The fact VATS no longer freezes time makes it a pain to use with a mouse. Enemies that move around a lot constantly overlap parts you want to select with parts you don't, and deselecting/reselecting because you made a mistake wastes time and gets incredibly frustrating.
Can't wait for a custom VATS timescale mod.
I'm pretty sure I saw one. I'll do some digging for you.

Found it.
Ah I should have been a little more specific, I meant begin forming a group of people who would like to be involved in a project like that
You can sign me up for that.
DeEz and redBadger can you guys add me on Steam? I'm away from my PC for about 30 hours haha. Anyone else interested in working on GECK content can too :)
One of the things that bother me about the whole debate concerning the main character's backstory is that people play with semantics a lot.
People call the courier's path in the divide an "event in his life", but nate being in the army for an unspecified amount of time is a "backstory". They're both events of undisclosed lengths, that have happened an unknown amount of time ago, with relatively scarce details - if anything, the details surrounding the events of the divide are far more constructed and set in stone than the details surrounding Nate's time in the war.
They're both, by all extents of the definition, chunks of backstory, and they're both vague as fuck. Saying that you're forced to be older than 25 is false, because you can definitely make a guy who looks like he's 18 years old. Being in the military doesn't mean you were necessarily on the front either - I'm a non-athletic egg-head in real life and the army was still interested by my qualifications because as it turns out, not every soldier in the army is a land trooper who's given a gun and orders. Your character could have been a cook in the navy for all we know.
The way Shaun was conceived opens a lot of ways to explain the couple's wedding. It isn't told how long they've been married for, and Shaun was definitely conceived as an accident, so whether their marriage is caused by social pressure or because of actual love is up to the player - it's even left to the player for how long they were married to begin with. It could have been a month, or it could have been a decade.
Of all those things people mention as set in stone a lot of them are really not at all, and their impression of what is "set in stone" is mostly their own interpretation of what's given to them.
Nate was in the army for an unspecified length, Nora has a law degree which she may or may not have ever used, they fucked at least once about a year prior to the start of the game. That's it.
Also if you think a lawyer can't be a 1 INT brawler who loves violence you probably missed that rather recognizable character who's been around for 30 years.
wait wait wait
since when is she-hulk recognizable?
wait wait wait

Ask anyone who's even slightly into comic books (not the movie adaptations, I mean the comic books) about the tall green woman who punches people and they're gonna know the name.
She's far from an obscure character and had an interesting place in the Civil War timeline.
wait wait wait

I gotta agree with this. I didn't know She-Hulk was a thing until I got linked to some Rule-34 of her. I immediately dismissed it as gender-switching and went to laugh it up with a buddy. That's when he kindly informed me I was wrong.

Doesn't She-Hulk keep her intelligence, though?
Doesn't She-Hulk keep her intelligence, though?
Yeah She-Hulk isn't a great example, she's just herself but with hulk powers.
[editline]edit[/editline]
In fact it's a terrible example, it's like using wonder women as an example of a 1 intelligence brawler.

I'm interested but sadly I don't have much experience except for fucking around in the geck in fallout 3 so I think that counts me out :v:
Doesn't She-Hulk keep her intelligence, though?
She still gets considerably more aggressive and if anything hostile when turned, which is a minor plot point in Civil War.
Moreover, as Errant Signal's opinion shows, it's possible to interpret 1 no longer as the absolute lowest someone can get but as just the low-average, or at the very least as nothing worth writing him about. Someone with 1 INT is no longer a complete fucking retard but instead a moron at best, and even then that's mostly up to the player because it's never really pointed out or labelled in any shape or form.

Point being that you can make a lawyer that punches things and not be out of your mind.
You can also make a lawyer who's at 1 INT by saying they just cheated through it. It's not like how the diploma was obtained is explained at all.
She still gets considerably more aggressive and if anything hostile when turned, which is a minor plot point in Civil War.
Just admit She-Hulk was a terrible example and move on, no need to pull crap out of your ass to justify you thinking of her as nothing more than a stupid brawler character archetype.

