is anyone else experiencing this: At Settlements, when standing near some objects, they get all fadey and blurred? Almost like it's some bug with how DOF visually operates. at first i thought it was just custom modded objects- like the gun racks or Homemaker stuff, but then I saw it on one of my normal walls after rotating the position using the console. Is this some issue with the game information not being updated? Is this the thing that becomes fixed after fast traveling in-and-out of the zone or reloading the save? the issue is rare, but it's definitely there and it causes me a lot of anxiety when choosing to install Settlement object mods. [editline]13th December 2015[/editline] for everything else it's random, but it feels more consistent with planter boxes
this happens if you position the object in console with setpos. after you have it where you want it, enter build mode, select the object, and deselect it so that it snaps back to where it was. it will go back to the coordinates you set with setpos, but will no longer be blurry. im very glad i realized that early on because if i hadnt my entire base would look like it was vibrating constantly. really ugly.
Also what are those green markers/arrows in there?
Demolitions perk that shows you the ark of a grenade.
Ah alright, great.. Though I still wonder, does anyone know of a bug that turns explosive gun flashing to green? It happened 1-2 times per magazine (11 shot mag), or if I go into Pipboy and back, then the first round would always produce a green lightning. Kind of a like a tracker round, but certainly must be a bug, and annoying. Loaded back, and it was gone,.. meh. Mentioned this a few pages back, just wondering if any1 else got it.
Just finished building a house on the drive-in. Really happy with how the exterior turned out though. Building the whole thing got me two levels :v:
Turns out Bethesda is taking advantage of some looping points that you can embed into WAV files which you can do yourself by using a free program called Wavosaur. Interesting. At least I got it to work but it loops poorly and I need to figure out if the noise I have looping is the actual rounds being fired or if that is the sonic boom. I am not a gun expert so if someone here could tell me which it is I can then refine this to sound better. I may also need to make it much louder but at least it works!?
Depending on how the sounds are handled, you might want to isolated one part of the BRRRRT. The stuff before that BRRRRTTT is the bullets landing, the BRRRT itself is the sound the gun makes from a distance and reaches the target last because the bullets are supersonic.
who you calling "that one guy" ? Also what are those green markers/arrows in there?
decided to bind my ingame screenshot key to my grenade throwing key, oops also there's a guy in the game that if you read some of the dialog on the terminals has an STI from a ghoul.
who you calling "that one guy" ? Also what are those green markers/arrows in there?
there's a terminal that details a man who got an std from fucking a ghoul the green markers show the path of your grenades before you throw them after you take a certain explosives related perk

Do settlers navigate the place nicely? Well, if there's jobless people around? But also in the morning, settlers do roaming/drugs/cooking/drinking for an hour or two. Or be turned into, like Skyrim played with vampires and werewolves. DLC please mother of god.

Fuckers are annoying, complain all the time and have no sense of privacy - last thing I want is to come back from days of exploring the wastes only to find a random farmer I don't even know sleeping in my bed. If there ever comes a mod or some workaround to prevent settlers from sleeping in a specific bed then I'll probably put a bunch of sleeping bags in the generator room and set up some totally not shady at all farm for some good old fashioned [del]slave labor[/del] settler management.
Is there a mod somewhere out there that makes the Mining Helmet invisible? I love using it, but i hate seeing it.
Is there a mod somewhere out there that makes the Mining Helmet invisible? I love using it, but i hate seeing it.
There is a mod that turns the pipboy light into a headlamp, if that's what you mean. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2255/?
riot armor from lonesome road was the best version of it imo

where is this from who is making it
The guy making it's twitter is here, he streams the progress sometimes. Haven't tried, but can try. Now, why build such a place like that if no settlers though? I'm sure you can store a single favorite power armor and some shit in a single bunker. You can even stack walls to make a bigger hall, but it's really tricky lemme see here.. A lot of videos out there about shit like that, not the one I was looking for initially.

I may fence off the house and separate it a bit then build a bunch of smaller houses next to a farm at some point to actually turn the place into a proper estate, but for now I'm happy with it only having my character be around. If dogmeat didn't disappear into the nether after I told him to get its ass to sanctuary I probably would have brought him here as well :v:
It's a shame we can't play as a ghoul, like for real. Or be turned into, like Skyrim played with vampires and werewolves. DLC please mother of god.
Because in TES being a vampire or werecreature is a reversible process, whereas becoming a ghoul isn't.
Mods with loose files like custom meshes and textures are crashing my game, but I've done all the necessary ini edits to enable mods. Anyone have any idea what's wrong?

Is that a problem? I opted out of the beta since last patch, and I deleted my ini files since then
Oh, shit. Is that a problem?
I always assumed it was because bethesda thought players couldn't quite comprehend that their actions may have consequences. Not to mention it would mean having to write a lot of dialogue of random npcs being racist towards the player for being a ghoul, and potentially (if they want to do it right) having to revoice all of the lines with chain smoking raspy voices.
I opted out of the beta since last patch, and I deleted my ini files since then
Why..? I'm on the "beta" patch, to me it came automatically, but it hasn't caused any problems at all. So, I can only help you if you run on beta patch, at least I know how to enable modding for it.. it's p. simple stuff. [editline]14th December 2015[/editline]
I always assumed it was because bethesda thought players couldn't quite comprehend that their actions may have consequences. Lol, alternate start with main character turning out as a ghoul from the vault due to radiation contamination. "Aww, shit." Wouldn't work with all the current NPC lines and dialog
Well there doesn't seem to be a beta patch out right now, and I deleted the ini in case there were bad edits
