testing out some new lighting
How did you get that shadow light? did you use FO4Edit to edit one of the settlement lights into a huge shadow caster?
Like, why does Raul not get his trigger set if you've already heard a line of dialogue? He hasn't heard it yet, it's a new outlook to him. Don't talk to these random old people before you go up Super Mutant Mountain or you permanently break his quest.
I remember this being an issue with Boone as well, though his triggers were more obvious. It was possible to be unable to do his quest because you hit all his triggers first.
How did you get that shadow light? did you use FO4Edit to edit one of the settlement lights into a huge shadow caster?
Can't remember, there's a mod on Nexus called Extended/Improved/Better Workshop Lights or something that I used for the searchlights and floodlights to cast shadows & be brighter
testing out some new lighting
How are you putting the lights on the wires? With the console?
How are you putting the lights on the wires? With the console?
You can actually hang lights on the power lines by default. Only found out just recently about that one. Edit: I'm not sure why I'm getting the disagrees, I don't have any mods for this, yet hanging lights from cables works just fine for me.
You can actually hang lights on the power lines by default. Only found out just recently about that one.
Not for me and like, 100 other people. I heard somewhere that it needs to be on the same tile or something, but I'm not sure what that means.
With all the complaints against this game, nobody's noticed that it DOESNT have some annoying as shit phrase like the infamous Patrolling the mojave...
You're tied to dis place kid, yer energee.
I haven't met Curie yet but [sp]I think making her into an Assaultron would've been cooler than a synth.[/sp]
2. Fire that Emil Pagliarulo fuck.
honestly, this bethesda has some sort of debt or gratitude towards Emil but he proved more than once that he's fucking mediocre and can't write for shit and they still keep using him It's not that hard nor that expensive to just hire a better lead writer for fucks sake
Like, why does Raul not get his trigger set if you've already heard a line of dialogue? Don't talk to these random old people before you go up Super Mutant Mountain or you permanently break his quest.
That's a bug (surprise another bug in NV) The triggers would exist of course but Ranger Andy and the others were still intended to recognize Raul with you even if you had talked to them before (and you had no reason not to talk with Ranger Andy since he gives you a quest and an unarmed move) This same bug affects everyone else but since you get them way early in their quests or they have way more triggers (and not only conversation triggers like raul - just bringing Arcade to the fort for example gives a lot of points) it's only really noticeable with Raul that was intended to activate his quest only with dialogues Joshua Sawyer commented about this a while ago, lemme see if i can find his post
About the best moment in the game so far: [sp]I waited until I reached level 44 to actually visit the institute (2++ days of savetime) Father sends me off to Liberia or whatever its called (which I cleared out ages ago) with the stupid courser. As soon as I land a brotherhood chopper is there as well which the courser starts a fight with (which ends up to be a knight/scribe)--then some random robots show up which only attack me yet the brotherhood and courser both attack them. So I just hide and wait for the gunfight to finish. Then I proceed to Liberia and everytime I fire a shot from my sniper rifle the courser goes (keeping in mind he is supposed to be super advanced AI or some shit): "We've got company" Then he falls off a plank into the water, stays underwater and keeps saying the same thing every time I shoot someone. Then I make it to the door that takes you to the roof of the shipwreck and he magically teleports next to me to give me tactical advice.[/sp] tl;dr the game's faction system is abhorrent. Speaking of what I just wrote: [sp]if the institute has the ability to remotely teleport coursers back to the institute THEN WHY THE FUCK CAN'T THEY JUST REMOTELY WIPE SYNTHS IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE[/sp] [sp]also, if one of the story points had you specifically fighting in an area "because that's where coursers teleport" then how come the courser can just teleport from liberia woop woop[/sp]

And they sunk right to the bottom, never to be seen again.
Also i don't really like permanent companion perks. I think their perks should be enjoyed while they're still with you. Like, stay with Boone and he spots shit for you. Stay with Cass and drinking with her will be better for you. Stay with ED-E and it will spot things far away for you, etcetera. It's not something you spend enough time with them and then absorb for yourself without them around, you're not megaman.

I figured it was some cool underwater tech recovery random encounter, so it wasn't until i swam down and saw them just standing around as the vertibird crashed into a bridge overhead that i realised something had just gone very wrong with the ai.

The pilot said the usual BoS shit.

[editline]edit[/editline] If a Vertibird DOESN'T explode then you know something is terribly wrong.

[editline]edit[/editline] If a Vertibird DOESN'T explode then you know something is terribly wrong.
why does the [sp]courser/institute[/sp] fire at vertiberds/BoS by default? Doesn't seem to make much sense if they're after just one thing on the outside. Besides which the [sp]courser[/sp] got his fucking ass kicked by the BoS really quickly.

They may be underwater but at least they actually survived. You basically just saw a unicorn.
The glowing ones are pretty neat, haven't bumped into any yet because I'm waiting for the pc upgrade before continuing fallout 4 but the putrid glowing one on the wiki looks cool so I thought I should draw it.
Good patience to start the game but not continue for PC upgrade. Won't get mine till Mid December realistically and I'm on this perfect threshold of "High graphics-but-40-50fps". [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] about to hit you up with some Hancock Frock Coat recolors [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/m4mnITF.png[/thumb]
Do we really gotta keep spoiler tagging curie at this point lol
yeah
yeah
Eh, from what I've seen of the spoiler tagging, doing it for her name is sort of over the top, I mean it's not like people spoiler tag Strongs name, or freaking Hancocks name, who are both technically as hidden as Curie is. The other thing is understandable.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/m4mnITF.png[/thumb]
My god that purple recolor is garish as hell, the rest are great though.
You're tied to dis place kid, yer energee.
I hope the colour of my energy's blue Also: [t]https://i.imgur.com/ylISOcE.jpg[/t]
It's important to because unlike [sp]Danse, who's always a humanoid[/sp] a screenshot of her can spoil the whole thing entirely. [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline]
My god that purple recolor is garish as hell, the rest are great though.
yeah I know, it's loosely joker colored for anyone who wanted to a run themed off that (the facial features clearly supports this)
I was thinking it would be a good idea for Bethesda to make it so exiting out of terminal hacking does not reset you attempts, but even if that was fixed I bet most people will just make a quicksave for every time they spot a terminal to hack anyway.
I've been playing around with creation engine on skyrim to get a feel for maybe how the fallout tools are. Can you not even import your own heightmap on the damn thing?
Tried my hand at Isaac Clarke, with a minimal effort Nicole Brennan as well. I mean at least lockpicking isn't a fucking chore that takes longer than it should, Luckily I have Nick for it though even he has his problems, I still can't believe Nick can get locked out of computers if he fails indefinitely, who thought that was a good idea? Also no, that's a terrible idea.