The example was about making a lawyer who's strength oriented. No need to be a pretentious ass-hat and cherrypick parts of one example to dismiss an entire argument.
Any good mods that make nights darker without impacting performance?

I was just pointing out it was a bad example and didn't really give a shit about the argument but alright.
I'll pick it up.

First of all, a brief and not very notable package delivery, at least from the couriers perceptive does not equate story wise to veteran status in one of the most important wars in the Fallout universe, that's just silly.
Second of all, how in any realm of possibility is a package delivery in any shape or form a "chunk of backstory" It's one event, like the headshot in the beginning, then you have total freedom to choose, you don't even have to acknowledge the fact that was you, it was an insignificant event that ended in something far larger, but that doesn't have to be connected to the Courier in the slightest, hell the courier honestly doesn't even seem like he/she remembers it, that's how insignificant it was.
Unlike the fact you are clearly in the military and it's very clearly stated by your wife that you are a veteran within said military, and you must be pretty important and not just a bloody cook given you are going to give a speech to all the other veterans, you also were given preferential access to the Vault program because of your status as a veteran, which isn't going to go to any old schmuck.
And you fought in the Sino American war, you were a part of the 108th Infantry Regiment's 2nd Battalion and you retired to live with your wife and to raise your child, now that's a chunk of backstory, a chunk of backstory you can't just ignore.
And it's laughable you are trying to compare an event that can go in any direction to a clear backstory for a character.
I might mod these voice lines into psycho use:

So I just completed dead money for the first time [sp]and I'm torn between whether I liked it or hated it. I was really enjoying it up until the point you actually get into the casino, but the very specific puzzles with the holograms and speakers got really annoying, and the very last one before the vault is borderline infuriating. Still I managed to get out of there with 3 bars of gold so I'm rolling in them b.caps[/sp]

I had my mind fucked when I found out you could grab all the gold bars and form them into one single object, then pick it via E and just run out with it.

U fuckin wot m8? I only got 3 because I was overencumbered, please don't say there's a way to get them all.

Basically pick them all up in your inventory, and then drop them all.
Then you can pick them up using the player ability to pick items up in game, and since items in large numbers drop as one single item you can run out with every bar.

Shit. Well I just missed out. That being said though with how much each bar sells for it I imagine it would be hard finding vendors that have enough money to make selling them worth it. The only guy I can think of who has a lot is the gun runners robot guy, and he had like 8k.
I think my game is fucked.
it all started when transporting my collection of power armour to the castle, I bugged out equipping this set of raider armour.
[t]http://puu.sh/lJp9E.jpg[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/lJpad.jpg[/t]
so I decided to try to get into another set of power armour:
[t]http://puu.sh/lJpfG.jpg[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/lJpfP.jpg[/t]
when I got out of the power armour, the raider set disappeared entirely and all was fine. until I realized the pipboy was invisible.
[t]http://puu.sh/lJpkO.jpg[/t]
works fine in the power armour though.

I can't find a way to fix it so I guess I'm just gonna have to stomp everything in with my t51b :v:

I love the storytelling of Dead Money, but I'm not too fond of the gameplay.
@mrbunneh do showinventory in the console, find your pipboy, equipitem (formid)
If you're on PC, do showinventory in the console, find your pipboy, equipitem (formid)
I've tried, doesn't fix it sadly. I've even tried unequipping the powerframe but I don't think it works like an item.
So, just reclaimed the castle. Shame about all the debris, is there any way to clean up all the mirelurk nests at least? Most of the eggs burst and I can't remove them.

That shit at the end right before the vault itself with the shielded speakers and patrolling holograms was the only part that really frustrated me, the rest I enjoyed a lot.

these things.. they take time
no really it just takes time, they will get removed eventually.
They end up disappearing.
Does anyone know a place where you can find a lot of ammo boxes?
