Remember back in Fallout 3 and NV when you couldn't even jump/fall and shoot at the same time? Like if you were in combat and you fell off something you had to sit through the landing animation before you could shoot again, that was just so asinine and I'm glad it's gone in the new combat system.
Settlements have been weird lately. I went to visit Jamaica Plain after building it up and promptly abandoning it, only to find this lovely crowd flooding in [t]http://i.imgur.com/nClTPSN.jpg[/t] I also gave the settlement robot mod a shot, and I wanted to keep my utility protectrons in a glass house. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DA3JcZ5.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/bJbc4mQ.jpg[/t] It did not work out. They teleported to the roof and ground before my eyes.
Is this better? I decided to go and use the test fire footage of the GAU8. If it is then i'll sort out a unique reload and also work on the firing mechanics sound next.
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/ipwajf.webm[/vid]
(I put it in quotes so mobile users don't get fucked)
I wonder if the assaultron beam can be 'reverse engineered' to create an actual continuous laser gun.

Danse Spoiler: [sp]Danse needed some purpose after he was kicked out of the brotherhood. Good thing the Minutemen are always looking for new recurits. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/401182272581674906/CEFEFE739F841CAD9C13EF2560B589D380B80F01/ I have him on guard duty. To bad he won't go to the guard post.[/sp]
I kinda wish when you wore power armor a certain number of pieces have to fall off in order for you to die. Getting killed in full power armor feels really dumb and underwhelming.
I wonder if the assaultron beam can be 'reverse engineered' to create an actual continuous laser gun.
Why this wasn't a mod for the gatling laser, I'll never know.
Just take the Vault 81 [sp]disease[/sp] like a man damnit.
[sp]You're just mad that Dogmeat is better at science than Curie.[/sp]
I wonder if the assaultron beam can be 'reverse engineered' to create an actual continuous laser gun.
That wouldn't be hard to do. Just increase the fire rate, make the accuracy perfect, and change the sound effect.
What robot settlement mod would that be?
This is the mod in question; It's made by the RobCo Certified guy. It's more fleshed out in terms of settlement protection. It also has a compatibility patch for this mod, which is great because this one includes buildable followers.

Gonna shamelessly plop this here.
That sounds too low quality, it's jarring compared to the other sounds in the game.
My source material is not very good. It's either that above which I won't lie I pulled off of a youtube video, or this freesound.org stuff which has the sound recorded at a distance which I was originally going to use until I realized it's very difficult to get it to loop nice.
That's the natural consequence of a realism mod--it makes things realistic. So no wonder you'd get fucked up if you charge into a gun battle with a baseball bat. The only way I can think of to counteract it is to make guns and ammo very rare, so that while gun-wielding enemies are very dangerous, you only deal with them in small numbers or on their own. If energy weapons are commensurately even rarer, then your choice of weapon specialization would follow a gradient of low-versatility/practical to high-versatility/impractical, with melee/unarmed at one end, energy weapons at the other, and guns in the middle.
They already made this mod, it's called STALKER.
Why this wasn't a mod for the gatling laser, I'll never know.
Would've been a neat and actually unique mod, too. Assaultron's Gaze
It's just a detached Assaultron head hooked up to some batteries.
Oh, a sniper rifle that that does double damage if the target is at full health, looks like I'm gonna be a stealth sniper now.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/zwj8ccR.jpg[/t] If my settlers don't stop leaving the fucking doors open, I'm booting their asses into the wasteland.
One last thing about what I said about the rubberbanding leveling system: I feel like Fallout 4 could've used something like Borderlands 2 in which you can overlevel NPCs for a bigger challenge. I feel like on Survival every NPC should be at least 3-5 levels higher than you, or however many levels it takes for them to have skulls next to their name.
I think I would like it better if weapon damage was only affected by the type of ammo, at least for guns. There's no reason a .45 SMG does less than half the damage of a .45 rifle. It would be better IMO if the only things that perks changed was things like reload speed, accuracy, recoil etc. On another note is there a mod somewhere that lets you see more clearly what each settler is assigned to do, with a way to cancel tasks? one of my settlers keeps going back and tending to crops that I got rid of four in-game days ago. He's just crouched down on the ground, playing with dirt, and I can't get him to do anything else even when I assign him to a different task.
Survival is only difficult in the beginning because everything has inflated HP and hits like a truck and your stimpacks take years to heal you. Once I got to level 70 or so on my sniper/rifleman character shit was dying way too quick. [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] Gauss rifle modified to be a sniper and a railway rifle are OP as hell.
Minor main story spoilers I can't believe that screen is just the hacking screen. :v:
What the fuck? A deathclaw grabbed me and bugged the fuck out and got launched 200 feet in the air WITH ME STILL IN HIS GRIP. I slammed back onto the ground and died. I got dunked on, fuck.
I tried a screencap with better lightning, also changed her to ginger maybe now you guys won't confuse her with Piper [t]http://i.imgur.com/yOwwSLw.png[/t] [sp]Bonus points if you figured I've used a save from the nexus for the face[/sp] [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] I'm also slightly annoyed that when you enter power armor it takes a fresh core from your inventory rather than using one that is not Fills up your inventory with 99/100 fusion cores and such
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1018/?
Well I meant when the GECK comes out, adding those parts to the world and requiring them.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1018/?
Doesn't this mod corrupt saves if you craft too much or save in certain areas?
I finally had a "Help Defend [settlement]" happen where the settlement actually needed my help. Seven Super Mutant Primus(es?, Primii?) at Nordhagen Beach, with only three settlers there.
