Not really sure what it is, but whatever mods you're using really don't look good. I think it's how damn bright everything is.
It looks better up close. The mod I am using adds institute retextured floors and walls. I don't think the textures were meant to go good with sunlight to began with.
did u guys know that "Fallout 4 does not have a level cap, although after the level 65535 the game crashes."
"Reaching level 65,535 requires 161,062,092,801 experience points." You'd have to kill at least 2 billion enemies or get some hardcore quests. You get all perks at level 264, but that's still 2,636,576 xp points. I was hoping the max limit was Int64.MaxValue but I guess Int16.MaxValue is much more than enough.
Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but if you want more building budget in your settlements, go to the one you want, drop all of your weapons on the ground, send them all to the workbench, withdraw them and do it again. Dropping a weapon doesn't add to total objects, but putting something in the workbench ALWAYS subtracts from total objects, so if you do this repeatedly you'll see the size meter go down, the greater the weight of the weapon the faster it drops. [editline]t[/editline] Don't abuse this too much though, especially on consoles. You might end up putting too many objects into that load zone and corrupting it (at which point you'll crash every time you try to go there, forcing you to load a save before you did this if you want to fix it) On PC it's generally safe to double your budget, but from what I understand you can only go up to about 1.3x on consoles before performance starts to tank, and about 1.5x is the crash point depending on the settlement and how dense you're making it.
I wonder how far away from corrupting sanctuary I am. [editline]7th December 2015[/editline] I dont intentionally try and increase my budget, I just scrap lots of shit.
protip: if you kill a suicide mutant without them detonating you get a free mini-nuke. (maybe common knowledge but I always snipe the fuckers in their arms to make them explode)
Plastic power armour that's weaker but also incredibly lightweight or something would've been interesting. That or like vat-grown organic shielding, like synthetic augmented rhino hide or armadillo shell or something like that would've also been interesting.
The art book actually showed a concept art of what the Institute's power armor looked like. And it looked very similar to a Big Daddy from Bio Shock without the drill.
I wonder how far away from corrupting sanctuary I am. [editline]7th December 2015[/editline] I dont intentionally try and increase my budget, I just scrap lots of shit.
Objects already in that build area count towards the budget, so scrapping them is safe. What I'm talking about is tricking the game into thinking you're removing things that affect that budget when they actually don't. You're subtracting without ever having added anything. This lets you underflow the object limit and place unlimited stuff, but you risk instability.
No, you see, I drop all my shit on the ground and scrap it.

man am I glad I uninstalled the "More Armor slots" and replaced it with "Armorsmith extended" it's so much better

Also, it does have one bug with Item Sorting. I ended up having 2 Hooded Rags, but other one having [Outfit] prefix while other one does not. However they still work, and take armor slots on top of them, even if the item sorting prefix isn't there for some reason, so all is fucking good.
Trying to find out what caused this epic god-damned fight at my settlement because I want to recreate these conditions. It was like 7-10 high-level super mutants (Butchers, Masters, etc.) Do settlement raids have anythign to do with player level? Because I just hit 59 at the time. I really hope it wasn't because of a power issue lowering my Defense rating that caused that awesome fight. You'd pretty much be telling me then that I outfit my settlement with a bunch of cool turrets and traps just to raise a value so those traps never have to be used.

I like to think this makes attacks happen more often, but doesn't really seem to.. I'm guessing it scales with level too. Or it might depend on the settlement itself, i.e. sanctuary getting less attacks than a settlement way down south, but who knows really.
seriously? In the south peninsula [sp]there's a beautiful shipwrecked tanker, on a landscape that looks the most like STALKER in the game, with a really neat "interior" and deck that is crewed by norwegian (i think) speaking raiders in an endless fight against mirelurks and NOTHING COMES OF IT. It was so fucking cool and literally nothing was even written for the miniboss. fucking hell.[/sp]
also I've been trying out new looks and armor color combos with Armorsmith Extended, currently running with this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/EApwCYB.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/jV9IAHN.jpg[/t] That military cap is now actually weightless, and gives +10 extra Action Points. Gotta love this mod.
So there's this one mini-quest where this guy asks you to reactivate all his turrets so they can wreck a bunch of mirelurks. It took a while and I finally managed it and went to talk to the guy in his 'bunker'. Then this happened: Yeah every single mirelurk that was in the area suddenly got into his bunker. By climbing down a ladder: At first I thought it was scripted.
sick power armor lol
Tried a new look for Cait. A lot more simple than modding Curie.

Tried a new look for Cait. A lot more simple than modding Curie.
you have to go full insane with everything else if you're going to go the hardcore contrasty makeup route godspeed
Were you disappointed in the lack of customization in voice pitch? Check out this person's mods, does just that. Tried it out and it makes a positively noticeable difference.
Were you disappointed in the lack of customization in voice pitch?
Saints Row had a pitch changer that was pretty believable. They also had different voices, but of course you can't compare the amount of lines from Saints Row to Fallout 4, but the pitch changer was still doable and pretty cool. Even if you just wanted your character to be Ruby Rhod for some reason

Holy shit, and this is only the beginning Do please mod the sound for different variations, make a god damned Fallout Character Creation Overhaul. Shit, feel like I should do something about it.
Well, think I got my New Vegas mod set up about finalized. Everything seems to be working fine, except, uh, there's randomly a floating bit of road above Novac. I'm at a loss as to what would be causing that. :v:

I just install everything manually.. obviously you're still gonna need to launch it through one of them, and for that I used MO. but I'd also like to know what he's running
I once shot enemy so hard in the head the head fell really slowly after getting decapitated in the vats and body spazzed out into the atmosphere.

Also, I'm using MO. Forgive me if I've done anything stupid or installed anything unnecessary or incompatible. My brain kind of turns in to mush when I'm modding and I lose my ability to pay attention but it's the only way I can get through it, so :v:
I don't know why people get so flustered (not upset, not sure of the right word) about new models of power armour. Like the military only ever had 2 types and the enclave made 1 and that was it forever. It'd be cool to see private designs for power armour that were pitched to the military, like a General Atomics suit that offers moderate protection as far as power armour is concerned but has a load of convenience features by default. Or a Robb Co. suit that's got shit stats because it was designed to turn a profit, like the Protectrons. Or you know, like I suggested in the last thread, Chryslus XLR.
You know what will be cool? A National guard/Army museum. Like with prototype suits of power armour, on display. then you can grab one. And weapons! And that weird looking APC
