
because that's not the argument I'm making. I'm not saying it's bad to be upset because of a game, I'm saying it's bad to be upset because a game has cats and one weird ghoul that doesn't fit the lore.

When did this thread become NMA? A week ago it was legitimate issues, now its nitpicking about cats a ghoul child and jet. :unimpressed:
The story issues have already been discussed in depth. Does the fact that there's issues with the main story somehow make the fact that there's also issues with specific quests or retcons not important?
And for the record I'm glad cats are back, although I wish they were more mutated since big mutated cats that stalk you from trees sound fun.
I was under the impression people liked [sp]Liberty Prime[/sp]
Bit of a love/hate thing for me, he's super over the top and is way more Bethesda Fallout than Black Isle/Interplay Fallout. The scene in 3 was pretty funny but the fact that nine times out of ten he just walks into the river and disappears into the sunset gets annoying fast
yeah she could have, maybe cait's an FEV leprechaun, maybe Dublin raised itself on massive legs and jumped into orbit, who cares outside of the fact that that entire glaring in-your-face feature of the character is actually never explained
Cait's probably faking an Irish accent like Moriarty did. Considering both their accents are fucking awful and sound nothing like an Irish accent.
Strong is practically a chaotic evil companion, he enjoys killing random people and hates pretty much anything that has to do with not killing random people.
Not entirely true
He's more chaotic nuetral with a good slant. He likes killing and likes resolving things with fighting, but he likes random acts of kindness to humans.
Basically the optimal strong build is a melee-fighting cannibal, who doesn't use power armor, and randomly helps people (ie: humans) as a good samiritan.

It's the "wot irish sounds like in america" accent.
Man I really wanted to give the railroad a chance but [sp]once you become director of the institute it's pretty much entirely up to the protagonist to decide whether the synths should have more rights or not past the game's shown events, so the railroad is pretty dumb and pointless in the big picture.
Pretty much the only reason I'm going with the railroad is because I don't want to disappoint Nick and I dislike the minutemen more than the railroad.
At least my character is built to be a freedom-loving, idealistic token good guy so he doesn't feel out of place in this bunch of idealistic dumbasses.[/sp]

Cait talks about being Irish a lot.
Perhaps she clings to the accent because it's her only way of remembering her cultural identity?

Well Allistair Tenpenny was confirmed to actually be from Great Britain, so it's not impossible that there was a ship at some point that made its way through the Atlantic with a bunch of Europeans onboard. This could be where Cait, Moriarty, the Bobrov Brothers and other such characters come from.
It's not out of the question that some ships were repaired and used to sail across the Atlantic in search of survivors or in search of not-so-fucked-up lands.
