Is anyone else getting bugs with [sp] The Last Voyage of the USS Constitution [/sp] quest? [sp] Every time the robots send me somewhere to get a part, I don't get a map marker for the item, and the item doesn't even spawn where it should be. [/sp]
They should make a preorder benefit for Fallout 5 that sends one of their writers to a creative writing class.
I gotta admit, I thought the [sp] 10 years actually being 60 [/sp] thing was pretty neat. [sp] Mostly because I was expecting the real twist to be that 1 year turned out to be 10.[/sp]
For me, I adored fallout 3, and fallout 4 feels a lot like fallout 3 but better in a lot of ways. Basically for all its flaws fallout 4 is becoming one of my favorite games the exact same way fallout 3 did.
maybe Bethesda just knows they aren't good at RPG mechanics so they're just focusing on perfecting their style of game
Pretty much the way to sum up FO4 is that it's almost nothing like the original 2 games but it can stand on it's own. An issue I have is that bethesda still hasn't gotten endgame balance down yet, and they're always damage sponges. I mean FFS this problem has been around since Morrowind and that games combat is just as about as engaging as watching paint dry while tapping your finger on your lap. At least their gameplay has gotten better. And their RPG has always been iffy. Morrowind never had many choices. Oblivion never had many choices etc etc. The only choices you really get with the games is that you either do a quest or you don't. And when the games had choices, there weren't very sterling.
bethesda is able to make tes better because it's their own product, they aren't adhering to a world already established. that being said bethesda still retcons the shit out of fallout to fit their vision, which is basically tes with lasers.
is anyone else experiencing this: At Settlements, when standing near some objects, they get all fadey and blurred? Almost like it's some bug with how DOF visually operates. at first i thought it was just custom modded objects- like the gun racks or Homemaker stuff, but then I saw it on one of my normal walls after rotating the position using the console. Is this some issue with the game information not being updated? Is this the thing that becomes fixed after fast traveling in-and-out of the zone or reloading the save? the issue is rare, but it's definitely there and it causes me a lot of anxiety when choosing to install Settlement object mods. [editline]13th December 2015[/editline] for everything else it's random, but it feels more consistent with planter boxes

Thankfully I was able to get the intelligence requirement just by wearing some hat. [/sp] [sp]The one I'm on now doesn't give an option for repair, only finding a replacement. The objective in the pip-boy is just "Find FLL3 Turbopump Bearings." [/sp]
I love Wasteland Whisperer.
Mine keeps bugging out, I aim at them, and pacify for like 2 seconds and they go back to hostile.
So, i spent all day giving my guy tattoos.
there are body tattoos? is that a texture mod? i need an adult? help?
It's a texture mod, But i used the Unique Player mod so that the texture would be his texture, and his alone!
Anyone else probably killed all of the diamond city patrol guards on accident?
How the fuck did you even do that accidentally
How the fuck did you even do that accidentally
I always thought they were raiders or gunners, so every time I see a gunfight break out in the city streets, I end up killing all of them. I always forget that VATS ID's the NPCs and so I didn't figure out I sniped Diamond City Guards by mistake until I start looting their corpses.
I had a weird bug where a couple BOS Soldiers were showing up with Red names in VATS but they were friendly.

So a friend of mine did a piano arrangement of FO4's theme that I thought you guys might enjoy.
Morrowind.. iffy RPG.. what kind of weird alternate dimension Morrowind did you play? Morrowind is a fantastic RPG.
I think he was just talking about how strong it was in the choices/consequences department, which was barely a thing in Morrowind, and has never really been a big thing in any of their RPGs. With that in mind, making a sequel to Fallout was possibly one of the silliest damn decisions they have ever made, since that's literally the bread and butter of the series. Hell It's even in the name, Fallout is a double entendre, both referring to the obvious nuclear fallout, and the fallout from your decisions.

To everyone complaining that this game isn't a great rpg. In my opinion, it's that F04 doesn't suit your playing style or you're just not being creative enough. For example when I run into doors that aren't accessible I just ~unlock them and shoot a rocket at the door. Expending ammo and metagaming a little bit, which is required when you're roleplaying sometimes. At first I kept dying because my play style kept getting me killed as I liked to run and gun. As I leveled my character I started seeing success with a wide arsenal of weapons and using explosives and sneak attacks to win every battle. The extensive load times have influenced me to be a lot more cautious about dying or being reset. I even started checking my corners so I don't explode. In a way this game has cultivated a new mind set on how to go about the gameplay as I have progressed. Either I, or the game, have adapted. Let's just saying it's a beautiful symbiosis that has made this probably one of my most favorite games ever. I have yet to find the need to modify the game using nexus downloads, although I have been writing new ideas and features to add to the game if I ever have a chance to take a whack at G.E.C.K. in the future. To me this game has given me an unrivaled experience to virtual reality. Sitting in my room with a surround sound sub woofer and earphones to listen to the highs and feel the booming bass. I really have to give it to Bethesda they hit the nail on the head. I won't say at first the game felt that it lacked depth, and it was a rough start, but in hindsight. The game was designed to create that feeling of wariness, but for some reason I could not put it down. I have grown as my character has and taken the wasteland into my own hands. Even the NPC's have given me a new confidence and their amazing social influence they have had on me adds so much to this game. To really have fun you have to be able to ignore the minor glitches and preconceived notions of what a game or rpg is supposed to be. Use your child like imagination and encompass yourself, isolate yourself if you must. This is an amazing game that I will never forget!
Man, I forgot how much of a pain the ass Molerats are in Fallout 1.

Has anyone figured out what brahmin actually do at settlement aside from walk around getting in the way and making noises? Don't seem to get any meat or anything from them
I just ~unlock them and shoot a rocket at the door.
Wait I'm sorry, what, you shoot a rocket at the door, I assume this your way of making an explosive entry yes? Roleplaying? Wow.

With this sort of reasoning Halo is an RPG because you decide to snipe from a distance rather than rush in guns blazing.
