Anyone knows what happens if I kill Preston? Will it fail the quests? Will I still be able to make settlements become available without having to murder their inhabitants? I really don't want this much clutter in my quest list. I'd be fine with letting him live, but if I have to pulverize his ass to get a clean quest list, it'll have to happen.
You can't kill him without editing inis or getting a mod.
You can't kill him without editing inis or getting a mod.
What, really? setessential console command doesn't work?
I just walked into vault 81 in power armor and one of the guards said "Power armor? You better not be here to cause any trouble!" Like what the fuck are you gonna do?
Wait, was that always there? Nick just keeps becoming more and more interesting of a character the longer I play.
It it wasn't for Curie already covering that, it would have been cool to be able to give him a new body that's not ancient and fucked up.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/vdb3zIH.jpg[/t] Oh. I see.
What, really? setessential console command doesn't work?
Try entering "setessential 00019fd9 0" and then shoot him or use a kill command to see if he drops dead.
I wish there was a mod that makes it that a brahmin in a settlement is actually counted as food.It annoyed me that settlers can only eat crops as their food or maybe apparently all settlers are vegetarians.
You know for a world that's basically out of oil there sure are a lot of gas cans lying around, oil poured on the floor, and all your generators are gas powered.
That's a minor detail that drives me absolutely nuts about settlement building. You don't have to worry about fuel for these huge-ass generators at all, despite resource wars having been one of the contributing factors to the current state of affairs and petroleum being nearly non-existent to the point where the Enclave was squatting pretty much the only viable source of oil left in the world. I make a point of building wind turbines for my settlements wherever possible because of that.
It it wasn't for Curie already covering that, it would have been cool to be able to give him a new body that's not ancient and fucked up.
What they could've done, is give you the choice of one or the other, but not both.
Decided to reinstall New Vegas, again. I've noticed I'm starting to pay attention to all of the fans in buildings I go in. They aren't even objects you can pick up, nor do they slowly spin. I feel oddly forlorn looking at them. Fallout 4 completely changed the way I look at all the random stuff you see in these decrepit buildings.

Really? That's how this game is going to work? Rocket launcher soldiers just fire at any range, including point blank? Hitting the southeast peninsula now. This game is turning into even more of a shitshow fast and I'm only level 48 on Hard.

I love this mod. I just wish the vest's texture was less reflective, it feels more like plastic than leather.

I miss running into kill squads sent by factions that I really pissed off.
So, uh... you guys remember how the Presidential Metro was actually a hat? The baby is an armour piece. I reckon it's so that when it's "equipped", all the actor has to do is crook its arm and it looks like it's holding the baby. No need to make a separate actor for the baby or animate it or anything, just make the potato-human an armour piece and attach it to the parent and off you go.
That's the first time I've seen a parent-child relationship in a video game having a double meaning :v:
Who waltzed into Vault 81 for the first time in vault 101 jumpsuit for maximum roleplay and "just trying to fit in the crowd heh".
I can just imagine the Sole Survivor meandering about the vault, waiting for somebody to notice. Finally somebody does a double-take at the number on the back of the suit and has a long moment of confusion, but nobody else notices and the guy catches hell trying to explain to people what he saw, and nobody believes the guy.
Try entering "setessential 00019fd9 0" and then shoot him or use a kill command to see if he drops dead.
Thanks, it worked. However, it didn't fail any quests. The game didn't even show to recognize that the bastard is dead. Now I will probably have to terminate the quests manually via console... I also checked, it's apparently Troubled Waters that tells me to go talk to Preston, for some reason.

Look, there he is again! " " Don't bring him into this, I'm talking to YOU. You took two shifts in a row and now you're seeing things. " " Seriously, just turn around! " " Alright that's enough out of you. Remind me to have your room searched for chems too. "

They really should have allowed us to scrap every building. Sorry if it doesn't look that great. I have a good computer, just not a great one to run this game at ultra.
Does anyone else deliberately overdose Mama Murphy just to get her to stop wasting a settler slot? My Sanctuary is no goddamn commie settlement, everyone's got to work for their hideously mutated tomatoes.
Have fucking fun when you have a weird load into that area and everything clips through the shelf. I tried to do something similar but with 1 shelf and some random drink related items. Was fine for ages, then came back at somepoint and everything was all over the floor -_-
What you need for that is OCDecorator. Downside to the mod is that it turns items static and thus unusable, though.
Since its Fallout I feel like nuclear power is a safe bet. General Electric and Pratt & Whitney both worked on nuclear jet engines for the Air Force back in the 50s and the Soviets developed a working testbed (that killed most of its crew with radiation poisoning), so it's not hard to imagine that the US could come up with a nuclear turboprop in a world where batteries and cars are nuclear powered. If you look at the crashed airliners in the Commonwealth they have passenger seating in the wings, which is where real-world aircraft usually store fuel, so it seems likely that they were running nuclear engines.
If you climb up to the arse-end of those engines you start taking a lot of rads.
is it normal for there to be a behemoth in the middle of lexington [t]http://i.imgur.com/JIdvtvs.jpg[/t] I have 2 saves and been here loads of times and have never seen this

At least that is how it's been for me.
What makes you think that getting close to a guy with a rocket launcher is ever a good idea?!
Idk, self preservation? Really I usually do avoid them, but I happened to accidentally drop on top of a boss with a rocket launcher and I got locked there melee locking him for a minute and praying that he wouldn't have time to fire, but alas

I think it's how damn bright everything is.
I think it's either Homemaker or SSEX that adds [sp]Institute[/sp] building stuff. I wanna say the latter.
I think it's either Homemaker or SSEX that adds [sp]Institute[/sp] building stuff. I wanna say the latter.
Homemaker has some institute stuff but not much.
enemies will turn and run when they see my armor is about to overload them with miniquests
That is truly the spookiest of spookys
