So I am doing the U.S.S Constitution quest with Codsworth. He likes it when you [sp]Stay loyal to Ironsides. But hates you for trying to get back their guidance chip.[/sp]
codsworth can be confusing sometimes, but its easy to stay in his good graces. he does have an interesting view though, he likes it when you first join the brotherhood but hates it when they start getting genocidal ya he's kind of annoying that he doesn't like you doing anything mean
[sp]Because to get the guidance chip back, you have to steal it. Worth it, imo, the gun is sweet[/sp]

[sp]Already planned to. I just found it kinda funny how when talking to the scavengers, he likes when you say you will stay loyal to ironsides, but hates the action of stealing the guidance chip back for ironsides. Because for some reason the chip is flagged as owned.[/sp]
[sp]Just tell the raiders that you will side with them, get the chip, keep working with ironsides and then in the final section when they ask you to sabotage, just don't and continue working with ironsides like normal.[/sp] Thats what the guidebook says anyway. I just blew their heads off and took what I needed
Legandary effects. To find something good, you have to dig through all the shit. So I moved FO4 from my harddrive to an external that may or may not be an SSD holy fuck it runs decent now

Really wish I could get the game to run in fullscreen. I'd get better FPS if it actually worked instead of repeatedly v-blanking. Every single place I've seen that has a "Fallout 4 fullscreen fix", it's always just "use borderless window lol, hope you enjoy 40% worse performance"
holy shit that must be brutal fully upgraded, 12 shots? thats got to 1 shot swan
I got so lucky with Swan I critical super sledged him and the mysterious stranger appeared. Died before VATS was even finished.
I shot him with my two shot experimental MIRV [editline]15th December 2015[/editline] He died
psh, using mini nukes. gauss rifle is the best way to wipe out swan.

I'm not getting any content mods for Fallout 4 until the CK is released. I just keep hearing way too much about stuff ruining saves or breaking story scripts to trust it as of right now. Graphical modification, texture/model/sound replacements, sure, fine, but anything that adds something entirely new to the game is potentially risky.
My first run is always vanilla. I'll install mods on my second run.
This will honestly be the first Fallout 4 mod I finally get. The wait is killing me.
This is assuredly nitpicking but I wish he had stuck to the original design a bit closer, with shoes instead of boots. I felt they added to the whole cowboy aesthetic.
I did the [sp]institute[/sp] radiant about ferals and it asked me to wipe ferals at Jamaica Plain, but sense i already i cleared all the ferals out and settlers moved in they were all marked instead and i had to kill them all.

Helmet needs to be bigger. "Mouth" needs to be bigger too. The rest is perfect, though. Someone should tell him this.
You've been holding out this long?
I'm going to hold out until official mod tools, that way I wont break any of my saves potentially, and I give myself enough time with the game to experience most of what it has to offer vanilla. Currently on my second playthrough. [editline]16th December 2015[/editline] Also, the main reason I want the ranger armor is so I can continue my tradition of making a character who looks like Will Smith, and unleashing NCR justice upon the wastes. First I had Ranger Smith in New Vegas, then I added the armor to FO3 and had Ranger Will, FO4 will probably be full on Ranger Will Smith. I don't know why, don't judge me. :v:
I'll be honest, I'm still paranoid about this whole Bethesda.net thing. I really hope they don't pull some bullshit where using the mod tools means that the mod must be hosted on their own site. I wouldn't be so worried about it if Pete Hines didn't dodge questions about it when he was confronted on it on twitter.
I would totally pirate mods. [editline]16th December 2015[/editline] I've never pirated any other content before, but if you're required to host mods on only their site (which seems incredibly unlikely, but so did paid mods), I don't think I would abide by that.
It's the potential of curating that I'm worried about. If we have to use Bethesda's own controlled marketplace, then you're going to be waving goodbye to lots of potential mods that won't meet their sterile and corporate content standards. Whether I like them or not, I'd rather have access to mod catalog with killable children and weird sex than one that doesn't. [editline]16th December 2015[/editline] And if cross-platform compatibility for mods is the goal as well, say goodbye to script extenders too.
Paid mods were doomed from the start though. It is literally impossible to prevent plagiarism and fraud without policing each and every uploaded mod, and every single update to each and every uploaded mod. Even Apple isn't that strict. Look at what happened in the short time that system existed. Paid mods were ripping off other paid mods that were ripping off free mods from Nexus, and there was no proper licencing or crediting at any point in this messy daisy chain. It was a breeding ground for harsh three, four, even five-way lawsuits that would've only ended in disaster.
Even if everyone pirates mods, that alone doesn't fix the issue. If you make a mod that doesn't qualify for Bethesda.net and are barred by license agreement from openly hosting it anywhere else, then that's a huge hit to your mod's visibility.
I hacked first mate now he won't stop following me around.

I assume the link was actually directed to the fallout 4 workshop but since it either doesn't exist yet or is private then it just redirects you to the regular workshop.

The guys at Steam have made it clear they wanted to give the experiment another shot but not in a community that's already used to mods, so it's very likely that the next attempt won't be on a Bethesda game, since the community on these is obviously not willing to put up with it.
